Hi,
I will start wing foiling with
- Gong Lemon 5'2'' board
- Gong Pulse 6m² wing
What leashes do you recommend to use with this gear?
I saw that there are ankle and knee leashes? For the wing they should attach to the hip?
Would greatly appreciate some guidance.
Thanks,
Claudio
Leashes for wing foiling
Re: Leashes for wing foiling
Hello,
You will get the best confort using a leash belt for the board, it avoids the leash to drag on water in flight and keeps your feet free of anything.
For all wings of 5m2 and less, I advise to use a 5'5 coiled wrist leash, from 6m2 and above, you will need an 8' wrist leash. You may use also a 5'5 wrist leash for the larger sizes but you will loose a bit of confort and you will not be able to reach the tips to flip over the wing. You will have to lift and pull towards the winds to allow you to flip over the wing from the leading edge.
It's also possible to attach the leash for the wing to the belt depending on your preferences, it works.
Thank you.

Thank you!
Re: Leashes for wing foiling
Do you recommend the leash belt for the board with the straight leash or with the coiled leash?
Re: Leashes for wing foiling
Both are great, the coiled one allows the gear to come back slowly to you after a fall while the Perf one keeps everything away, which is more reassuring, so it's up to you.
Thanks.
Thanks.
