The cold spell that struck Europe mid-December didn’t cool down Sébastien before its daily stand up paddle session. Quite the opposite, he enjoyed a unique moment on his Couine Marie Race!
“Here’s how my 10th December session went down. As usual and despite the freezing temperatures, I decided to go for a SUP session early in the morning on Lacanau’s lake. On the way, the thermometer fluctuated between -4°/-5°… . Once there, temperatures were still negative and I witnessed outstanding wintery landscapes at sunrise!
While the sun was heating the air up, I made the most of this atmosphere with some pictures. The wind was very light, perfect conditions for the Couine Marie Race 14’. I decided to go for a one hour training for an approximately 8 kilometers distance. My gear was suitable and I didn’t suffer from cold. It would have been a shame to dismiss those conditions. I had a great sesh!”
