What size Wing for children?

Message par IcSurf » dim. mai 24, 2020 4:03 pm

Hi,

I would like to get a Wing for my children to share and play with on a Sup and then to progress with a foil.

I have a 5m which to big for them as it hits the water on a sup. What size would you advise and what wind will it work in?

1.41m 9 years old 30kgs
1.54m 12 years old 45kgs

Many thanks

Helo,

the best size for kids is the 3m2.
If you take a 2m2, they will need more wing to be efficient and that wind will destroy the water surface and complicate the balance. Forget it.
In addition, a 3m has some power. So it is easy to handle because you feel easily the effect of the wind and your actions.
4m is too big before 10/12YO.

Thanks,
GONG owner and shaper
