Windsurf race foil and wing
Windsurf race foil and wing
I have Starboard racefoil and I was was wondering if it could work with 5M wing(pulse) from ~18kt onwards? Anybody tried winging with a windsurf racefoil?

Re: Windsurf race foil and wing
I suppose if your foil is suited for you in size in windsurf it will be too small to use with a wing.
Surf: Lethal foil 4'6
Wing: Droïd 6-5 - Neutra 4, Cruzader Diamond 6'0
Foil: Sirus XXL - XL - L, Curve H XL - L - M

Re: Windsurf race foil and wing
Hello,
you will need high wind and a lot of speed. Super hard to use and more to learn wing.
But the main problem will be the dynamic of your race foil. It is made to be super stable with a looong fuselage. But with a wing, you are looking for fun, turns and tricks. So your foil will not match with this goal.

OK, Thanks for the comments/advise.
Maybe i'm the odd-man out, but I'm looking for speed and stability and good UW/DW angles from all my gear. (sailing background) Jumps and tricks are not my cup of tee.
I'm looking into wings do to their simplicity and fast rigging times and overall small size of the gear. Would gladly let go of the excess stuff that is required to transport windsurfing gear
