Some more waves!
One day with Soul 9'6 and yesterday with the Zero9'. The Zero had thruster fin setup (back fin in the middle box) which makes it really nice in the turns and still good grip for nose rides. I must try to learn the 360 tail slide. I guess that would work fine with three fins, or?
I took a few pictures. The waves were quite clean and we got MANY waves per hour. The wind was around 15-20kts side on. Micke was using his 9'4 Freak:

Re: Sessions Sweden 2013-2014
Great sup waves in Sweden now!
But the rain was pouring so the camera was left in the car today. 1-2 m peeling waves, perfect for the longboards 9'4 Freak and the 9' Zero, which turns well and are great for nose rides. Quad setup on both boards. Managed many hang5 and close to hang10 (20-30cm from the nose)
Found some pictures from this spring but from a windier day.
Me and a friend!! Guess who is who?!
Me on the Cloud 8'6
And again

Re: Sessions Sweden 2013-2014
5 days with wind and waves in a row! Quite unusual if you ask me. I have ridden soooo many waves the last couple of days that I lost count. The Soul and the Zero have been used to their full ability and my muscles to. Quite sore in the back and shoulder muscles, but happy in my mind! Wind between 10-35kts, except for yesterday when we had a dream session.
Very light wind and an old, quite clean windswell for a couple of hours. This is rare, it happens maybe 5 times a year at the most. The temperature was 15 degrees which was the warmest October 28th ever. This added to the unusual experience and I will remember this very special session for a long time. We were sweating in our 5-3 suits and took our hoods off.
An ordinary day in October, last saturday. I gave up after 3 hours in the water and uncountable number of waves.
A very unusual day in October, yesterday. Just before I went out for 2 special hours. The wind was backing off even more but not the waves, ahhh.
Caribou Zero9' in all pictures.
During the session above I decided to get an even more radical longboardSUP, to replace the Zero9'. At least I think so, the Zero is such a perfect board for windy slow waves. Very allround. Anyway, I decided to get a 9'2 Freak XTR!! Wish me luck!

Re: Sessions Sweden 2013-2014
Back to winter temperatures, again. . .
2 degrees Celsius in the air right now and about 10 in the water. 6-5-4 hooded suit in the waves and 5-3 for flat water cruising. 7mm shoes and gloves. This autumn has been unusually warm but also unusually flat and many days with light winds. Time to get the BR out for a coastal trip.
Today I had some really nice company in the cold water. A big grey seal was following me along the coast for 2-3 kilometers! At the closest about 5 meters and never more than 25m away. Despite me NOT giving the seal any fish! I was talking to him/her but got no response other than big curious eyes watching me. Beautiful sunset wow. No waves but an unusually good day!

Re: Sessions Sweden 2013-2014
Wow its windy, windy indeed.
The Nobel price surf is a new classic I hope. Dec 10th. Classic conditions with 1-2,5m waves and 25-35 knots! But the whole last week has been just amazing. Yesterday saw some clean waves and in between lows light winds. No pictures of that day though.
The storm named Alexander passed just over my village so the winds just blew all around me last night with no damages to the house. The eye of the storm, you know. But the back side and remains of Alexander created some very fine conditions today. Still quite windy but sunny. With pictures taken, thank you!
The whole period until Christmas and New Years seems to promise the same windy conditions. My Freak XTR is coming and I am very anxious to try it!
Water and air temp is now around 6 C degrees and decreasing. . . . which is actually quite warm for us at this time of year.
Head high sets, me to the left
Checking the depth
Micke take off on the Freak 9'4
Setting up for a Freak nose ride
Me on the Soul 9'6 in the back ground
Some bigger waves were a bit fast and steep for the Soul.
Nose riding the Soul 9'6, the grip is amazing

I can't complain at all! My Soul is in perfect balance!
Setting up for a drawn out turn on the Soul 9'6. Keep the board low and away from the strong winds.

Soul again
Tricky chop
Long waves - Soul riding

Still no Freak in my garage. To many Christmas packages travelling Europe now. . .
I hope I hope tomorrow. More waves and still above zero degrees. Waves also in the forecast for 23 and 24th December. Then it gets colder unfortunately.

Re: Sessions Sweden 2013-2014
Ahh finally!! Santa came with a new board.
First test today of this new Freak XTR. 9cm less wide than the Zero 9'!
To get some balance or not to get balance, that is the question!?!
Turned out quite well after all. The legs get a good work out from trying to stand up in chop.
Good acceleration, fast and very easy to turn. That is my first impression of the board.
Two Freaks going out to sea.

No wind - no waves, but Christmas!
Today is the traditional Christmas bath where I live. Hundreds of people and 3-4 degrees in the water.
And hundreds of people watching, cosy inside their down winter jackets.
Santa was also there!
Santa sends a hello to every super guy or girl out there!

Re: Sessions Sweden 2013-2015
A perfect start of the new year 2015. Wind, lots of wind and big waves. Took the Zero 9' for a ride in the 25-37+ kts gusty side-on shore winds. The paddle sitting on the knees was a real struggle, ouch. 0,5m per paddle stroke, at the most in the gusts. Standing up was actually quite difficult, very difficult some times. The wind was pushing hard on the body and the chop was plentyful! But the reward when I got a wave was a true relief!
Chaotic!
Finally, a take off. . .
The waves were actually quite long, and even "glassy" on the inside. But the paddle out...a surf lift for sale anyone?
All alone, wonder why?!?
