GEAR: THE PERFORMANCE SHAPES OF OUR NEW SURF FOIL RANGE!
Discover the new Matata, Scura, Lemon and Lethal surf foiling boards for experienced foilers! Last week we presented our mid-length...

100% high performance surf foiling board with a concentrated volume over a minimum length.
The Matata remains the most compact board in the surf foil range. With its volume/length ratio, it’s the go-to board for poor conditions and to pump from one wave to the next (indefinitely?).
This year it benefits from a major evolution in terms of shape. Its outline, still as compact, is now much narrower on the rear ⅔, offering multiple advantages:
Inertia is reduced, allowing you to be freer and more radical in each of your turn.
The paddle is much faster, allowing you to gain efficiency during take-offs.
Still as efficient at pumping, multiplying wave connections becomes child's play.
The surface area is mainly under the torso or front foot, so there isn’t much in front and behind.
With such changes in the outline, the hull of the Matata has become much more conservative in its shape. The combination of the two provides better glide, a paddling that’s less physical and an increased number of successful take-offs.
Its rocker is tighter, once again favoring paddling and take-offs.
The Matata EPS has been developed exclusively for surf foiling with a high quality monolithic Epoxy/fiberglass construction, aiming for maximum lightness. The weight saving is around 7% compared to the more reinforced FSP PRO technology. The difference is noticeable, particularly during pumping phases and in radical maneuvers.
With its perfect grip and 3mm thickness, the new Ridge Traction Pad provides absolute comfort and grip. Your support is perfectly stable, and your control surgically precise.

Buying guide
From the confirmed to the Pro, the Matata is for those with foil experience looking for performance.
Whether you’re a lightweight or of a strong build, the Matata range offers all volumes.
On this short board, you need to be a good paddler or to be at a technical level where pumping is how you move around in the line-up.
Pretty much everything you love about surf foiling is awesome on the Matata EPS Surf Foiling board. Drop with a tiny amount of foam, pick up speed, carve in a handkerchief, densify your surf, pump your way back to the peak without forcing, connect the next bump with a big turn, do this 5 times, 10 times etc…
Obviously with its mini length it is not the queen of paddling, so with this board you should favor spots with breaking waves that you can catch on your way back. And you can especially bet on its pumping performance to add up the flight minutes.

The Matata boards are perfect with the Curve H, Fluid H, Veloce H, Veloce HDW or Sirus.
The Curve H is a combo of responsiveness and lift.
It’s the queen for carving and low end conditions (which does not mean it can’t handle speed, on the contrary!). It is also the most comfortable foil for pumping, which allows you to make numerous connections when surf foiling without burning your thighs.
The Fluid H is a combo of responsiveness and speed.
Perfect for turning very short, going fast, glide and enjoying a very dynamic drive. Add to that a very powerful pop and you understand why this foil will go wherever you want, in the water or in the air!
The Veloce H is a combo of glide and versatility.
It is a freefly and downwind machine. It’s the foil to glide and connect bumps endlessly with incomparable fluidity. Accelerations on the wave are stunning and it has a very low stall speed which facilitates flight in all circumstances.
The Veloce HDW: 100% glide.
To be even more focused on infinite glide, the Veloce HDW. The queen in downwinders.
The Sirus : the ultimate high aspect wing to fly longer than everyone else in marginal conditions and for dock start sessions.
We recommend pairing a Veloce H stab with your Veloce H front wing, as these two components are designed for the same program and optimized to work in perfect harmony.
General information on the choice of stab sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your foiling discipline, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your front wing
