Responsiveness, comfort, and safety with the new FeelX bar that David now uses with his wave kites. Here is his opinion after several sessions.

 

New lines

“When this new GONG bar came out I replaced mine, which had been overdue for a while… Well, the new lines sure gave a boost to my kites! They hadn’t felt so lively in a while 😉 So, regarding the quality of the lines, I am really satisfied, I would even say surprised by the overall improvement I felt on the water.”

The bar and its safety

“With no regrets, I opted for the 52cm for my 6-9 quiver. The combination works very well with my wave kites. It turns on the spot like it is the kites first day. The bar is well finished and comfortable, there’s nothing sticking out or any embellishments that could break. The safety line passes through the sheath of the depower, essential for me (and unfortunately not the case yet for all brands). Moreover, the depower sheath seems to hold up well. No signs of wear after a few sessions.”

Quick-Release System

“I haven’t tested the release on the water, but it triggers perfectly on land. To reset it, you don’t insert it straight in but apply a slight top-bottom twist, then it clicks in and is ready to go. It can even be done with one hand, and it is very well explained on the GONG website. Happy riding to all!”
