Are you sure you inflated enough?

I was also surprised on my 10' Couine Marie that the needle didn't move while I was inflating and the board seemed inflated to the eye. But by continuing inflating the manometer moved after I felt some good resistance in the pump.

Otherwise the manifold may be broken: the white dial disk may have moved in a shock and block the needle.

Thanks Coolas :D

Yes, I have inflated it by eye as it is the first time. I will try to attach all items and tried again.

Do i have to feel resistance in the air pump? But how many?

I will let you know how it is going.

Thanks for your support.

Quite a lot, much more than with a car or bike tyre pump.

Tout savoir sur la Couine Marie 11'6 SUP. Psi OK, now deflat

Message par MikelSup » sam. oct. 18, 2014 8:25 pm

Yes, I have put more preassure and have gone more than 10 psi (at home).
So it is great.

What about deflafing? Just press the button? How do I do it automatically?
I do not speak french, I tried to
translate french video but do not how to deflate it and fold the gonflable at the
same time, to put it into the bag.

No french at all, so doubts come inevitably.

Could you help me?
Thanks

To deflate, push the knob at the center of the valve, (be prepared for the noise!) and turn right to lock it in place

Then roll beginning by the front.

Once deflated you can release back the knob at the vcenter of the valve.

If you prefer to roll by the rear, just roll first from the front, to deflate, then re-roll from the rear.

Hi,
Iam sorry again for these questions.

Is this the right way to fold the gonflable?

Is there any part we have to take care of?

Thanks for your help.

I think it is better to roll them. Thus you minimise the number of sharp folds.

The only things to avoid are sharp folds and repeated abrasion (board moving around in a car trunk or boat storage)

Hi again!
A few comments and questions after a nice first session with Couine Marie 11'6 SUP (first use of this board). Iam really happy with this board.

It is a big board, wide and thick. Deflated it weights fairly for this size, but with the backpack it is easy to carry.

Inflating arround 10 minutes. I definetely will buy an electric car air pump to at least inflate the first minutes. It is a nice warm up too. :D Ufff

Really, really stable. Amazing in flat water and in open sea. I did not fall down. Fast and wide to paddle confortable and enjoy the surroundings while paddling. I could do 100 km...

With enough volume to carry a big guy like me. No problems at all. The size is perfect for all around, just like experienced gong users recommended me. Great choice!

Few questions.

- I can not fold the board round, it folds sometime square. Is it a worrying issue?

- I can clean the board superficially with water on the beach. I will use a big water bottle on a session basis; and a deeper clean at home on a weekly basis. Is it enough? Do I have to dry it perfect before folding it?

- Iam confused about the deflating bolt. Has it got 2 positions? How do they run? In order not to let the air scape which position is the correcto one? I played with it temporary but I was not sure of the right positions.

Thanks for your help. Plus a few pics. Thanks for your great support all time. You are always available to help and this values a lot.

Hi, what I can say (Patrice correct me if I am wrong)

- The fin box imposes a flat section, so folding folds around this flat section. Its normal.

- If you cannot dry it, I think it is better to leave it salty. Otherwise mildew could develop (salt water prevents mildew)

- Push to make the air leave. A queter turn locks it then in the open position for deflating. For inflating the vent must be in the closed position, the pump action will open it.

Hello :

I played with it temporary but I was not sure of the right positions. Up it is locked, down it let the air go out, down with a quarter turn right : it is locked open.

Let us know.

Thanks,
