XXL Pro Wing for lowend
XXL Pro Wing for lowend
Due the new wings get more powerful and faster, does it still make sense to buy an XXL pro wing for more lowend? Now I use the 7m original wing with the pro Xl for the lighter days. Weight 78kg.

Re: XXL Pro Wing for lowend
Hello,
I don't think so. In my opinion, the XL is enough.
Thanks,

So it will be better to go for a 9m superpower instead. Now I'm riding with a MOB, and I'm going to buy a lemon. I am not sure about the size 4'10 or 5'0.
Is there also a difference in low end or is it only an issue of balance? Is it possible to get on the foil in 7-9knots with this combination?

Hello,
To select the right Lemon size, just look at the volume. Your weight +10 is the minimum volume to be easy anytime (85kg + 10 = 95L needed minimum to be confortable).
About wind range, no you can't fly with a wing with 7/9knots. What you can do is start to fly in a gust like 10knots, pumping hard, then it flies even in 6 knots during miles and hours.
With a kite, you have the lines length to accelerate the kite and create fake wind. On a wing, you can pump but it is not as efficient. So the kitefoil works earlier than the wing.
But for example my son can fly with this gear at 7/8knots without gust.
Thanks,

But then with the xxl pro it might be easier to get on the foil in the gusts.

Hello,
Sure, but your max speed will be limited. On a SUP or a surf foil, you are far from the limit. But with the wing you can reach this limit easily even in 10 knots. And the less is you average speed, the less you fly on the low end part of the wind range.
It is all about compromise.

Re: XXL Pro Wing for lowend
OK, that's interesting for me also at 63kg with a 7sqm Wing. I have the Zuma 6'3, 65 cm and XXL. I want to switch to a Zuma 6'0, 100cm and a new foil for low end, since its easier to sell a complete kit. ( I have a Xl foil also, which I haven't tried yet) Should I get the another XXL, a XL Pro or a XXL pro?

Re: XXL Pro Wing for lowend
Can i use the new 40cm stab to gain more speed with the XL und XXL pro wing? ((Weight 78kg) Is there a big difference in lowend?
