SUP foil Board Inflatable HIPE Intruder
Program
The inflatable SUP foil board with exceptional paddling speed, ideal for flat start, downwinds, and very light wind winging or lowkiting: fast, solid, and trip friendly.
Presentation
The HIPE Intruder a “downwind” foil SUP with exceptional paddling speed of our inflatable range.
Its long, thin shape minimizes drag and maximizes paddling speed, offering lightning-fast acceleration for a very quick takeoff. This is even more true in 2026 with the evolution of its shape, which gains drive with improved support without compromising its speed DNA. In flight, it's a rocket because its takeoff capabilities allow you to either effectively exploit sluggish conditions or choose a faster foil than on a less glideful board.
Its tight rocker enhances paddling glide and makes take-off incredibly easy. It's a rocket on flat starts ! In waves, you can get going with just two strokes, or drop in from way out in a near-flat start. And downwind, it takes off super fast on the bumps, even in a fast swell.
The feel underfoot is transformed: comfort and maneuverability are enhanced with a 10cm reduction in length, combined with a 5cm increase in width and 11L more volume. The additional volume is centrally located, providing more natural support for improved water awareness, especially during transitions or when waiting. You stay high on the water, ready to accelerate without being overwhelmed.
Confident thanks to the flat deck and Ridge Traction Pad, you can carve and accelerate endlessly, linking lines effortlessly. Whether winging or lowkiting, this crisp grip is a huge advantage for pushing the Intruder to its limits. It's also a formidable board for winging (in light winds) and lowkiting (a versatile daily rider!). In both cases, its glide and speed allow for early takeoffs and the ability to exploit even the smallest gusts. Inflated to high pressure, it offers 95% of the feel of a rigid board, without the drawbacks. It's lively and fast, and can handle impacts with ease.
This inflatable technology is lighter than the rigid version of the same size, which is itself very light! It's a truly incredible advantage for everyday use.
Like all HIPE boards in the GONG range, it represents the ultimate combination of rigid board performance and inflatable advantages. Our innovative drop-stitch board system with its ultra-rigid carbon plate is a true revolution in the world of inflatable foil boards.
Its fast shape is designed for those seeking pure, uncompromising performance. Sharper and more responsive, the HIPE Intruder rewards commitment and precision, while offering exceptional glide in every SUP foil session. It also fully expresses this potential in wing foiling and lowkiting, extending the fun and allowing you to make the most of all conditions.
OUTLINE
The outline of the HIPE Intruder is narrow and even more streamlined than its little sister, the NOTW . Its slightly reduced length does not compromise its performance in any way: the board is a gliding machine .
The board glides on the water like a SUP race board: ideal for early pop-ups and restarting in bumps.
The difference that is noticeable is the increase in contained volume around the stance: an added dose of stability that will allow you to engage even more .

ROCKER
The rocker is taut to provide optimal glide while paddling. You quickly reach sufficient speed to launch any size foil with minimal effort.
The thin tail quickly lightens the board when pumping and provides forgiveness for touchdowns in short swells.

RAILS
The rounded rails and thick tail of the HIPE Intruder enhance the glide before takeoff. You get airborne easily, almost as fast as with a rigid board. It's truly amazing.

NOSE
The point nose is tapered to glide through the water, catch less wind, and lighten the nose when pumping and turning.

PIN TAIL
Its pin tail is long, narrow, and of consistent thickness. It gives the HIPE Intruder just the right amount of rear volume for support and pop on takeoff when launching the board. But with minimal drag, it also boosts pumping and maneuverability.

A DEDICATED ICS PLATE
The plate's outline has been designed for high-level performance. Pointed at the rear, it perfectly follows the shape of the board's tail and offers maximum glide before takeoff, allowing the water to exit as cleanly as possible.
The plate is also extended at the front to better adapt to the specific practice of downwinders and flatstarts and to the very different foils that can be attached to them. It is designed to withstand the stresses of our very large front wings: the ultimate combo for early flight.
To optimize weight, glide and flex management, our plate has a unique 3D volume:
- A beam at the axis prevents any bending.
- A very soft drop in volume at the front reduces the thickness and therefore the weight, while retaining enough mechanics to support the pressures of the front heel.
- At the rear, the drop in volume is more abrupt on the sides to regain verticality which will further support the beam effect of the room.
- The whole thing is "fluidified" according to a hydrodynamic study of the flows which also promotes speed in contact with the water, valuable before flight but also to avoid braking during touches.

Buying guide
For whom?
The HIPE Intruder is designed for advanced level foilers, looking for THE high-performance inflatable downwind SUP foil board, the ultimate in its program.
Good physical condition is necessary to master this board when paddling, especially in choppy conditions. It remains fairly easy for wing foiling with sufficient experience, as it's used in calm conditions.
Significant stand-up paddleboarding experience remains essential. Staying upright in windy swells will always be a technical challenge. Therefore, practicing flat starts as often as possible is a considerable advantage for gaining experience and effectively managing take-offs.

For what?
The HIPE Intruder is a shape born from the SUP foil Downwind movement, whose use is delightful in Downwind of course, but also in waves, flat starts, and in light wind wing foiling as well as lowkiting in all conditions. This makes it a queen of versatility, and a queen of maximizing your session count!
This is the fastest board in the range. The HIPE Intruder is therefore designed to perform at its best in long swells and downwind conditions.
On the flat, you'll have a training and improvement tool for your takeoff. Mastering the flat start offers incredible technical and physical gains, especially on days that are often very quiet and therefore rarely practiced. Maximize it ;-)
In wing foiling, it adds a new dimension to your quiver. Your strapless sessions in light and ultralight winds start as soon as 6 knots, with flights from the first gusts that push the wing. And if the wind drops a little more, you can return without flying thanks to a board that glides smoothly on the water. And if it dies down completely, you'll paddle back even faster while lying down.
Even in lowkiting, its inherent glide is incredibly efficient and naturally leads you to flight. No need to overpower to take off. Nor do you need to wait for 15 knots of wind. You pump an efficient foil and off you go.
This version therefore aims to offer an alternative with the strengths of solidity, transportability and storage of the inflatable in the Intruder program in EPS Pro.
Understanding the GONG range?
Which quiver?
The HIPE Intruder will perfectly complement a wingfoil quiver to maximize flying days.
It will obviously need a suitable foil. Either a high ratio or a very large, even giant, foil to get the most out of it on flat water.
You should of course complement it with a range of SUPs without foils, surfboards for days when the waves are there, etc… to enjoy every possible session.
Which foil wings?
Our V3 foil range is now grouped into 3 families:
Perf Series for progression.
Team Series for performance.
Pro Team Series for competition.
In the Perf Series V3, here are our suggestions in line with the HIPE Intruder program:
The Trail: 100% pumping
Perfect for first attempts at flat starts, its thick profile and maximum lift make takeoff easy with low energy while remaining docile.
The Curve H FG: the combination of agility and lift.
The ultimate all-rounder for surfing, pumping and connecting to waves with ease.
The Fluid H FG: the combination of handling and speed.
Perfect for tight turns, speed, gliding, and a very responsive ride. Add to that a powerful pop, and it's a foil that truly goes wherever you want, in the water or in the air!
In Team Series V3, here are our suggestions in line with the HIPE Intruder program:
The Curve H: the combo of handling and lift .
The ultimate all-rounder for surfing, pumping and connecting waves with ease, with a carbon construction that gives it even more responsiveness, precision and versatility in freestyle wing riding.
The Fluid H: the combination of handling and speed.
Perfect for tight turns, going fast, gliding and having a very responsive ride, with a carbon construction that gives it even more responsiveness, precision and more versatility in freestyle wing flying.
The Veloce H: the glide and versatility combo.
It's a freefly and downwind machine. With it, you can glide and link bumps without limits with unparalleled fluidity. It has great acceleration on the wave and requires a very low takeoff speed. You can fly at low speeds without stalling, and it's super maneuverable for a 10:1 aspect ratio, making flying easy in all conditions.
The Veloce HDW: 100% glide.
To be at the peak of performance on the infinite glide program, the Veloce HDW stands out as the queen of downwind with its ratio of 13 and its incredible profile.
The Sirus: lift and glide.
Queen of flat starts and dock starts, the Sirus is also tireless downwind. While not as fast as its Veloce H cousins, it will help you get airborne from almost nothing. Capable of flying from a near standstill, and reaching speeds of nearly 20 knots in its smaller size, it offers an incredible wind range that's perfect for some very slow swells. It will truly make your downwind beginnings easier by freeing you from the pressure of maintaining a consistent cadence: you can take it easy and gradually increase the speed.
In Team Pro V3, here are our suggestions in line with the HIPE Intruder program:
The Ultra Trail: endless pumping and gliding
Optimized for long distances, it is ideal for experienced riders looking to maximize their performance in flat starts.
Which stabilizer?
The Curve H stabilizer will lift off very early and boost maneuverability. Great surf feel, perfect for carving in the waves.
The Fluid H stabilizer will provide more front foot pressure and lift, while remaining maneuverable rail-to-rail. A versatile and high-performance stabilizer.
The Veloce H and Veloce H DW will be perfect with the Veloce H stabilizer. Maximum glide and pumping efficiency.
These three stabilizers are very effective. Choose them according to the level of support you're looking for, whether you want a foil that provides a lot of lift or one that glides smoothly. And also according to the level of maneuverability you want.
Foil positioning?
For GONG foils, place the plate in the center of the US rails to start and move it forward a few centimeters when you start tackling tight turns (sign of good progress).
The further forward you move it, the more the board rises. The further back you move it, the more the nose of the board dips.
Be careful not to move it too far forward. There's often a tendency to not let the back foot do the work, especially when coming from kite foiling. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on your back foot, resulting in a more balanced stance and reduced effort.
What paddle length?
You will need a paddle between your height +5cm and +10cm.

What accessories?
Safety is of paramount importance for the practice of board sports, and even more so when it comes to foil sports.
A board leash is mandatory, and a waist belt version is recommended, especially for downwind paddling. It keeps your board close to you, providing a safety float within easy reach. In waves, it prevents you from injuring others. Check its condition before each session and replace it annually. It's your life jacket.
To practice in the best conditions, you really need to wear a protective helmet and an impact vest.
We have also developed a range of cut-resistant Bodyguard textiles, which provide additional protection against the risk of cuts associated with foiling. The risk is always present, but it is even greater during the learning phase. The fluorescent yellow version also offers increased visibility and therefore greater safety at sea.
We strongly recommend that you protect yourself as much as possible.
Good to know:
We remind you that downwind paddling is a demanding sport with significant risks. Always practice safely, never more than 300 meters from the shore, or only with reliable assistance (at a minimum, a certified boat with a qualified crew). Carry all necessary safety equipment and first aid supplies for any potential accidents (cuts, broken paddle, serious injury, etc.).
Never put the board, and therefore the foil, between you and the wave. The risk of serious impact is extremely high.
Don't rub your board against shells or sharp or abrasive surfaces. It will get punctured. You can then repair it, if you manage to get it back. Be careful.
Never leave your board in the sun, especially an inflatable board, and even less so a black carbon fiber board, which will heat up very quickly.
Do not screw beyond the bottom of the box, otherwise you will damage the inflatable. Use only non-through US brass nuts.
Never let your foil board get tossed around in the waves, especially near the shore. You must protect it from major impacts. A wave that sweeps your board away and rolls it can cause serious damage.
Equipments
SCS System
The composite plate is equipped with dual SCS (Smart Connection System) entry boxes for easy foil installation and adjustment. The double holes correspond to the stance of the holes on your GONG foil's mounting plate. The foil is presented with the brass nuts already mounted on the plate, which slide into the rails without disassembly. Slide the foil in, tighten the four screws, and you're ready to ride.
To simplify foil assembly, our US mounting squares are connected by a carbon fiber rod and included with the board. This saves time during setup and ensures precise adjustments. No more risk of losing the brass nuts: simply leave them screwed onto the plate and slide them into the US rails through the four insertion holes. No need to disassemble anything: just tighten the screws and you're good to go!
Adjusting the foil is also easier and more precise with the adjustment information written on the plate.

Carrying handle
The handle integrated into the carbon plate on the hull significantly improves comfort when launching and carrying the board over short distances. Furthermore, it has no impact on the rigidity and strength of our plate, which remain flawless.

Full deck pad
The premium 5mm thick full pad provides maximum grip and comfort.
Its Ridge Traction grooving, inherited from rigid boards, offers exceptional comfort and superior anti-slip performance, ensuring maximum stability, secure support, and excellent grip.
Very different from the dropstitch coating of the board, you immediately feel if your foot is properly placed on the pad.

Compartmented carrying bag
The HIPE Intruder comes in a super practical and sturdy wheeled carrying bag.
It's generous, allowing you to carry your HIPE and foil.
It is designed for comfortable travel and without excess baggage fees on most airlines!
The backpack straps are very well padded and comfortable. The handles are super sturdy and comfortable.
The large front pocket isolates the front wing and stabilizer to protect them. Integrated compartments in the front panel's reverse side allow for secure and organized storage of your foil components and hardware. Compression straps reduce the bag's volume to a minimum.

Pump, screws and repair kit
The included dual-action rapid inflation pump is super efficient for being the first in the water.
All the screws for the foil top plate are supplied with the board.
A repair kit is also included in case of damage (please note that the kit does not include glue, which you can easily find at your local hardware store (PVC glue)). We also stock the components for your board so we can easily repair it. Everything on an inflatable board can be repaired.

Included equipment:
ICS carbon plate.
Ridge Traction 5mm integral deck pad: non-slip and durable deck covering.
2 non-through SCS brass nuts paired by a carbon fiber rod.
Screws for foil plate: TF M6 T30 screws x4 in 25mm and 30mm with 4 cup washers.
Leash plug at the tail so you never lose your board.
High-pressure inflation valve on the nose for easy deflation and rolling of the board.
Dual action rapid inflation pump with multiple nozzles (compatible with a wing).
