The Micro V3 Atmo race stab designed to maximise VMG, angles, acceleration and average speed over the entire course.
Overview
The Ypra Race Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is the carbon stab developed to make the most of every metre of a race course with maximum efficiency.
Its 9.0 aspect ratio, re-centred surface area and reworked profile significantly widen its operating range. The foil keeps more support in light wind, more glide even when speed drops, and generates less drag when the rider is pushing full speed.
The greater chord through the centre brings more presence, better low-end range and improved stability in starts, lulls, speed build-up phases or changes of pace. The finer tips free up Vmax and reduce unwanted reactions at the extremities.
The profile generates less downforce than the previous generation. It therefore creates less torque against the front wing, making it possible to use more surface area while reducing the aircraft's overall drag. The foil gains longitudinal balance, stability and efficiency on long reaches.
The 60° winglets strongly stabilise the foil in roll and yaw. They keep the aircraft aligned on its trajectory, limit imperceptible side drift under heavy windward heel, and reduce the risk of mast ventilation under extreme loading.
Upwind, the Ypra Race helps maintain very high angles without needlessly losing speed. On downwind angles, it keeps the aircraft perfectly locked in as speed builds. In gybes and tacks, it lets you enter fast, maintain height and build speed back up without any abrupt stall.
The titanium Micro V3 Atmo fuselage further reduces drag and remains compatible with all V3 masts. The stab, however, is exclusively compatible with the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage.
The 3K Texalium Purple clear prepreg carbon construction holds its profile and angles under the extreme loads of racing, with direct response and perfectly consistent behaviour.

ASPECT RATIO 9.0
The high aspect ratio of 9.0 improves the lift-to-drag ratio, glide and speed retention.
It reduces induced drag and increases the efficiency of pumping phases in racing, without making the stab too unstable in manoeuvres.
Higher than on the previous generation, it helps maintain a higher average speed on all points of sail.

CENTRED SURFACE
The race outline recentres the surface area close to the foil axis to keep support highly readable and maintain excellent stability when speed drops.
The greater chord through the centre delivers more low-end range, delays loss of control and makes it easier to build speed again.
This central presence allows a larger surface area to be used without excessively weighing down the tips.

THINNED TIPS
Thinner tips reduce induced drag and limit unwanted reactions at the extremities.
They unlock top speed and keep the foil feeling lighter in roll when the rider is pushing full speed.
The stab therefore keeps a high level of control without becoming heavy or locked-in through changes in angle.

OPTIMISED RACE PROFILE
The profile limits drag across a very wide speed range, improves acceleration and maximises top speed.
Thanks to its glide, it delays stall when speed drops, helping keep the foil active during a start, a lull, speed build-up or a change of pace.
It also generates less downforce than the previous generation, improving longitudinal balance and reducing the aircraft's overall drag.

60° WINGLETS
The 60° winglets deliver strong roll and yaw stability at very high speed.
They keep the foil aligned on its line, limit leeward drift or movement towards the surface when heavily heeled to windward, and reduce the risk of mast ventilation.
The foil feels locked in on rails, essential for pointing very high, bearing away at full speed, and holding clean lines in choppy water.

RACE FUSELAGE
The fuselage is sized to combine longitudinal stability, precision through manoeuvres and speed retention on long reaches.
Its lever arm delivers plenty of drive and guides the foil without muddying the rider's input.
The Micro V3 Atmo SuperLock connection, slimmer than the V3 standard, reduces drag while maintaining a stiff, precise assembly with standard GONG M6 hardware.

Who is it for?
The Ypra Race Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is designed for expert riders and top-level racers looking to maximise VMG, angles, acceleration and average speed.
You need an excellent technical level to unlock its performance, especially the first time it delivers its full potential under your feet: you must not be afraid, because it gets seriously fast with ease.
It is still more forgiving than the previous generation when speed drops. It lifts off easily for riders with solid pumping technique. Its reworked profile and re-centred surface area widen its range of use and limit losses in critical phases.
What for?
In racing, it optimises every section of the course: starts, upwind legs, downwind reaches, gybes and tacks, speed build-up and pumping.
Upwind, its winglets and drive stabilise the aircraft, limit side slip and let you hold very high angles without needlessly losing speed.
On downwind angles, it keeps the foil perfectly aligned as speed builds and lets you push hard without ending up with an unstable or excessively front-footed setup.
In manoeuvres, its forgiving profile helps you stay flying, hold height and accelerate again without a brutal stall.
In light wind, the fuller centre chord provides more support and delays stall. The fine tips then preserve Vmax when the wind or speed increases.
Its efficiency also improves pumping phases between two speed build-ups. The foil holds its glide better and requires less energy to stay in its optimal range.
Avoid it if…
The Ypra Race is not suited to beginners, mellow freeride, or riders looking for a very loose feel in carves.
For slalom and freerace with more manoeuvrability and a more accessible ride, choose the Ypra Slalom.
For freefly, pumping or multisport glide, a Veloce will be more consistent.
For freestyle, surf or broken trajectories, choose a stab specifically designed for those uses.
What size?
The Ypra Race is available in 135, 150 and 165 cm².
The 135 cm² reduces drag to the absolute minimum and unlocks Vmax. It is the most technical choice for expert riders, small front wings and fast conditions.
The 150 cm² offers the best compromise between efficiency, stability, low-end range and control. It is the central size for competition use across a wide range of conditions.
The 165 cm² brings more support, stability and low-end range. It suits large front wings, light or inconsistent conditions, and riders looking for more control.
The right choice depends on the front wing, rider build, level, conditions and the amount of front-foot pressure you are looking for. Always pair a size that is consistent with the front wing size to keep a balanced aircraft.

This stab comes with all the hardware needed to mount it to the fuselage:
- 2 M6 x 20 mm screws for the V3 SuperLock connection.
- Stainless steel hardware designed to handle foil loads and marine use.
- Simple mounting from underneath the stab, with just two screws.

Delivery
What’s the difference between the Ypra Race and the Ypra Slalom?
The Race prioritises VMG, angles, absolute efficiency and long-distance runs. The Slalom is more manoeuvrable, more accessible, more forgiving and more natural through gybes.
Why does it use the Micro V3 Atmo standard?
To significantly reduce fuselage drag, improve acceleration and maintain a higher average speed.
Is the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage compatible with my V3 mast?
Yes. It is compatible with all GONG V3 masts. However, the Race Micro stab does not fit on a standard V3 fuselage.
Why is the surface area more centred?
To maintain more support and stability in slower phases while refining the tips and reducing the profile camber to free up glide and top speed.
What are the 60° winglets for?
They stabilise the foil in roll and yaw, limit side slip under heavy windward heel, and keep the aircraft aligned through extreme lines.
Is it efficient in light wind?
Yes. Its profile stalls later and its centre chord provides more support, which significantly extends its low end. For someone who knows how to pump, take-off is impressive, just like its low end.
Is it suitable for pump foiling?
Yes, in a race competition setting: starts, upwind, and freefly sections. Its efficiency lets you maintain speed between two pumps and build speed back up effectively.
Can it be used for freeride?
Technically yes, but it would make little sense. The Ypra Race is designed for competition and requires an expert level to unlock its full potential.
