Mob or NFA?

Message par tlmk » jeu. oct. 10, 2019 5:58 pm

Hello,
I stopped with sup-surfing for almost 3 years (second child...).
I had a Cloud of 8.6 130 l (2014) with which I enjoyed myself in different conditions. But I was well trained at the time.
Unfortunately I sold the Cloud :(

In the last 2 summers I did some sessions with the counie marie 10.
Now I want to take another rigid wave board.

Weight 77-78 kg, I go to the Mediterranean, north Adriatic, often chop and wind.
Mob or NFA? I like both styles. With the Cloud I was able to find support on my nose and I liked it.
Mob 8.3 140L? NFA 9 120 L?
I would like a comfortable board since I won't have too much time to train.

Thanx

Bye

Both will be good.
NFA for enjoying also noseriding.
Mob if you prefer to have the max acceleration, even in weak waves.

The Mob will be stabler, the NFA paddle a bit faster.

The Mob 7'11" 120 litres will be a tad more stable than your Cloud, but paddle a bit slower. All in all, about the same difficulty.

The Mob 8'3" 140L will be much stabler than your cloud, you will have to put your back foot a bit more aft to turn than on the Cloud but nothing serious. The good option if you look for more comfort than your Cloud.

I don't know if you can find one around you but you can have a bit of both worlds with a Moblog. I failed to find the page in the shop, just a news: https://www.gong-galaxy.com/magazine/ne ... g-135-pro/

I think it can be driven like an oversized Mob while also very capable of nose riding.

Did you had a look at our ORIGIN SUP series :

The Neverstick can also be a good option for endless and stylish nose rides : https://www.gong-galaxy.com/produit/gon ... rigin-2-0/

Hang loose.

Hello,
in the end I found 2° hand Cloud 8.6 130 L from 2015 as the one I had. I think the ideal is to regain confidence. I will evaluate in the future for the Mob 7.11.
I will need to change the fin set. For my 77 Kg a set of Scarfini HX3 quads can go well?
