DON’T MISS OUT: WORLD OCEANS DAY
Simple actions for cleaner, healthier spots.
On June 8, the United Nations celebrates World Oceans Day. At GONG, we are fortunate to spend every day on and around the ocean. This close connection reminds us how much the health of the ocean directly impacts our sports. Water quality, beach conditions, coastal biodiversity, and changing weather patterns all influence the activities we love.

We can all make a difference.
When leaving a spot, take a few seconds to pick up any litter you come across, even if it is not yours. Avoid single-use packaging whenever possible during your trips. Choose a reusable water bottle instead of disposable plastic bottles, some of which unfortunately end up in rivers and eventually in the ocean.
While riding, respect protected areas, seagrass beds, dunes, and nesting sites. These environments play a vital role in maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems, and their preservation often depends on simple everyday actions.
The ocean gives us unique sensations, extraordinary scenery, and unforgettable memories. In return, we all share the responsibility to reduce our impact and help protect it in our own way.
Because protecting the ocean also means protecting everything that allows us to enjoy it today and for generations to come.
