The board:

The Catch FSP 2X have been developed in conjunction with our latest generation Allvator Foils to perform in the widest possible range of Kitefoil.

It’s a compact shape that will be able to approach “race” performance and give the best in the waves, while going through freestyle. What could be better than a Board capable of very high speeds, jumping, surfing and tricks in a 100m x 100m square?!

This new FSP 2X range offers a wide choice of volumes in dimensions under 5′. At the same time, wide at the tips and very short, this “square” outline carries a lot for its size. Never bulky, always sufficient, it offers an incredible feeling of lightness and freedom. For those to whom the word no-nose speaks, we’re all in!

Relatively thick in the middle for early gliding and volume. But also, ultra-thin rails to make the touchdowns totally painless. You can maneuver the chop upwind without any braking. It’s great.

The nose is wide for lift before flying, with a hull worked for a very soft water feel and to avoid falling forward. A wide central flat zone is present all over the hull to improve the glide at low speed. And its pronounced kick tail helps you to get out of the water. The Board is fine-tuned and honed for action.

The foil:

The largest part of the work done on this Foil was intended to leave you with fully stable ensemble at low speeds and which conserves the right aptitudes at higher speeds and proper navigation with stronger winds.

The spec sheet is fully respected, this Foil makes it incredibly easy to get into the sport for beginners, it is reassuring, its behavior precise and easy to anticipate.

It is also an interesting choice for an experienced rider who wants a Foil with the right lift in lower speeds allowing them to work the kite high without having to constantly work in opposition to the Foil.. Its upwind performance is excellent, and her max speed isn’t hindered, and much higher than what most of the other Foils on the market offer which are more focused on lift at low speeds.

It is available today with a 65cm (712 cm2) Wing and a 45cm (272 cm2) Stab, a configuration that permits the exploitation of the slightest breeze as much as the strongest winds. It is completely dismountable and the customization choices are many, cost effective and our spare parts catalog well stacked.

  • Rocker : Flat through the back half for easy take-off in KiteFoil and for fast paddling in SurfFoil, then a kicked up nose to reduce hard touchdowns when Kiting, but also avoids pearling a take-off in SurfFoil.
  • Rails : Very thin with the least volume possible due to the chined/angled hull : Chined hull that prevents harsh touchdowns when KiteFoiling and insures hard angles and a better hand hold when SurfFoiling, which gives you more control of the Board on take-offs.
  • Volume : Quite generous, notably not he larger models which make them even more accessible.
  • Outline : Hard to make it more compact ;-); the lines of the nose have been reworked to make them more harmonious.
  • Tail : Large Diamond Tail for immédiate planing and for control in the chop without losing speed on touchdowns.
  • Nose : Diamond Nose with a V, highly marked, on the bottom which facilitates the management of touchdowns in the chop, even when you’re heavily angled.
  • Deck : Flat.
  • Bottom : multi-chined hull

Innovation is at the core of our Boards

The board:

Technology FSP 2X :

  • 3D Shape on modeling software.
  • Preshape by the numerical control for total reliability.
  • Shape control by traditional templates, finishing of the last mm 100% by hand.
  • 100% Epoxy Board and EPS Blank Foam: solid and lightweight.
  • Deck, hull and rails in PVC Vacuumed Sandwich: incomparable strength and incredible dynamism.
  • Deck: integral PVC/Fiberglass Sandwich composed of a high-density PVC foam core and 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 6oz Biaxial fiberglass, fiberglass reinforcements on sensitive areas.
  • Hull: integral PVC/Fiberglass Sandwich composed of a high-density PVC foam core and 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 6oz Biaxial fiberglass, fiberglass reinforcements on the sensitive areas.
  • Specific Foil reinforcements: high-density PVC block housing the two US Rail Boxes. Three layers of carbon cover the Boxes. Laminated PVC slats connect the reinforcement to the deck for maximum durability.
  • Rails: the PVC Sandwich structure completely covers the rails: increased structural strength, very good shock resistance (paddle strokes).
  • Hot Coat integrated Tinted Resin: nobility of the process, weight reduction and solidity of the finish.
  • Matt custom finish, hand-made, for weight reduction and better glide.

The FSP 2X technology is easily repairable when new in case of a Ding. The PVC foam of the sandwich is waterproof and prevents water from entering on everyday shocks.

This technology offers, at an affordable price, the incomparable strength/lightness ratio of full Vacuum PVC Sandwich.

The foil:

  • Aluminium mast and fuselage.
  • Fiber wing and stab (50% Glass, 50% 3K Carbon).
  • This foil setting weight 3,9kg.

Buying guide

Quelle taille ?

For whom?

From Beginner to Pro, the Catch is for all levels.

Light or strong, ditto : The Catch range offers all the solutions.

What’s it for?

Almost everything you love on a Foil is great on the Catch Foil FSP 2X.

  • If you want to go fast : it loves it.
  • You want to fly early : it has high volumes.
  • You want to jump : it’s got a full PVC sandwich.
  • You want to surf : its shape is perfect.
  • You want to pull tricks : it’s made for it.

You want to start out in Foil : it will be ideal and will accompany you for a long time.

What size?

  • The 4’4 is the ultimate: light or race only.
  • The 4’6 is super versatile and 100% performance.
  • The 4’8 is also versatile, but with more comfort.
  • The 5’0 is super comfortable for beginners, for the strong and for the lightwind.

In all cases, they are very compact shapes with similar reactivity.

What is the ideal Kite?

The Catch Foil FSP 2X is fabulous with a Strutless to perform in winds below 20 knots. This Kite is close to a pedigree Kite in its abilities, but with the safety of the strut. It flies in nothing and has crazy upwind, yet still manageable. Ideal.

But the Catch is also very friendly with the Unik which will bring a lot of maneuverability to link curves for example.

What is the ideal Foil?

The Catch is great with our Allvator Foils.

Freestyle, Freewave and Freeride according to your navigating wishes.

The best is to upgrade this Foil with a 100cm Carbon Monobloc Pro Mast.

And for beginners, a shorter Mast is easier. 65cm for example.

Quiver Partners ?

The Catch Foil FSP 2X has been successfully tested from 4 knots up to 60 knots of wind. That means it has no limits. But the optimum range of the Foil is 6 to 20 knots for most people.

The most common is to complete it with a Kite Surfboard for the 20kts range and more.

Of course, she loves to surf by removing the straps and mounting a Surf Foil. And when we say Surf Foil, we mean real surfing when the waves are hollow. You’ll be spoiled for choice.

What settings?

The wide range of adjustment possibilities of the footstrap positions on the Board and the Foil in the US Rails allow you to accompany beginners in their progression by riding very much in front of the Foil to calm the Board’s behavior at the start and to progressively bring these two points  (Foiler stance and foil center of the pressure zones) closer together to achieve the perfect balance of flight and to perform once you have reached a sufficient technical level.

A beginner will move the straps all the way forward and the Foill all the way back.

And a Pro will be full back for the back strap and in the middle front. While his foil will be between the center and the back third of the boxes.
