GONG GALAXY, All about Surf, SUP, Kite, Foil & Wing

Hi there,

I am about to start kite foiling and Gong foils look pretty decent. However I need some recommendations for choosing the right setup.

I am 72 kg, medium/advanced level (14 years kiting) and I use to alternate twintip and strapless surfboard. My intention is to foil between 10/12 and 20 knots with 9 and 7m (maybe I'll purchase a 10 Strutless in the future).

I was first looking at the Allvator Freeride, but I am concerned that the wing area (712cm2) is small. Most brands offer their freeride wings in the 800cm range. The other option is the Allvator Freewave but maybe its too large (1092cm2).

What would you recommend me?

For a beginner, go for the free wave definitely !

I first bought the allvator 80 kite foil and then changed for a 59 M Pro front wing. This wing is wonderful, it flies with almost no speed so I can try new moves with no fear. Today I did my first switch rides, both sides.
