Foil problem
Foil problem
I have a problem with the Foil.
My setup consists of Front Wing Allvator Pro Clear Curve M, Allvator Must 90 and Stab 40 cm.
My foil kit has not suffered any accidents and is perfect
My weight is 65Kg.
I have the Zuma 6.3 e the Lemon 4.10
The problem is that even with little wind and therefore with full control of everything, with this configuration i have big problems because as soon as I pick up speed or go down the waves the foil shoots me out of the water and therefore loses lift and freezes with consequent falls. I always have to try to brake even if the speed is very low.
It's totally out of control it even if I crush the bow and I place my front foot far forward on the board
The kit is mounted all back the rear of the board to get more control in flight and to avoid the foil to get too much lifting power.
But the problem remains.
I was thinking if it is possible to mount the kit foil with negative impact so as to counteract the too much upward thrust.
By installing shims under the top plate?
or by intervening on fuselage.
Explain you to me exactly what the Stab is for and if its size and inclination can affect the lift of the hydrofoil and its stability.
I am convinced that my foil is not working well.
How can I check if everything is aligned.
What measures should I take?
I also had the same problem with the front wing rise XL and the long must 60.
For this reason I boughting the Curve L and the Must 90 long thinking that reducing the surface of the front wing would have eliminated the problem.
instead I go a little bit just go faster but the problem is the exact same.
Could it be the fuselage o the stab that are the same for the two configurations that have incidence problems?
What do you suggest

Re: Foil problem
Hello, do you have some photos? Details of the assemblies would be great.
It happened to me once, it was because the fuselage was not completely fit into the mast and had an angle.
Check that all surfaces are in contact before you screw and screw in 2 or 3 times each screw making sure everything is in contact.

Re: Foil problem
I took measurements and leveled.
The foil is mounted well.

Re: Foil problem
Steve may be onto something, having the stab upside down is certainly cause of a lift issue.
The stab paint should be top side. Its tips should be pointing down like the those of the main wing and when mounting it the screw heads should be pointed at you :

Re: Foil problem
I believe it is not possible to mount the stab in reverse

Re: Foil problem
Having ascertained that the foil is mounted correctly my question is:
but has anyone else encountered the same problems as me?
even yesterday at sea as soon as I accelerated or cornered it was not possible to control it and the foil cavitated with consequent braking and falls
