Overview

Its heavily raked template, combined with a significant surface area, makes it a fin designed to maximize drive, projection, and line-holding in a twin setup. It is clearly aimed at surfers who want to push hard through their turns.

Adding the Mist to a twin setup deeply transforms the board’s behavior. Where a pure twin favors freedom and glide, the Mist introduces a strong central anchor point. The board becomes more stable and more directional, capable of holding long lines.

Its wide base generates constant and powerful drive, while the outline remains fairly full through most of the fin. Only near the tip does it taper, preserving some glide and preventing an overly locked-in feel. This design achieves a strong balance between maximum hold and fluidity.

Template

Very raked drive-oriented template. The rake is very pronounced, favoring long trajectories and projection. It gives strong directional stability and excellent line holding.

Base

The base is wide and powerful, creating a solid support under the back foot. It generates constant drive and efficiently transfers power through turns.

Depth

The depth is significant, reinforcing grip and stability at high speed. It helps secure control in committed conditions.

Surface area

What size?

The choice of trailer size depends on the desired level of control.

A small trailer (2” to 3”) remains subtle. It slightly stabilizes the board without affecting its looseness.
A medium trailer (3” to 4”) offers a good balance between control and glide.
A larger trailer (4” and above) significantly changes the behavior by increasing hold and stability.

The larger the trailer, the more stable and directional the board becomes. The smaller it is, the freer and faster the board feels.
