Avoid rinsing your equipment with fresh water?

Message par zrylux » jeu. oct. 10, 2019 4:56 pm

Hello. Sorry for my stupid question but I'have seen in the wing user guide the following:

"Avoid rinsing your equipment with fresh water. The Chlorine present in tap water can alter treatments applied
to the surface of the Wing."

Could anyone clarify how to clean the wing after each session? Should we do not rinse it?

Thanks

Hello,

never rince it.
Just remove the sand, roll it carefully. It will be perfect.

If you rince it, you'll remove the coating. You will loose the power and dynamic of your wing.

Thanks,

Thanks! Good to know.

As a suggestion, maybe it should be explained in next future versions of the manual. I always think salt will damage everyting over time

We will finnish each session faster!

salt also protect from mildew, that you can get with tap water if not fully dried.

But drying a sail in the wind will break the coating, and letting it in the sun will let the UV damage the cloth over time.
