A wing that becomes perfectly neutral in surfing. Lightweight, it makes you forget all about what’s behind you. In your hands, the Neutra is firm but smooth. Just let it float in your back while surfing to make it disappear from your mind. Its lightness is stunning.

The evolution of this V2 is mainly about dynamism. The rotations and the piloting of the wing during maneuvers are even more lively. Lightness and dynamism increase tenfold the potential of the Neutra V2 while surfing and for moves.

Its architecture with a strong tension on the trailing edge boosts its power and its stability when heading upwind, great qualities for lift that make it the queen for jumps. You just need to look at it to understand that this wing is dedicated to high level flights. Its bird profile is magical in the air. It will lift you super high and really far.

Feel like going for rotations? Its curved leading edge seems made for that. It concentrates all its hollow and its power at the level of your hands on the central strut. The tips are super loose and reduced on the V2, the rotations are accelerated! This shape gives you a feeling of lightness and absolute freedom. Shape

The contacts of the ears with the water surface are very smooth. Their very small surface, their 90 ° closure, the reduced diameter of the tip segments and the tapered end of the leading edge guarantee a minimum of contact with water. It’s an easy to pump and less tricky wing, which maximizes your success when exiting tricks.

The architecture of the Neutra is gathered around the central strut for maximum maneuverability but slender in the tips for fluidity. The negative curve on the trailing edge is reduced, to maximize the area over a given wingspan. The curved leading edge adds smoothness as it enters the air. It enjoys almost all angles of attack and therefore works in all directions. It is a wing that pivots easily in the hands. Fabulous in wave riding, for rotations, tricks and especially surfing!

Its moderate hollow is very stable due to the increased tensions on this V2. With the Neutra, we want finesse, so a fairly thin profile, but we also want power and hold in strong winds, so tension on the trailing edge and perfect stability of the hollow.

Seen from the front, the accentuation of the dihedral on the Neutra V2 energizes the profile of the wing, improves its handling and speeds up the rotations. The V of the Neutra V2 remains less pronounced than that of its sisters. It develops more traction in low range and upwind. The de-segmentation of the leading edge in its central portion is a key to this shape. The hollow faces a long, seamless section on the leading edge which makes the Neutra super stiff: ideal in jumps. Feature doubled by our double layer reinforcement in this section.

 

Equipments

  • The handles of the V2 are thin and rigid. The gain in comfort is sensational and is noticeable from the get go. The piloting is even more precise. The V2 is built with 3 handles on the central strut and one on the leading edge.
  • The limited edition Black Edition is constructed with a lightweight, durable, hydrophobic and very resistant triple ripstop fabric. Top of the range without compromise.
  • Two small fiber battens to stabilize the trailing edge when you shock hard. It’s super light and strong.
  • The windows considerably reduce the risk of collision. For us this is fundamental. At the beginning you will surely be too busy trying to control everything and not using them, but very soon it will be the safety ally of your jibes. And our window PVC is super strong, no stress.
  • The new inflation / deflation valves are used directly with the end of the hose. No more incompatible or lost nozzles !
  • The large inflation/deflation valve on the leading edge is doubled on the central strut for immediate deflation and storage. Still in one pump mode, you inflate through the leading edge in seconds. Then open the two large valves to deflate everything instantly.
  • 3 harness fixing points are placed on the central strut of the V2 wings (1 single point on the front and 2 positions to choose from on the rear). Everyone will find their balance for endless sessions with a performant and powerful wing.

Buying guide

For whom?

Whatever your level, the Neutra is accessible. It allows the most technical maneuvers but it is not technical.

For what?

The wave riding program traditionally brings together three aspects: a first tack where you jump, a transition maneuver, surfing on your way back, a transition maneuver, and you start over again and again…

  • If you want to surf : It’s the perfect wing.
  • If you want to jump : It’s the perfect wing.
  • If you want to turn : It’s the perfect wing.

Of course, it is crazy in downwinds thanks to its surfing performance.

What size?

  • The 2m² is dedicated to very strong wind (45 knots), and/or ideal for land (skate).
  • The 3m² is dedicated to strong wind (35 knots), and/or ideal for land (skate).
  • The 4m² is top from 20 to 35 knots. Ultra maneuverable, a must.
  • The 5m² is great from 15nds to 25nds. It’s the key size that is used all the time.
  • The 6m² is great from 15nds to 25nds. This is the key size for heavier people.

Don’t overestimate the power of wings. The ambient blah blah consists in making you believe that you will have fun with a 4m² in 12nds, even 8nds… It is really just BS that aims to make you crack on a cheaper wing and make you believe that this sport is magic.

The reality is that for a winger of 85kg, you need 20 knots with a 5m² to fly at the beginning. After about 15 sessions, you will fly at 15 knots with a 5m². And if you’re athletic, pumping hard can make you take off at 12 knots in 5m² and hold the flight through 8 knots. All this can be learned and requires practice.

Best Quiver choices?

The Neutra works with everything but especially with a compact and light board. Obviously, it will be more in phase with a foil dedicated to performance, in 85cm or 100cm for example.

You can (should) add to this combo a SUP for windless days, and surely a board dedicated to surfing. But if you’re heading towards wing foiling, you may already have these toys in the garage 😉

Which Leash ?

Take a 5′ to 6′ Wing Leash in light wind and a 10′ Leash in strong wind. Preferably a model dedicated to wing foiling and of telephone type. A short leash allows you to recover the wing quickly.

A long leash protects the wing from the foil falling into the canvas by letting it go further.

Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your lifejacket.

Don’t let your wing flap in the wind at the end of the Leash, it is not unbreakable! Also in waves, do not hold your wing by the Leash, it will explode or you will hurt yourself.

Harness or Harness free?

Riding without a harness is sexy because it makes you feel free and it’s stylish. You can move in all directions, it’s really nice.

On the other hand, you have to use smaller wing sizes in order to keep up for a full session. You would have to pump often to take off.

All our wings 2021 have harness line fixing points. So, you have the choice.

So, if on the other hand you like to ride with more power, the use of a harness is almost mandatory if you don’t want to do sessions limited to one hour. In this case, the installation of a harness line is super simple (see our tutorials on the forum). We advise you to use a harness that is as comfy and as light as possible, with a windsurfing type hook.

Lines of 24 to 28cm of distance between the central strut and your harness hook will be perfect. Use a small diameter rope and a thin sheath because such a rope is heavy and rigid, and therefore dangerous in tacks and other tricks.

So, it’s up to you to see if sensation and aesthetics prevail over performance. But it is a safe bet that soon all riders will have harnesses because the evolution will go towards more powerful wings and more performance.

Boom or handles?

We have tried everything, in every conceivable combination. A boom is great but is not at all suitable for a beginner public who needs a light wing.

With a boom, he’ll hit the board and damage it, or damage his shoulders. And it’s as hard to transport as it is to install.

In 2021 we reduced the number of handles to a minimum and saved almost a kilogram per wing.

The choice is therefore four ideally placed handles :

  • One for handling and surfing on the leading edge.
  • One front handle on the central strut.
  • A space to put a harness line between the front and rear handles.
  • A rear handle for low power and tricks on the central strut.
  • A second rear handle for full power on the central strut.

Windows or only canopy?

Wings without windows are cheaper, 200 grams lighter and easier to store.

Wings with windows are safer, stiffer and more responsive.

For beginners, a wing with windows is a must because safety comes before the few grams you could gain. The point is not to admire the landscape: windows will allow you to see if there’s someone or something on the other side of your wing when jibing and therefore prevent a potential collision.

With or without battens?

For wave riding you need light wings. So the Neutra V2 Black Edition does not have full fiber battens. Only  2 small anti flap battens.

  • We sell simply without an intermediary thanks to the internet: direct from shaper to surfer.
  • If we sold this Wing in a surfshop, it would cost 819€ (taking into account traditional margins that we should offer to distributers and stores).

 

Shipping

Availability:

The dates of availability of all our products are written on each product page, in the size and colour of the product concerned.

These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.

We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

Pre-order:

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.

Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.

The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.

However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.

As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:

  1. All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
  2. The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.

We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.

 

Delays:

The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.

We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.

Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.

We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.

 

Shipping Fees: 

Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.

The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.

For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Tracking of your parcels :

If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.

 

Delivery:

We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.

We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.

For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.

Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.

 

Reception of your Board:

Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.

But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

    Inauguration de la Neutra 4m V2 ce midi aussi dans 20 noeuds avant la tempête qui arrive. C’est ma première 4m mais elle m’a paru super rigide aussi par rapport à ma 5m d’une autre marque. J’ai trouvé que les 2 poignées arrière étaient bien placées pour adapter en fonction du besoin, aucun défaut particulier. Donc content de mon achat même si je trouve la qualité des coutures en dessous de ce à quoi j’étais habitué, mais ce n’est pas le même prix non plus.

    En un mot : TONIQUE
    Cette neutra est un ROC, que dis je ..une péninsule….euh….😅
    C est ferme, stable, et ça tire plus fort que la la V1.
    Plage basse excellente puisque j étais en L fluid .
    Le cap est amélioré, mais ça tire plus sur la main avant que la v1…un chouille moins 50/50 en sensations au niveau des poignées, surtout à partir de la plage moyenne mais c est pour titiller, mais moins de confort malgré tout .
    Les poignées sont vraiment sympa, et j ai effectivement l impression d une aile vraiment rigide et très très maniable …effet poignées et spi tendu ? Je pense ..
    Dans les jibes et tacks , l aile est d une légèreté …on sent la diff, très joueuse et aussi très tonique j insiste.
    Un vrai jouet rigide, cette neutra est topissime en surf, elle ne bouge pas, elle ne flappe pas, elle s’oriente facilement d une main à l autre, elle te suit sans sourciller, comme la v1 oui, mais en mieux…. réellement !
    Bref , j ai adoré .
    J ai navigué au harnais en mettant mon bout sur le 1er et dernier cran…pour voir la diff avec celui du milieu.
    Bof, à retester, j ai moins aimer , mais ça permet d abattre plus facilement et inversement , mais le bout est moins stable et statique que lorsque j utilise le 2 ème cran .

    Bonjour à tous,à mon tour pour un feed-back sur cette Neutra V2/limited/5ms.
    vent 15 nds avec bonnes rafales et baisse ponctuelle.poids rider:64 kgs.
    je ne reviens pas sur les différences de structures au repos.
    la première chose qui émerge sur l’eau c’est la tenue de l’aile,compacte et rigide.On se sent beaucoup plus en confiance qu’avec la V1,surtout dans les rafales,un régal.Pratiquement aucun flappement,même dans les surventes.
    Côté maniabilité,ca tourne,tourne😎elle passe tranquille d’un côté à l’autre dans les Jibes,l’aile est top équilibrée .
    Sur cette session,rafales fortes et trous avec baisse du vent.
    Dans le premier cas,à aucun moment j’ai du ouvrir pour dégazer ,ce point m’a vraiment agréablement surpris,et l’aile ne montrait aucun signe de faiblesse dans les déventes ,je gardais une super glisse.

    Bilan:de gros progrès sur cette Neutra V2 dans tous les secteurs ,particulièrement sur la plage haute et les rafales,très important pour les gabarits légers comme moi.
    3 et 4 ms devraient être very sympathiques 😎

    Petit Feedback des NEUTRA V2
    Peu de changements visibles à l’œil entre V1 et V2 mais son comportement change beaucoup.
    Ce que j’ai remarqué :
    – Tension de chute plus importante ( plus gros changement sur l’eau)
    – Extrémité des boudins différente : l’extérieur s’épaissit et le central s’affine
    – Les valves deviennent à 1/4 de tour
    – Poignées plus fines
    Sur l’eau
    Pour le gonflage déjà, de mon côté je préfère le nouveau système, c’est plus rapide.
    Autant les différences à terre sont minimes à l’œil, autant le comportement sur l’eau change beaucoup. La voile est beaucoup plus raide, avec une réactivité bien meilleure.
    Samedi, le vent était léger (10/15 nœuds) et j’ai réussi sans problème à décoller en 5m là où ça aurait été vraiment difficile avant 🥳.
    Au pumping, on a la sensation que la voile ne bouge pas et l’énergie est transférée à la planche, rendant les mouvements beaucoup plus efficaces. Dans le light je suis conquis, à tel point que je vais me séparer de ma 6m. Reste à voir la plage haute qui doit forcément en pâtir 😬.
    C’est chose faite le dimanche et le Lundi avec un vent beaucoup plus consistent (20/25 nœuds et quelques claques à 30). 💨
    Même sentiment de rigidité en 4m mais sans que ce soit désagréable, la voile se tient bien et super neutralité au surf (en même temps avec son nom il y a intérêt 😜). On a quand même plus de main arrière ce qui en fait une voile un peu plus physique mais ça reste correct. Content de la plage haute également, la voile se maitrise dans les rafales et reste saine, donc pas de soucis de ce côté.
    J’ai moins aimé les poignées plus fines par contre, peut-être une habitude à prendre, certains préfèrent. 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Enfin, les attaches de harnais deviennent un peu décalées car ayant plus de mains arrière, l’attache arrière se retrouve trop à l’avant et j’ai préféré l’attacher directement sur la basse de la poignée pour que ce soit plus équilibré.
    Globalement, hyper content de cette V2 qui a gardé la très bonne base de la V1 et qui a su encore l’améliorer. Etant (ancien) planchiste, j’ai beaucoup aimé sa rigidité qui fait énormément gagner en plage basse et donne un feeling plus direct. Si j’exagérais, je dirais qu’en 5 j’ai eu le feeling de l’ancienne 4 avec la puissance de la 6. 😁

    A défaut de naviguer avec cette neutra V2 5m, par faute de vent .. gonflage sur parking pour la montrer aux copains, et test de la poignée de surf ..
    Franchement….y a pas photo avec la neutra V1 ( pourtant déjà géniale) en position neutre , et avec un chouille d air, elle paraît plus légère dans cette position et ne demande qu à y rester…
    La wing est ferme et super stable …un bloc…elle reste statique dans pas d air ..ça risque d être topissime dans les vagues …

    Condition de test assez difficile, vent faible du coup 4 m neutra V2, mat alu V2 85, fluid xl et stab fast 45.
    Alors déjà ce sentiment de légèreté se fait ressentir une fois la Wing dans les mains, les poignée sont top j adore, une chute très tendu tout bon pour le momment.
    2 coups de pompe ça ne flappe même pas, c rigide , reactif, super tonique j adore😍
    En navigation du tout bon c très raide ça ne se déforme pas, pas un bruit de flappement …
    Jibe, tack un bonheur la wing se fait oublier, et en surf la poignée et vraiment bien placer, équilibrage parfait, frachement good job la team je suis fan a 100 pourcent de cette V2

    On a beaucoup de reports sur les neutra V2 en ce moment pas mal axés sur son programme de prédilection… neutralité et surf…
    Alors on change de registre et moi je vois en parle en freestyle ! Et oui …
    Sur la gamme 2021 j’avais choisi les droid pour leur compacité, après avoir testé une neutra V1 en 4m au moment de renouveller mes ailes je me suis demandé si finalement les neutra ne me correspondraient pas aussi bien voyant ce que Malo envoie avec !
    Décision prise de prendre des Neutra V2 en 4m et 5m … et bien m’en a pris ! Premier test de la 5m prise en main dimanche dernier , je ne reviens pas sur tout ce qui a été dit en long large et travers par les autres sur sa légèreté, raideur et performances en freeride et free-fly … moi je vous cause de sauts et rotations ! Et ben c’est le bonheur… en quelques mots j’arrive dans les appels de sauts avec plus de vitesse dans moins de vent et donc là où ça change tout c’est qu’on prend une bien meilleure amplitude tout en gardant de la marge sur les passages à contre … sauts plus engagés, avec plus d’amplitude et une reprise en reception phénoménale… conséquence directe les backloops rentrent mieux et surtout avec une grosse vitesse qui permet de repartir direct en vol après la réception…

    Tout d’abord dès la première prise en main, ce qui saute aux yeux ce son les nouvelles poignées. L’ergonomie est bien meilleure, plus fine, elle se cale toute seule dans le creux de la main et leur rigidité offre un contrôle parfait sur la wing!

    Une fois dans l’eau, on retrouve ce qui fait qu’on aime tant la Neutra, c’est hyper efficace, c’est dynamique, elle sait tout faire! Cette V2 m’as paru gagner un peu en fond de puissance et en rigidité, mais le gros point fort, c’est les rotations qui sont bien plus fluides, que ce soit dans les manœuvres ou dans les sauts, pas de doute ça tourne mieux!

    Le pilotage général de l’aile m’a semblé un peu plus fin et demande sûrement un peu plus d’expérience pour être correctement exploité, mais je pense qu’il permettra d’aller plus loin que la version précédente (même si ce n’est surement pas les performances de l’aile qui m’empêchent de faire des backflips). ;P

    Pour moi cette Neutra V2 est une belle évolution de la V1, plus manœuvrante et plus agréable en main, elle est toujours aussi polyvalente.

Warning

You must read the detailed user manual completely before using your Wing for the first time.

Be sure to have a full understanding of it. Wings can be dangerous depending on their size and the strength of the wind. You have to check the wind range of your wing so that it corresponds with conditions and your actual skill level.

For the first few sessions, never use your new Wing in its high wind range. Use your Wing in a secure environment. Take the necessary time to learn how to handle the equipment under optimum safety conditions. Never underestimate the traction power of your Wing. Even a beginner’s Wing can develop a pulling force of several hundred kilos depending on its size and the strength of the wind. Do not overestimate your abilities. Misuse can cause serious injury or death to the practitioner or others. Do not use your Wing at sea in offshore winds. Use your Wing equipped with a leash. Be careful to avoid any collision. Be extremely careful if you sail with your Wing and a board equipped with a foil. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for damage or damage caused by improper use of the Wing or carelessness of the user.

Dry your wing ?

Unless you end your session with a long ride in the sun and land on a pontoon, it’s rather rare to get out of the water with a completely dry wing. 😉 Note that there is no need to dry your wing if it is to be used regularly in salt water, as the salt protects the materials from mold.

If, however, for transport or storage reasons you want to dry them, you must absolutely avoid hanging the deflated wing by the handle on the leading edge. It’s however very practical but it is the best way to obtain a hernia on the central strut at the junction with the leading edge following the collapse of the bladder inside. The bladders are movable in the strut and the leading edge. So if you hang it up deflated to dry, the bladder can slip, or even crumple, in the strut sleeve.

So ideally, you dry your inflated wing in the shade, and at worst flat or at least with just the inflated central strut.

How to inflate your wing?

Inflating your wing while it is still rolled can cause movements and twists of the bladder which will have the effect of deforming the inflated wing or causing hernias. It is therefore essential to fully unfold your wing before inflating it using the inflation valve on the leading edge.

Generalities about the Wing

The Wing is a machine with an inflatable structure directly in the rider’s hands. Handgrips are used to control its flight and the power delivered.

The Wing’s number one advantage is the absence of a mast rig. This allows you to switch from a horizontal windsurf-type traction to a vertical kite-type traction. The best of both worlds can be combined in total freedom.

Much less complicated than a kite and much lighter than a windsurfing sail, the Wing lightens you to the zenith and accelerates in front of you.

The Wing combines the advantages and moves of these two sports, and it gives even more with all the possibilities linked to neutrality in surfing, and the rotations under the Wing and other offsets… the potential of moves is endless.

Ideal when combined with a Foil, it is much more reassuring than a kite and much more manoeuvrable than a windsurf sail.

The Wing is by far the simplest support to learn how to Foil, far ahead of all other sports. A great way to learn to Foil afterwards in other sports.

It is the perfect machine:

  • Compact, it fits in a car and is easy to fly.
  • Lightweight, you can ride your Quiver without having a hard time.
  • You can go in the water anywhere, except in the shorebreak.
  • Very little sensitive to the quality of the wind. If it falls we return quietly.
  • A potential in surfing and tricks almost infinite without a mast rig.
  • High performance for a minimum of constraints.
  • The attraction of novelty, it’s good to change sometimes.
  • No major danger.
  • Smile, smile and smile.

With its glide, you don’t have to overcast to have fun. In gusts of wind, its structure naturally absorbs excess power. The pros will be able to put on a harness to size up and boost performance. But amateurs will also find real relief in the harness. Contrary to popular belief, it’s the Wing that carries your arms, not the other way around. But after two hours without a harness, you have to admit that fatigue is there. Everyone is free to hold on with bare hands or to relieve themselves.

Ideal with a Foil, it requires more air than a kite which will always have the advantage of pulling a lot from 4/5 knots. The Wing will require between 10 and 15 knots to express itself on a Foil and will remain super easy even in 35 knots, even 50 knots, where the kite often rhymes with big risks.

 

It is great with a pure Wing Board, but also with multiple supports such as :

  • SUPfoil
  • Surfoil
  • Stand Up Paddle “SUP” (rigid or inflatable)
  • Skate
  • Rollerblade
  • Mountain board
  • Anything that slides on snow
  • Etc.

The advantages of the Wing are clearly identified: simplicity, compactness and lightness provide unequalled freedom of movement and ease of use. The Wing is ready to fly in 1min chrono: no line to unroll, just two flexible slats to insert in their sheath, a few strokes and off you go.

The technology used to make the Wings is very similar to that of our kitesurfing wings, but much stronger. Multiple reinforcements are present on the stress zones according to the different uses.

The shape of the Wing is “self-stabilizing”. Don’t imagine orienting it by the force of your wrists like on a boom: it doesn’t work like that. You put your back hand down: the Wing will lay flat above your head. You put it up and the Wing goes vertical. Easy! This is called umbrella or screen piloting. It is often said that the beginnings of the Wing are more like pole dancing than windsurfing. Indeed, you almost have to have the back hand vertically under the front hand when you are not flying, to keep the Wing as an umbrella. This way you keep it away from the water, and you use its traction with the same angle as a kite to lighten up. So, think pole dance ;-))))))
