the fin on this size of board does't influence a lot the noseride ability.

For the best performances, a center fin 115mm classic truster shape is fantastic.

For more cleaner turns but as radical and fast as the 115, you can try the Soulflex 7''. It is amazing.

For slower speed but more automatic turns (you push a little and the fin helps to finish the curve), you can try the 6'' GONG :

For automatic and very powerful turns (that increase the turns a lot, but only if you control it) you can try the Sallas:

This will be helpful for all of us lucky ones with the new NFA8 XTR. As soon as I get it I will start testing different set ups.
I was hoping my board would arrive today but it will come next week, together with the snow and below zero degrees, I guess.

These are my fins: Kai Sallas 6"5, Takayama 7", Kazuma 7"5, FCS Dolphin 8", Longboard House 8"

And then the 115 Gong red US that comes with the board and the Gong Red 9".

PREMIERE SESSION !!!

Plan d'eau abîmé au début puis se calant au fil de la journée avec grosse taille d'homme + .
Planche qui fait de l'oeil a beaucoup de monde sur le spot...
ultra légère à porter même en fin de session...
impossible d'enfourner en late take off, rocker magique !
rame assez rapide pour une 8'
dynamisme bluffant/ à la gamme existante.
Et en 3 mots pour qualifier cette planche :

CONFORT / VITESSE / MANOEUVRABILITE

J'en dirais plus à la prochaine session car celle d'aujourd'hui a été "endeuillé" par une dérive centrale placée trop au milieu et pas assez à l'arrière...pas de tournevis sur le spot donc session un peu sur les oeufs, bien dommage ...mais le potentiel est juste extraordinaire....

And very good surfing technique in the pictures!
I was surfing my Zero9' today, still waiting for the 8' to arrive. I like the Zero very much but I believe the 8' will be a leap forward in many ways. Especially on smaller surf and sharp turns.

@speed85: The maneuverability gets even better with the center fin forward, but it gets less stable and you get increased rowing effect in the take off. But you probably know that.

Magw , in fact, nfa is very very good in tri fins with 41/2 size, but...
my weight is 86 kg and when i surf, i push in my legs with lot of power and today, the middle fin wasn't not enough at the rear of the tail...so , not good for my power....too mosquito

Ok, then I understand. But I think you should try this fin position again, especially in small surf.

top, et oui je confirme qu'en centrale 115mm il faut être proche de la butée arrière du box, sauf dans les petites petites vagues.
