The new Zuma 2021 range is smoother, better equipped and offers an even easier size.

The new hull shape with a double concave nose dampens contact with the water pads and guides the board in the axis before take-off. The Zuma is smoother, easier and stiffer.

To reinforce its ease of use, we have added a FCS2 box under the nose to clip a fin to stop the row effect in SUP and the drift in Wing. It’s really easier to hold a trajectory. And you simply remove it without tools.

Last year we added volume in each size and added a 6’0. The goal was to give more in the same length. In 2021 we are adding a 7’3 of 160 litres so that your debut will be smooth, and the bigger riders will not be penalised. This 7’3 is super easy in SUP as well as in Wing.

With a good rowing glide thanks to its tight rocker and round point nose, the Zuma is one of the fastest SUPfoils in rowing. A real asset in mellow waves or for the less expert. You start earlier, and it’s obvious in downwind. Its very wide square tail provides stability during the awaiting phase and explosiveness at the take off: a good point for an easy start.

In flight the maneuverability is great, the relative compactness does wonders but without going to the extremes. Keeping a bit of length brings inertia that will erase all your piloting errors. It’s really a big plus at the beginning because a more reactive board would be a handicap.

It’s the queen of accessible performance in SUP as well as in Wing.



A little bit of length is kept to ease the rowing in SUP, it’s crucial. And in Wing, that’s what will take off early without having to pump like crazy.

The gull wing hull under the nose guides the board and dampens contact with the water by dissipating energy.

Its very pronounced kick tail and the facets on the rails allow you to fly with peace of mind without fear of a big stop at the slightest hit on a chop or in tight curves.

The rails are solid for great lateral stability. This also limits the row effect by creating resistance in the rotation.

The flat deck optimises control and the feel is directly in sync with the action.




Multi-position SUP/Wing straps inserts and US foil mount track box for a multitude of adjustments and to quickly find the ideal position in SUP as well as in Wing.

The front central fin Anti Drift System axes the board as if it was on rails, but without ever hindering the ability to take angle to do curves.

The handle is now on the hull to allow one-handed carrying. You can have the paddle or the Wing in the other hand, just enough time to pass the shore break or to get out of the water. Much more practical. And as we always do things seriously, the handle is placed in a block of hydrophobic PVC foam and covered with fibre.



These boards are equipped with an innovative technology called FSP 2X for the best weight / strength / performance compromise on the market. The gain is significant since on average it is 15% lighter than the FSP 2019.

The addition of a biaxial fibre reinforces the board enormously, so no concession has been made to the exemplary solidity of the FSP, on the contrary.

The PVC forms a 3mm hydrophobic shell over the entire board. This PVC sandwich offers the best dynamism while preserving strength, at an incredible weight.

It is by designing a new finishing technique, as close as possible to our prototypes made in our French factory, that we have succeeded in saving weight. We work with tinted resins to avoid as much as possible the paint that loads the board unnecessarily. Paint integrated into the resin, your board is enhanced with nobility and durability.

The FSP 2X technology is easily repairable when new in case of a Ding. The PVC foam of the sandwich is waterproof and prevents water from entering on everyday shocks. The EPS blanks does not deteriorate because it is really protected from water. And the repairs have a much larger support to lean on and blend in perfectly with the surrounding material.

This technology offers, at an affordable price, the incomparable strength/lightness ratio of full Vacuum PVC Sandwich.

Buying guide

For Whom?

Whether you’re a beginner or wanting something mellow, it’s a Board to keep your mind off things. It’s soft and easy, yet very efficient.

Its role is to make your life easier. So, a pro will probably find it too big and prudent.

In SUPFoil, the first thing you need to know is how to row straight on a classic SUP. The rest is just a matter of method and time in the water to progress.

With a Wing, the Zuma is a very accessible Board for a beginner.

In bigger volumes it is easy, but in smaller sizes you will have to be in good physical condition or be a lighter rider.

For What?

The Zuma is the compact but fluid Board made for less struggling. Everything is done smoothly.

In SUPFoil, it’s ideal for beginners to even very good performances. Its big plus is fast rowing, perfect in DW for example, but also not to have to start too late at every take off.

With a Wing, it’s really the easiest Board in the world, without being an anvil. It’s great for boosting your progress.

What Size?

In SUPfoil, you absolutely must have a positive volume balance. Your weight plus the Board’s weight must be less than the Board’s volume. Don’t hesitate to take some volume and width if you’re not sure of your supports.

You can gain enough volume to float, in the order of your weight + 30 = volume.

Example: I weigh 80kg + 30 = 110L to float. This means that with a 6’3 of 105L I will manage, as long as I don’t start in SUPFoil. And if I want great comfort I will have to switch to the 6’6 of 120L.

With a Wing, you can take it very generously if you’re a beginner. And if you already have a good level, you will have to go for a limit volume following the same rule as in SUPFoil above.

Understanding the GONG range?

We can sum up very simply the concepts of each board in our range:

  • Hipe: the inflatable with 95% of the stiffness. Ideal for beginners and much more!
  • Mob 2taste: three sports in one board: SUP, SUPfoil and Wing.
  • Zuma: the easy rigid board in SUPfoil and Wing, and with good performances.
  • Lance: the compact Zuma, very stable sideways, ideal for Wing.
  • Flint: high performances in SUPfoil, top in Wing because it is simple and efficient in light wind.
  • Kube: pure Wing freestyle board. Minimum length for maximum rotation.
  • Mint: compact without the difficulty with its round nose, but excellent performances.
  • Lemon: maximum reactivity and liveliness, while maintaining lateral stability.
  • Lethal: Absolute radicality among volume boards.


Some will go for even more extreme low volume boards like:

  • Catch Foil: it works as well in Kite as in Wing with a bigger Wing to have power.
  • Lethal Surf Foil: asymmetrical straps and minimum width to dare everything.

Which quiver?

The Zuma is really the easy to do and all-round Foil Board. So, it’s going to take up a very large part of your quiver.

You can of course complete it with a range of stand-up paddleboards without foil. And surfboards for those days when the waves are unsuitable for foil.

Which foil wings?

In general, we recommend the same assembly as for surf foil.


In SUPfoil:

Beginners will have the fastest progression with a L Rise front wing (whatever their size between 50kg and 85kg) and a 45cm Surf stab.

If you have very small waves or you are a large rider, start with an XL Rise front wing and a 45cm Stab Surf.

If you are good, start with an XL Curve front wing, which is faster.


For the experienced ones:

In the Rise range: hyper easy and efficient wings at low speed:

  • M for the 50kg -> 65kg or powerful waves.
  • L for the 65kg -> 75kg.
  • XL for 75kg -> 100kg or mellow waves.
  • XXL for 100kg -> 120kg or very mellow waves.


For the Pros:

In the Curve range: high performance front wings that are faster than the Rise:

  • M for the 50kg -> 65kg or powerful waves.
  • MT for 50kg -> 65kg or powerful waves.
  • L for 65kg -> 75kg.
  • LT for 65kg -> 75kg.
  • XL for 75kg -> 100kg or mellow waves.
  • XLT for 90kg -> 110kg or mellow waves.
  • XXL for 100kg -> 120kg or very mellow waves. To be reserved for pumping.


In Wing:

Beginners will have the fastest progression with a XL front wing (whatever their size between 65kg and 100kg) and a 45cm stab Surf.

If you are not confident, start with an XL Rise front wing.

If you’re good, start with an XL Curve front wing.


For beginners:

In the Rise range: very easy and efficient wings at low speed:

  • M for the 50kg -> 65kg and all wind forces.
  • L for 65kg -> 75kg and all wind forces.
  • XL for 75kg -> 100kg and all wind forces.
  • XXL for 100kg -> 120kg and wind less than 15 knots.


For the experienced:

In the Curve range: high performance wings and 5 knots faster than the Rise:

  • M for the 50kg -> 75kg and wind over 15 knots.
  • MT for 50kg -> 75kg and wind over 12 knots.
  • L for 65kg -> 75kg and wind over 10 knots.
  • LT for 65kg -> 85kg and wind over 15 knots.
  • XL for 75kg -> 100kg and all wind forces, or for light riders in light wind.
  • XLT for 100kg -> 120kg and wind less than 15 knots.


For the Pros:

In the Curve range: high performance wings and 5 knots faster than the Rise:

  • M for the 50kg -> 75kg and wind over 15 knots.
  • MT for the 50kg -> 75kg and wind over 12 knots.
  • L for 65kg -> 75kg and wind over 10 knots.
  • LT for 65kg -> 85kg and wind over 15 knots.
  • XL for 75kg -> 100kg and all wind forces, or for light riders in light wind.
  • XLT for 100kg -> 120kg and wind less than 15 knots.


The size of the front wing conditions the speed/lift ratio. The smaller the front wing, the faster you will go but the more uncomfortable you will be at low speed.


The stabs play a major role. They determine the stability of the foil and help the lift, but at the expense of the maximum speed of the foil.

Surf stabs are slower than Veloce or Kite stabs but are much more buoyant and therefore effective at low speeds.

Which foil mast?

In SUPfoil:

The 65cm aluminium Allvator is perfect. If you are a pro, go for the 70 monobloc: amazing.


In Wing:

Contrary to kitefoil, in Wing, you don’t have much opposition to the wing because it pulls gently. So, you don’t put a lot of upwind angle to the mast. So, mastering a big mast in Wing is not a problem.

And as the boards used are much bigger than in kitesurfing, the inertia is more important. So, your foil is less wacky. Everything is calmer. So, don’t be afraid of a long mast.

Positioning of the foil?

For GONG foils, place the plate between the rear third and the centre of the US rails.

The more you move it forward, the more it will lift the board. The more you move it backwards, the more the nose of the board pearls.

Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend not to let their back foot work, especially when we come from Kitefoil. However, moving the foil back a little, forces more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.

How long is the paddle?

If you want to use the Mob in SUPfoil you will need a paddle between your height -10cm and your height. The easiest and least traumatic for your back is to have a paddle at your height.

A long paddle relieves the physical exertion, especially in the lower back as you have to work yourself up at the take off. The effort is intense.

A short paddle gives more speed and less discomfort in the air. But it damages the back because we tend to row too much behind our feet, which forces on the lumbar vertebrae.

Which leash?

Take a 6′ of 7mm minimum diameter or a 7′ for the 2 biggest boards.

Check its condition before each session and change it every year. It is your lifejacket and the life insurance of the people in front of you.

Strap or Strapless?

Riding strapless is sexy because it makes you feel free. But quite honestly, it’s not the best for performance…

So, it’s up to you to see if sensation prevails over performance. On a Zuma, we’re clearly going to miss 50% of its potential without the straps.

With straps, you’ll have much more control and much less risk of getting the Foil flipping under your feet. In the waves, it’s obvious, you gain a lot with straps. You can recuperate from crazy situations just by pulling up on your feet.

Put your straps in a central position (3rd hole) for the front, and the same goes for the back strap if you still ride with the back.

If you want to be able to get the back foot out for transitions and surfing, put the back strap on the first hole.

Good to know:

1/ The Zuma is an easy board for foil. You can cheat by taking a big volume but keep in mind that in SUPfoil it is a small board that will be complicated in the chop anyway. In Wing it’s totally painless because you have the wing to hold you back.


2/ The foil strongly stabilises a SUP when you are used to it. Do not compare the width of SUP boards without foil with SUP boards with foil. 5cm less are painless with foil, except with a strong back wash.

This extra width is necessary to speed up these very small boards when rowing and not to do a late take off.


3/ A little water on the tail stabilizes the Wing board. Sometimes too much volume is worse than anything. This is very true in compact boards that tumble.

We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.

Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.

The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.

However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.

As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:

  1. All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
  2. The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.

We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.



The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.

We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.

Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.

We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.


Shipping Fees: 

Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.

The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.

For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Tracking of your parcels :

The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.

If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.



We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.

We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.

For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.

Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.


Reception of your Board:

Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.

But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.



You can choose to return your products if:

  • You are not satisfied (14 days right of retraction).
  • You want to change an item.
  • You have refused your package.
