GONG FACTORY BERYL SURF 5’5 ALU EPS

INTRODUCTION

A Unique high performance board, Made in France, exceptionally well finished Board.

L’Ours is offering a new shape for the Alu to modernise this board and make it even more efficient in its core programme: everyday waves.

If you’ve only got one shortboard, it’s an Alu!

Unless you live opposite the Pipe, there’s a good chance that your usual conditions will be waves that require a lot of boost and pep. That’s the definition of an Alu.

The front third of the board is still thin, but a few millimetres thicker for comfort when rowing.

The tail has been given a park-style makeover! We have a wide square tail that propels the Alu to mach II from the first stroke.

The shape of the hull has been designed to allow the water to exit easily, making it easier to get onto the rail.

Its ultra-modern look invites you to send airs and 360 pops in all directions! The quad is no longer in fashion, but it’s the Alu’s favourite set-up, and the two rear fins provide a clean, healthy grip to push your moves even in soft waves.

With the rocker and rails of a competition board, a slightly wiser distribution of volume and a clearly maximised surface area between the supports, the Alu is an essential board in your quiver.

SHAPE
  • Rocker: relatively tense for acceleration, close to 99% of a competitive rocker.
  • Rails: clearly identified as comp, hard and sharps at the tail and round at the nose.
  • Volume: in the standards for crazy performance.
  • Outline: wide and with lift, thin nose.
  • Tail: Large square tail.
  • Nose: thin pointed nose to reduce inertia and facilitate radical moves.
  • Deck: flat for control.
  • Bottom: double concave and concave at the tail for maximum grip despite the wide tail.
  • Fins: Trifin or Quad.
