The shape of the HIPE PRO is designed for high performance wing foiling.
Its rocker is moderate at the nose. It is enough to make the landings of tricks, but not too much to keep gliding on the water before takeoff. At the tail we are flat to maximize acceleration before takeoff.
The rails are round, as on all inflatables. But we used this natural shape to help the water slide off the board. It does not stick to the rails, and this is even more true at the tail.
We designed the ICS Pro plate with a round tail to match the shape of the HIPE Pro. The tail is so fluid that it looks like a rigid Lethal Pro. It’s both elegant and efficient so as not to draw water before takeoff. We really fly earlier and with less effort.

The HIPE PRO comes with an ICS Pro carbon plate to attach the foil.
This new ICS Pro carbon plate is equipped with double entry boxes to install and adjust the foil easily. The double holes correspond to the distance of the holes of the plate. We present the foil with the nuts already mounted on the plate that we slide into the rails without dismantling them, we slide the foil, we tighten the 4 screws and off we go.
Adjusting the foil is also easier and more precise with the adjustment information listed on the ICS Pro plate.
The handle in the carbon plate placed on the hull is a real gain in comfort for launching and carrying over short distances. And it has no impact on the rigidity and resistance of our plate which are flawless.
For more performance when sailing and comfort, the HIPE PRO is fitted with a double V footstrap in front. It allows you to recenter your stance on the board because the insert of the two straps is in the middle of the board, and thus gain in performance (rail to rail, frontside surfing, sailing toe side or backwind) and in comfort. It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a huge plus in sailing to no longer have to compensate non-stop for excessive heel pressure due to a front strap that is too muh off-center. You ride without having to press hard on your tiptoes, just naturally and relaxed. And in surfs or downwinds, it’s a crazy difference!
Also equipped with a rear footstrap, the HIPE PRO offers all the essentials to progress in freestyle. Jumps and full speed tacks are yours.
The large diameter leash ring is the strongest on the market. It is essential for use in wing foiling or SUP foiling.
The 5 mm thick 3D Double Diamond Pad is specially designed to be comfortable and efficient. Coupled with the footstraps, the grip is flawless and allows long sessions without tiring or slipping.
The supplied double action inflation pump is so rapid and efficient you’ll be the first one in the water.
The screw kit for the straps and the foil is supplied with the board.
In order to facilitate the assembly of the foil, our new US fixing nuts are connected by a carbon fiber rod and delivered with the board. In the big sizes, it is easy, but if you take a volume close to your weight, kneeling in the chop with thin tips will not be as easy as on a longer board or on a classic HIPE with its wide and comfortable tail.
So you have to be in good physical condition to be lively and have enough energy. And/or take a generous volume.

The HIPE PRO is a high performance wing board. But by playing on the volumes, you can adapt it to your needs:
Beginner
You should have enough volume to float, around your weight + 40 = volume.
Comfort
Have enough volume to float, around your weight + 15 = volume.
Sporty
You can also subliter it because the HIPE PRO is wide enough to be stable. So if you have a great level and want maximum responsiveness, you can switch to negative volumes.
Until your weight = volume you can go on your knees by leaning on the wing on the water.
A small table that sums it all up :
In SUP foiling, you absolutely must have a positive volume balance. Your weight plus the weight of the board should be less than the volume of the board. Do not hesitate to take a little volume and width if you are not yet comfortable on your stance. And beware of the row effect which will make you row in a spinning top if you don’t have a good level in SUP.
You should have enough volume to float, around your weight + 30 = volume.
The HIPE PRO is truly the performance inflatable foil board. So it will take a very large place in your sessions and a very small one in your quiver.
You can of course complete it with a range of Stand Up Paddleboards without foil. And surfboards for days when the waves are unsuitable for foiling.

The size of the front wing determines the speed / lift ratio. The smaller the front wing, the faster you will go but the more uncomfortable you’ll be at low speeds.
The stabs have a major role. They determine the stability of the foil and help with its lift, but to the detriment of the maximum speed of the foil. Thus, thick stabs are slower than thin stabs, but are much more load-bearing, and therefore calm and effective at low speed. A larger stab wingspan avoids loss of control but decreases handling.
Beginners will have the fastest progression with an XL front wing (regardless of their size between 50kg and 90kg) and a 45cm Rise Stab. Above 90kg, an XXL front wing is a plus for early take-off.
If you’re shy, start with an Rise Front Wing.
If you’re good at it, start with an X-Over Front Wing.
For the experienced

For the pros
In the Fluid and Veloce range: high performance wings
During your first sessions, you can reassure yourself with a short mast (65cm). Falls on the first flights will be less impressive. But apart from when launching, you will have everything to gain with a long mast (85cm and more).
More length = more headroom = easier = more efficient.
Unlike for kite foiling, in wing there is little opposition to the front wing because it pulls less. So we put less wind angle on the mast. So mastering a large mast with a wing is no problem. And since the boards used are much bigger than for kite foiling, the inertia is greater. So your foil is less crazy. Everything is calmer. So don’t be afraid of a long mast.
In choppy water, in transitions, in sluggish waters, a large mast will be ten times more pleasant. It will save you from touchdowns and give you the necessary height margin in all your actions.
Of course the must is the V2 carbon mast in 85cm or 100cm. Absolutely magical. But the 85cm or 95cm aluminum are great too.
We recommend 85cm in freestyle and surf, and longer in freeride and race for comfort.
The 65cm aluminum mast is perfect. If you are a pro, switch to the monobloc 70cm: masterful.
For downwinds you may prefer the Alu 75cm option to give you a bit of headroom.
For GONG foils, place the plate in the center of the US rail box. The further you move it forward, the more it raises the board.
The further you move it backwards, the more the nose of the board pearls.
Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend not to let the back foot work enough, especially when we come from kite foiling. However, moving the foil back a little, forces more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces efforts.
If you want to use the HIPE in SUP foiling, you will need a paddle between your actual height and +10cm.
Take a 6′ of 7mm minimum diameter.
Check its condition before each session and change it every year. It’s your life jacket.
When using the HIPE with a wing
Riding strapless is sexy because it makes you feel free. But quite honestly, it’s not the best for performance…
So, it’s up to you to see if sensation prevails over performance. On a HIPE, we’re clearly going to miss a big part of its potential without straps.
With straps, you’ll have much more control and much less risk of the foil flipping over under your feet. When you are getting into wing foiling, the V front straps are an essential benchmark to position your feet properly. You save a lot of time.
In the waves, it’s obvious, you gain a lot with straps, including the rear strap. You can recover from crazy situations just by pulling up on your feet. And what to say in the tricks: the catalog is multiplied tenfold with the straps. All jumps are possible, and the cushioning of the inflatable is magic for the knees ?
Take your first steps with just the V front straps. You can mount the rear strap because it will make a good mark to wedge your foot just in front, and a good grip. But don’t put it on at first. Once you are comfortable in flight, remember to move the foil back 2cm to get used to the rear strap.
Never leave your board in the sun, even less an inflatable board, and even less a black carbon plate that will heat up very quickly. You might see it peeling off!!!
Don’t screw further than the bottom of the box, otherwise you’ll get into the skin of the inflatable. We deliver US squares with no opening, but be careful.
Never let your foil board get mistreated in the waves, especially close to the shore. You must protect it from major forces. A wave that carries your board away and rolls it away can do a lot of damages.

J’ai commandé et reçu la Hipe Pro en 5.8.
Première sortie dans du 8/12kts.
Je ne regrette pas ce choix de volume pour les petites conditions, j’ai gagné en plage basse c’est certain.
J’avais peur du « pro »dans la Hipe Pro. Je l’a trouve très accessible à volume égale par rapport à ma Hipe 5.5 V1. Aucune difficulté sur l’équilibre sur un plan d’eau plat, à voir qd ce sera plus agité.
J’ai eu la chance de trouver directement le sweet spot pour placement de mon mat. Du coup en l’air j’ai pu pomper le foil dans les molles et il y a clairement une meilleure réactivité. Je trouve mes actions plus directs, moins épuisantes… C’est magique!!!
Hate de la découvrir dans différentes conditions!

It doesn’t come much better than today. Out wingfoiling with two friends in a beautiful cross-off, wind coming and going… Just enough swell in the open to play with through the wind holes. HIPE Pro feeling like I have a tiny rigid under my feet, and Fluid foil flying fast with big beautiful carves! And a Plus 5m with far more launching power than any 5m has a right to offer!

Hello les Gongistadors de l’estran. Un retour très positif de la HIPE pro en 4.6. J’ai décidé de m’orienter vers cette board pour le voyage. Les avantages en terme de sérénité face aux chocs des transports et le gain de place dans le board bag méritent pleinement d’être pris en compte. Concernant la nav, je pense que je perds peut-être 1 à 2 nœuds en plage basse ou alors il faut que je me “donne” un peu plus pour décoller. Sinon en vol, c’est franchement efficace et mes sessions en gonflable n’ont rien à envier à ma board rigide. Bref, si vous vous déplacez pas mal avec votre matos et que vous hésitiez, n’hésitez plus…

GONGiste convaincu, SUP gonflable, MOB et maintenant, après mon apprentissage et mes premiers vols sur la HIPE 6’0 qui a été top pour apprendre, je suis passé sur la HIPE PRO 5’6 après avoir longuement hésité avec la 5’3. Au final, la mer du Nord étant souvent agitée, aucun regret, car niveau stabilité pour mes 92kg, c’est parfait et très confortable. L’adaptation est instantanée et même si avec mes mots de novice, je ne peux retranscrire tous les ressentis, c’est juste un autre monde cette PRO. Rigide et rapide au décollage, confortable et surtout toujours sécurisante, je l’adore…
J’avoue avoir une LEMON qui attend encore de sortir tellement je ne trouve pas de raisons de switcher avec la PRO (pour le moment et à mon niveau, mais ça viendra et je ne voulais pas risquer de devoir l’attendre ?).
Accompagnée quasi exclusivement des Neutras, on se régale en Belgique, en espérant pouvoir sortir avec la 4,5 2023 ce week-end ?

Expérience : Windsurf 5/6 ans ado, Wing depuis 07/2021, un peu de skate/snow.
Niveau : 90% jibes, sauts simples ok, Tack/racing jibe/air jibe/flaka/surf in progress

1ère impression : Ca gliiiiiisse !
Quel plaisir de retrouver Archimède et sa poussée qui aident tellement à arracher la board de l’eau ou à la faire décoller tranquillou grâce à sa glisse.
Stop au blabla sur le gonflable qui glisse pas etc !!!
Ensuite, c’est stable ! Pointer le nez de la board vers les vagues, monter dessus et se mettre debout dans des conditions clapoteuses est devenu facile !
Sessions : 15/25kt clapoteux
Merci la longueur et le gain de stabilité longitudinale qui aide à se remettre en selle !
En comparaison avec la Kube et son “effet bouchon”, il n’y a pas photo !
Même si la stabilité latérale est moindre, il suffit de pointer le nez de la board vers les vagues et c’est reparti vitesse grand V !
Reprendre le vol rapido => Limiter la perte d’énergie => Retour au fun plus rapidement.
Question réactivité : Rien à redire face aux rigides ! Pas de sujet comme dirait Thibaut. Tout n’est que question de sensation à ce niveau. Certains diront qu’ils ne “sentent” pas la planche, perso je la trouve très bien.
Ca répond à la moindre sollicitation des orteils. Vous avez dit surf ?!
Autres points :
1/Le strap arrière est plus difficile à trouver sans regarder que sur une board à positions multiples. Était-ce une impression, est-il vraiment plus reculé …. D’autres le diront mais c’est mon impression, ayant une taille standard ça m’a dérangé.
2/Le boitier semble placé différemment ou plus petit que sur une rigide ce qui change les réglages. Pareil : à confirmer.
3/La réception des sauts me semblait plus difficile, peut-être dû à un manque de pratique ou à une mauvaise technique. Mais je trouvais que le nez glissait au moment du contact avec l’eau. J’avoue que je n’osais pas y aller comme un bourrin non plus puisqu’il s’agissait d’un prêt.
Conclusions :
La Hipe pro est géniale ! Bonne à tout faire, du débutant sportif au rider chevronné, du sédentaire au nomade ! 2/3 améliorations et elle sera forcément élu BEST SELLER de sa gamme !

Normalement je n’aurais même pas eu trop envie d’essayer ce volume étant adepte du plus c’est petit mieux c’est (je parle des boards) , mais force est de constater qu’en condition marginale et sauf devoir me mettre au régime sur la 4.6 je coule ce qui ne pose en soit pas tant de problème mais m’oblige à attendre la rafale assis et donc parfois rater le décollage si la rafale est trop courte. En 4.8 je suis stable debout et donc plus efficace pour prendre le moindre coup de vent.
Au décollage zéro différence avec la 4.6 , même qualité de glisse , un volume généreux devant qui permet d’avoir un super rebond (technique du bouchon) en plus de la glisse pour decoller au plus vite … c’est bien utile avec mes nouvelles HA.
Autre aspect qui m’intéressait c’est sa stabilité en reception car en freestyle sur les flakas et 360 handle pass je me boitais souvent après la réception avec un volume trop limite pour être confort … du coup en 4.8 plus de problème je pose 2 fois plus !
En transitions et cruising j’ai trouvé peu d’écart entre les 2 , ça se joue vraiment à pas grand chose la 4.8 n’est absolument pas handicapante…
En résumé beaucoup d’avantages à cette 4.8 pour mon gabarit , même si des que ça souffle un peu fort c’est 4.6 direct …

Première session d’une petite heure avec la Hipe Pro 5’1, dans un vent très limite (8-12nds, quelques rafales à 15).
Houlaaa, super chaud la stabilité à genoux comparée à la Zuma 6’3 où je commençais directement le pied avant dans le strap 😆
Ca bouge dans tous les sens, en roulis comme en tangage, ce que je ne connaissais quasi pas en Zuma qui n’a pourtant que 10l de plus seulement (105l vs 95l).
Pour ceux qui en doutent encore, c’est clairement pas une planche pour débuter malgré ses 95l.
Quand on se met debout, c’est beaucoup mieux. Mais elle est quand même vachement plus volage et moins sur des rails quand on pompe et qu’on cherche à prendre de la vitesse pour décoller. Récupérer l’équilibre après un décollage avorté est bien sportif également !
Les quelques fois où j’ai volé, j’étais dans un autre monde. Je pensais pas que l’inertie et la longueur de la planche pourraient avoir une telle influence sur les sensations. J’avais l’impression d’avoir un autre foil sous les pieds que mon Curve L-T.
Pas réussi à boucler un jibe dans ces conditions limites, l’équilibre étant plus précaire.
Les 10 premières minutes ont été très frustrantes, la marche est vraiment grande après une Zuma 6’3. L’impression de redevenir grand débutant.
Ca s’améliorait au fur et à mesure et j’ai hâte maintenant d’y retourner avec plus de vent pour réussir à voler un peu plus et mieux appréhender le comportement de la planche.

Premier test de la Hipe Pro 4’8 ?
Pour le contexte : 78kg en sortie de vacances ? apprentissage sur hipe 5’3 puis passage sur la 4’11. En attendant la dispo de la Pro 4’8 j’étais en Pro 5’1.
Très sympa mais presque “trop confort” avec les 25l de plus que la 4’11.
Là, vu la taille, forcément ca l’est beaucoup moins … surtout que cela faisait pas mal de temps que l’on n’avait pas eu de la houle et des vagues !
Rodéo ? le temps de retrouver le bon placement et l’habitude de rester bien bas.
Mais au final après quelques ploufs avant même de poser un genou, dès qu’il y a un peu de traction dans la wing, le passage debout se fait bien.
Je retrouve la même sensation qu’avec la 4’11 : plus facile à pomper car plus courte, j’arrive mieux à utiliser l’effet bouchon de la board. Donc ce que je perds en glisse je le regagne en capacité de pumping.
Et une fois en l’air … que du bonheur ! ? c’est facile, ca tourne, c’est stable et les touchettes ne sont pas plus dérangeantes qu’en 5’1.
Après c’est clairement plus physique qu’avec la 5’1 surtout si comme moi les changements de pieds ne sont pas totalement maîtrisés ?.

J’ai testé la Hipe pro en 95L pour 85kg – je ride en Lethal 95 et Lemon 95 – la différence est vraiment minime. Elle est vraiment très bien surtout pour le prix et le faible encombrement.

Petite présentation pour commencer. 1,78 m, 78 kg ancien possesseur d’une comet 5’4 de 90 litres, commençant à tenter des sauts.
Je décide pour des questions pratiques et aussi pour éviter d’exploser ma board de me tourner vers le gonflable gonflé à bloc par les vidéos de l’ours et de son prodige de fils et convaincu aussi par la capacité du gonflable et de la plaque carbone à faire des merveilles.
J’ai déjà une couine Marie 8’5 qui a quelques années et qui n’a pas bougé donc assez confiant sur la solidité du nouveau jouet.
Je décide donc d’arrêter mon choix sur la 5’1. Après quelques conseils l’équipe gong me recommande de prendre la 5’3. Va pour la 5’3 alors.
En détail. Déjà quand on ouvre le carton, c’est beau, le sac est large et permettra de loger le foil et les ailes pour un prochain voyage. Toute la visserie est présente.
Petit gonflage à 15 PSI (ça suffit amplement) et je monte le foil. D’abord sceptique sur la longueur des vis pour monter mon foil d’une marque concurrente mais finalement rien ne bouge. Le nouveau système est hyper pratique, reste plus qu’à trouver la même chose pour monter son foil plus rapidement ?
Sur l’eau, c’est magique, c’est rigide la planche ne bouge pas. Nous n’avons pas l’impression d’être sur une gonflable, ça décolle vite sûrement grâce au gonflable justement. Pas l’impression d’être sur une planche de 100 litres bien au contraire. La planche est vive, réactive. Les straps centrés sont confortables et le pad au top.
A l’arrêt, un peu plus chaud de tenir en équilibre mais ça le fait bien. Il faut retrouver ses marques sur une planche un peu plus étroite et ronde que ma comet avec un petit effet tonneau.
Bref, vous l’avez compris je suis emballé par ma planche.
Bravo la team et vivement la prochaine session.

Hello, trois nav avec la hipe pro 5.1 à 75kg. Avant, j’étais sur la Zuma 6.0. C’est plus exigeant sur le placement des pieds mais ça flotte aussi bien sur le flat. En l’air que du bonheur avec peu de vent mais il faut centré ses pieds sur les Switch.Top et rapide à gréer.

Moi, frêle rider de 93kg niveau correcte en wing
Je naviguais en hipe 110l ou lemon 120l
La hipe pro c juste magique compare à mes deux anciennes boards, ça décolle super tôt et elle est très réactive. Je ne trouve pas qu elle soit non plus exigeante.
Pour l instant j ai essaye la 95l ( ma perso ) et la 105l ( gong hipe tour)
J ai une préférence pour la 105l mais à chaque fois les conditions était très light.(10/15 noeud) , j ai hâte d essayer avec des conditions qui bombarde
La hipe pro c le top pour les p’tits gars comme moi qui aiment bien faire les foufous avec des p’tits sauts ou autres tricks et qui ne veulent pas faire de la résine tout les 5 min!
La on est pas sur un simple coussin gonflable, il y a du travaille dessus et ça se ressent tout de suite, une vrai bombe!
Sans parler des avantages niveau secure du gonflable …

Je ne reviendrai pas trop sur tout ce qui a déjà été écrit sur les évolutions (straps en v, système de fixation de la platine hyper pratique).
L’adaptation après la hipe “classique” est hyper rapide.
Ce qui nous a le plus plu :
La sensation de rigidité sous les pieds ainsi que de l’ensemble board/foil (elle a été testée avec des mâts gong v1 et v2).

Hipe pro 5.1 First test. All Just know the High performances of new inflatable pro. I can only confirm: light in hands and under legs, stabler than I expext (more than lethal 95 for sure), Easy and early take off almost without pumping in 13/15 knots with my droid 5, no soft feeling (board seems really a rigid in fly mode). Perhaps the only difference is in a very small delay ( but really small) in the response to the pressure of the feet, but really small and after half an hour you get used to it. Who don’t know the Extreme reactivity of a Lethal (my personal board) perhaps don’t feel this only difference?. No problem in involuntary contacts with the crests of small waves; it is not like passing them with lethal (lethal Is magic), but the board passes them without stops or problem. hipe pro is really a good option.

First sessions today w HIPE Pro… I was in Lance with 140L and moved to HIPE Pro in 140L… much more narrow and is much smaller because it’s thicker… very choppy day so I was thinking I would swim a lot ?BUT everything is as Gong said – the take off is like sliding downhill on a snowboard – speeds up so well and then, it just flies. Unbelievable… and even better, today I cycled to the spot with everything on my back in the bag…

Le but initial était de tester et voir pour compléter ma Lethal 95L pour les voyages et les road trips en famille.
Franchement, elle est top pour moi perso et le gros kiff, elle a donné envie à ma femme et aux enfants de s’y mettre DONC EXCELLENT je conseille fortement.
Peut-être dans le temps en prendre une seconde en 80L ^^

I sometimes miss the possibility for sessions after work because I need to come home to get my gear and then go to the spot. I wanted to be able to keep my gear with me in the car so that when it is on, and I pass the spot on the way home, I can immediately go! So of course I think about small boards, but my level is not yet good enough, and I am one of the “strong ones” at 99kg. I saw my buddy’s HIPE V2 and was impressed, so I decided to try the PRO. I had a Lance in 140L and thought of a size down on the HIPE Pro at 115L. Patrice advised me through Facebook to stay with 140L and this is perfect. The shape gives me all the progression I hoped for – it is thicker than the Lance, and so the size is smaller, the width is smaller and the OFO measurements are much smaller. I was hoping for a magical speedy glide and take-off from this…
First session, 17kn gusting to 24, Curve XLT and L stab, 5m wing… very choppy… the stability in kneeling is less than my Lance, but only by a small amount. However, this board locks in as soon as it moves! So once the wing is up and we are moving, it is easy to stand, and then – on the first session – I didn’t pump the board even once – just slide, little with the back foot and flying – beautiful! In flight it is so reactive and feels beautiful – I absolutely love this board! Then, I sheeted in, beared off, hit the gas and reached the limit of my talent soon after, and fell off like a humpback whale breaching – super fun!
First session was awesome… but the second was the one I was really interested again… normal conditions for the lake by my house – sometimes only just enough breeze to keep my SP7.5 in the air whilst waiting… then a gust to get flying… this board accelerates and leaves the water SO quickly, I cannot believe it. If anyone tells me inflatables are sticky, then I know they never rode a HIPE Pro. Love this thing…
And the best part – I cycled to the spot on my bicycle, with everything in the board bag, on my back… Yes, even a 85cm mast, a 102cm Curve XLT and a SP7.5m…
Final comment – I didn’t weigh anything but this 140L board must be the lightest 140L board I ever felt… it flies like 100L, carries like 100L and stays possible for a guy with only 30 sessions at 99kg. But most important, it leaves the water faster than a cat!

Je lui colle la xl t fluid ,stab fluid 46 et let’s go.
Je navigue en lethal 4.6 65 lts habituellement et je suis donc sur 60 lts avec la hipe pro 4.6.
Je trouve la stabilité vraiment très bonne même si je coule un poil la board (70kgs)
Mais les réactions de la board sont vraiment très contrôlable je trouve j arrive à avancer quasiment à l’arrêt donc en gros je peux rentrer si le vent tombe.
Passons au décollage
Bah alors là je suis bluffé pareil voir mieux qu en lethal , oui oui vraiment ?
Et en navigation top , très rigide équivalent d une board en dur quasiment .
Et pour finir le système rapide pour fixer la platine sur la board c est juste parfait ,gain de temps énorme , pratique …
Voilà d autre test en conditions surf and jumps début de semaine pro.

I am quite stoked from my new Hipe 5’3 pro. It is really incredible. It is pumped up easily in minutes. In the water it feels like my 5’8 Flint and when flying like my 4’10 Lemon. It is really difficult to make the choice now. The hipe is a bit heavier than the hard borads, so I will keep them.
The only issue I have with the Hipe is the huge bag and package when storing it or travelling, which was the key driver to get it. I pack it as it came from Gong delivery and wonder if there is a better packing possible without damaging the carbon plate and hull. Would be great if someone could post instructions how to get on airplane wihtout bulk baggage extra.

Salut à tous ! Premier essai hier soir de ma hipe Pro 5,3 fraîchement reçue, au top ??! Le vent était ultra light, 7 ou 8 noeuds et quelques risées à 11 ou 12 noeuds peut être.
Première impression au planning: pas du tout moins stable que ma hipe 5,3 v1, au contraire ! Peut-être grâce au strap en Y qui est plus au centre, ou au shape, résultat pas de chute à l’arrêt ou en changement de bord lorsque le vent tombait complètement..
Le décollage: j’ai pas l’impression qu’elle glisse plus vite avant le décollage, mais plutôt qu’elle glisse mieux…c’est comme si elle ne flottait que très légèrement sur l’eau, on a l’impression qu’elle est au dessus et donc elle brasse moins d’eau…résultat dès que la voile est un peu gonflée on peut pumper et taper la carène sur l’eau beaucoup plus rapidement pour ensuite voler dans presque rien !?
En vol : hyper stable, hyper maniable, j’ai plus facilement pris de l’angle et les touchettes n’ont eu aucune incidence ! On a un peu l’impression d’avoir une hipe v1 qu’on aurait gonflé à 30 psi tellement on la sent rigide ?
Conclusion : très prometteuse ! J’ai hâte de l’essayer avec plus de vent mais déjà elle a fait le taff car voler avec si peu de vent et n’avoir eu aucune difficulté à l’appréhender c’est déjà un exploit !

Dans le cadre du #hipeprotour j’ai pu tester lundi la 5’1.
Tout a déja été dit ? mais mon ressenti confirme les retours précédents !
Je ride habituellement une Hipe 4’11 … et je me suis dit que se serait un “retour en arrière” de sortir sur une planche plus grandes et plus volumineuses … et bien pas du tout !
En réalité les 2 planches sont très proches, on remarque l’épaisseur supérieure de la 5’1 seulement quand on l’a dans les mains.
Sur l’eau je me suis senti immédiatement bien dessus ? 25 litres en plus ça ajoute bien du confort et je l’ai trouvé vraiment très stable.
Le plan d’eau était bien remuant donc difficile sur cet essai de vérifier la glisse supérieure MAIS en surf elle est bluffante de facilité ! Je me suis régalé !!!
Quasi tous mes tacks (avec changement de pieds) sont passés. Elle est peut être un poil plus rigide que la 4’11 et pas du tout encombrante ! Les touchettes passent mieux.
Le seul saut tenté a été replaqué et la réception plutôt douce avec un redécollage dans la foulée.
Donc en résumé que du POSITIF !!! J’en viens même à me demander quelle taille je prendrais entre la 4’8 et la 5’1 ? est ce qu’il vaut mieux chercher la compacité ou la glisse et le (sur)confort ?

Hipe pro 5.3 reçue et mise à l’eau le soir même. Une tuerie, tout semble plus facile qu’avec ma hipe 6.0 que j’ai beaucoup aimé. Elle devient donc ma nouvelle planche unique qui va booster ma progression. Hipe tropdbonheur !

Je rentre juste de ma première session avec la nouvelle Hipe pro 5.1 après avoir parcouru plus de 800 kms avec la 5.3.
Conditions très très light, de rien à 12 nœuds peut-être 15 pendant 10 minutes.
Nav sur plan d’eau fermé en 7 m2 et fluid xxls stab fast 45.
Petite pression à la mise à l’eau, départ à genoux et je me suis levé tout de suite, c’est sur c’est moins stable (que la HIPE), je fais 82 kilos et ça passe même sans vent. Bon ça fait travailler les muscles profonds mais ça passe. Je vole sur 2/3 risées peut-être un peu moins tôt qu’avec la 5.3 mais au bout de 20 minutes sur l’eau, je commence à vraiment être plus facile et surtout complètement sec. Le vent, monte un peu 12/13 nœuds et la ça part direct la planche est beaucoup plus vive, tellement plus simple de remonter au vent, les jibes s’engagent facilement avec plus de carve, le changement de pieds est tellement plus simple.
Juste hâte de recommencer dans de vrais conditions.

J’ai tester la 5.1 en comparaison de ma léthal 4.10 clairement trop volumineux pour mes 70 kg. Par contre, pas de surprise, ca décolle aussi top que la léthal. Aucun soucis d’équilibre, certainement même plus stable à l’arrêt grâce au nose plus volumineux. Et clairement c’est vraiment très rigide? une petite bombe cette hipe pro. Je pense pour ma part me prendre la 4.6 ?

J’ai testé la 5’3 il y a quelques minutes, c’est de la balle ! Et pourtant sur le papier grosse perte de confort pour mes 98kg (non équipé) par rapport à mon habituelle Flint 5’8.
Ça passe sans problème, je suis à la limite, mais c’est top… Le décollage est tranquille et les touchettes vraiment douces, l’outline rond glisse bien sur l’eau quand ça touche fort et fait rebondir le nez en douceur.
Le confort d’avoir un gonflable indestructible est formidable, ça donne une tranquillité mentale qui permet de se lâcher. Pas de différence de réponse dans les appuis ou de précision, c’est comme une planche en rigide…
Juste un petit bémol pour moi: j’aurais vu les inserts de straps avant 3-4 cm plus en avant. J’ai réussi à le compenser, mais à l’arrêt, si j’étais pas totalement en appui pied avant l’arrière coulait complètement et je perdais l’équilibre et il y a encore de la surface devant. Et surtout encore pas mal de surface de pads, ça fait bizarre de les voir si loin en arrière comme ça. Cette position est sûrement mieux adaptée pour les riders moins grands/plus légers… En vol je n’ai pas été gêné, c’est juste en statique avant de décoller que c’est chaud que le positionnement des straps par rapport au centre de poussée de la planche qui me semble pas à mon goût, mais c’est sûrement aussi grâce à ça que ça décolle aussi facilement sans risque d’enfourner à bien y réfléchir. Et je suis déjà 10L en dessous de mon volume de confort, alors normal que je sois un peu challengé…

Hip Pro 5’3(review long overdue ;-/
I was delighted that GONG contacted me to participate in the Hipe Pro tour as I had experience with the Hipe V1 and was already really impressed with this model. Finish, quality and design of the V1 was already top off the bill. After using the V1 for a season, made the switch to a Flint and sold the Hipe V1 to a friend and he now uses it to his full satisfaction. Always had the feeling that maybe I had made the switch too early or completely unnecessary at the time…. Anyway I had the V1 during a gearswap session at the end of last year again briefly underfoot. That felt so good that I immediately ordered a Hipe pro when it became available online for pre-order. And am now awaiting delivery of a Hipe pro 5’6.
On April 1st I received the Hipe Pro 5’3 from France and at the moment of unpacking I immediately saw why I was already very charmed by the V1 at the time. Board looks great, finish, form factor everything is right. What I noticed is that where the carbon plate on the bottom passes towards the nose it all seems to be even smoother and the entire design of the carbon plate towards the round tail is completely in sync with each other. Very well done!
The plan was to be able to do at least a few sessions to get a complete picture of the Hipe Pro, but that went a little differently. Lack of time due to work and the weather that turned to winter again screwed this up.
In the session that I was able to do with the Hipe Pro 5’3 I noticed that I had to get used to the feeling of the inflatable compared to hard Flint. It feels a bit corky. Where you have to pay close attention to the position on the board while climbing on the board and getting on the knees otherwise it will shoot out from under you ?. It took some getting used to and after a few attempts this was solved. Once you stand, it all feels fine again. Rigidity of the construction is great. Comfortable underfoot (press 15psi) and if you are on the foil no difference at all with a hard variant. I had the impression that I got away earlier than with the Flint on foil. Was with a V2 Neutra 4 meters and had a Fluid front wing, x-over stab (Love it) in combination with the 85cm alu V2 mast and wind was between 17 and 28 knots. Gusts!
The whole combo felt nice, direct and balanced. Without any habituation immediately good. Touchdowns while sailing and turning feel smooth and easy to control because the board is softer. After this session the board went to the next ambassador, the time was too short for more. Unfortunately.
I’m looking forward to my 5’6 which will hopefully come soon. Expect this to be my go to board for the coming period. Rock solid. Insensitive to bumps and dings both in the water and on the shore. Travel proof. Blow up and go. Great concept without down sides.

Et si on ajoute que je fais 98kg à sec (et débuté en Octobre 21) et que Yohann est autour des 95kg… On peut dire que ça glisse très bien cette bombinette de 105L!
En passant de ma Flint 5’8 110L (une référence en terme de stabilité et de capacité de glisse au décollage) je n’ai pas eu a changer mes habitudes au décollage et à l’atterrissage, si ce n’est une stabilité plus délicate avec les quelques litres en moins et le passage d’un shape Tomo a une pillule toute ronde ?
Le bonheur de manipuler la board sans stress d’abîmer ce bel objet dans les galets/Cailloux du rivage ou avec une boucle de harnais, ça permet de se concentrer sur le reste ( vite remonter sur sa board après une chute, oser des manoeuvres, des tricks, sortir de l’eau en ce concentrant uniquement sur le Foil et l’aile, la planche ne risque rien!…)

Dimanche en FLUID XXL-T Superpower 6 dans un vent vraiment faible et lundi en Veloce XL-T Neutra 5 dans un vent confortable.
Mes premières impressions sont très bonnes, je dirais qu’elle est plus stable que la Lethal 5’3 et j’ai vraiment été impressionné par la glisse, tolérance aux touchettes et surtout la facilité des réceptions de sauts, je n’en ai jamais raté aussi peu qu’avec la HIPE pro. Je ne sais pas si ça va me décider à changer ma Lethal mais ça pose clairement la question.

Testé la 5’3 il y a quelques minutes, c’est de balle ! Et pourtant sur le papier grosse perte de confort pour mes 98kg (non équipé) par rapport à mon habituelle Flint 5’8.
Ca passe sans pb, je suis à la limite, mais c’est top… Le décollage est tranquille et les touchettes vraiment douces, l’outline rond glisse bien sûr l’eau quand ça touche fort et fait rebondir le nez en douceur.
Le confort d’avoir un gonflable indéstructible est formidable ça donne une tranquillité mentales qui permet de se lâcher et pas de différence de réponse dans les appuis ou de précision, c’est comme une planche en dur…
-Juste un petit bémol pour moi: j’aurais vu les inserts de straps avant 3-4 cm plus en avant j’ai réussi à le compenser, mais à l’arrêt, si j’étais pas totalement en appui pied avant l’arrière coulait complètement et je perdais l’équilibre et il y a encore de la surface devant et surtout encore pas mal de surface de pads, ça fait bizarre de les voir si loin en arrière comme ça. Cette position est sûrement mieux adaptée pour les rider moins grands/plus légers…

Superbe soleil, et petite brise en place très faible, la Hipe pro est gonflée et on va tester malgré tout ce joli jouet.
Pas d illusion, je ne vole pas dans 8/10nds , mais je cape et je trouve la Hipe pro plus stable que sa soeur en FSp lethal 5’1 dans ces conditions.
J essaye de décoller dans les risées à 10nds….mais en vain, il m aurait fallut une xxls fluid où là je decollais j en suis quasi certain quand il y avait les 11 nds en risée.
Bref….je patiente, j y crois , et 45mn plus tard…un peu fatigué à pomper avec la wing et la board comme un psychopathe ?, je décolle enfin lorsque les 12 nds pointent leur nez …mais non sans mal…. à 13nds, je décolle facilement sans m exercer à la muscu… à 11/12, je décolle en me concentrant et en faisant du physique avec le matos .
Je dirais que la hype décolle comme ma FSP , difficile à confirmer si c est de manière identique, en léger retrait ou en léger mieux…mais ça se joue alors à vraiment rien….
Une fois en L air…..JE METS AU DEFI DE COMPARER LA HIPE PRO ET FSP dans ces conditions mis à part le confort du gonflable au toucher avec la voûte plantaire ..très agréable ?.
Habitué à l ancienne Hipe v1, je sens vraiment une différence entre ces 2 planches dans les vagues, beaucoup plus incisifs avec cette hipepro, il n y a pas photo…
D ailleurs, tout est intuitif vs ma léthal fsp…
En effet, je passe toutes mes manœuvres à l identique, sans me préoccuper d être sur du Gonflable….en fait, je ne sens pas de différence de performance…juste le confort qu apporte le gonflable en plus au toucher , je le répète.
Alors oui , la technologie f.sp sera toujours inégalable… Il faut être clair là-dessus, mais…. On est clairement pas dans la gonflable du bazar de l’angle de sa rue avec cette hipe pro ??
Dans la vague , je m éclate tout autant, et je me dis, qu effectivement, cette hipepro pourrait être ma planche unique comme l est actuellement mon fsp , mais avec l avantage de ne jamais l abîmer…
Quel bonheur de la lâcher des mains et la laisser tomber sur la pelouse du spot sans crier … : ” ,Ooooooh pu#@€& !!! Noooooooooon !!! ???
Cette hipe est juste bluffante voilà tout, je ne saute pas mais j imagine que ça doit être tout pareil avec cette planche, car on ressent pas de souplesse en vol.
La souplesse relative du gonflable, je dirais que on peut la ressentir au takeoff, lors de la phase du pumping…mais elle n est pas contre productive.
Dommage, les images drone auraient été sympa, car franchement je surfais exactement de la même manière qu’avec ma fsp… Ça serait pour moi les quelques mots de la fin… C’est-à-dire qu avec cette planche , on peut vraiment se poser la question de l’avoir en planche unique ???.
Je je remets ici la petite interview avec Yann Stephant , un inconditionnel de gong, qui a bien aimé cette petite hipe pro… Enfin au moins sur le parking ??
Pour les futurs possesseurs, n’ayez crainte, cette planche est vraiment vraiment bluffante ??

Un rapide retour avant d’en faire un après les sessions en vague de la semaine. La board est bien fini , c’est costaud, le poids est mesuré. On en rêverait presque mais pour l’instant mes nuits sont partagés avec les belles courbes de la Lethal .
Condition du test 4/22nds (non non il ne manque pas un chiffre , c’était vraiment irrégulier), plan d’eau flat avec la Droid 5m et foil Fluid XLT + Fast 45.
La poignée est pratique pour la mise à l’eau mais étant peu profonde on ne fait pas 500m de cette façon.
Plan d’eau plat + “grosse” board de 95l = aucun soucis à genoux. Je pense que la Hipe Pro doit être un peu plus facile qu’une léthal de taille équivalente car elle a plus de volume sur le nez ce qui permet de s’appuyer dessus contrairement à la léhtal. Ce qui permet de moins faire le cheval à bascule.
On décollage on sent qu’elle est moins large cela glisse bien. Et bizarrement j’ai l’impression de mieux pomper avec elle car je joue avec la techno gonflable pour utiliser le rebond de la planche pour m’alléger et décoller.
On nav pas grand chose à dire cela fait très bien le job. C’est bien maniable (hâte de tester dans les vagues), c’est bien rigide.
On ne se dit pas que l’on est sur du gonflable au sens planche molle, souple, pas performant, limite jouet de plage. Il n’y a absolument pas de manque de rigidité. Mais si tu fais bien attention au feeling au niveau de tes pieds, on a se côté amorti, léger caractéristique du gonflable. A l’inverse avec une FSP Pro on va avoir un côté très direct et dur.

Allez, je vous fais mon retour sur cette fameuse hipe pro 4.6. Merci à Patrice pour l’initiative et a Hell June pour le test.
Test en lac intérieur avec vent irrégulier et plutôt léger. Je navigue habituellement sur une Lethal 4.6. Alors cette Hipe pro????? Complètement bluffante !!!! Départ au planning aussi précoce que ma lethal, super maniable et réception de saut bien smooth. Au niveau rigidité, a mon niveau, pas vu de difference avec ma lethal. En résumé, franchement topissime.
Petit bonus en fin de vidéo, j’ai pas pu m’empêcher ! Pour un 3 avril dans les Pyrénées……hallucinant!!!!

Aujourd’hui pas de vent ou presque , de zéro a 10nds max , clairement en temps normal jamais je prends autre chose que ma lethal de 80L , mais je tenais à tester la Hipe Pro dans ces conditions marginales …
Fluid XXLT en dessous et Neutra v2 6m dans les mains…
Pour la faire courte ça marche nickel , autre lesson du jour elle est ultra bien équilibrée en pumping , un vrai régal !

Le truc bien cool quand tu es ambassadeur c’est quand Gong décide que tu vas pouvoir tester et faire tester à tes potes la nouvelle Hipe Pro avant tout le monde … j’ai donc demandé au monsieur barbu ? de m’envoyer la baby Hipe Pro … la 4’6 …
Quand un bonhomme barbu nous envoie des jouets il fait generalement un froid glacial … on a beau être le 2 Avril la météo de Noël ?était au rendez-vous pour déballer ce cadeau ! 2 degrés et j’ai même eu le droit à de la Neige ☃️❄, mais quand aime on se motive ?
Première étape déballage ?… déjà que la Hipe était bien pensée dans le détail, cette Pro pousse le vice encore plus loin avec le système de fixation du mat qui va encore permettre aux plus pressés de gagner quelques secondes pour aller à l’eau ! C’est beau c’est propre mais on était déjà habitué
Aller c’est pas tout mais on ne me l’a pas envoyée pour juste la regarder avec les yeux … direction le spot à 5min de la maison pour l’essayer… a peu près 15nds assez irréguliers comme d’habitude, je pars en Fluid LS , stab Fast 40cm, mat carbone 85cm , Neutra V2 5m.
Pour rappel je suis un presque quinquagénaire, 87kgs tout nu , niveau débrouillé ++ ! Mes boards habituelles une Lethal 4.10 de 80L , et une Hipe V3 4.8 de 48L … cette Hipe Pro 4.6 fait 60L et se situe donc entre mes 2 boards.
Mise à l’eau, assis dessus les 12L de plus que la 4.8 V3 donnent une très bonne flotaison, en terme de stabilité à genoux c’est assez comparable à la lethal , c’est clairement pas une board de débutant mais le volume généreux dans le noze calme bien les phases transitoires.
Au takeoff rien à dire ça vole tôt, ça glisse bien , si on me pose la question de la comparer à la lethal je ne sais pas honnêtement répondre tellement c’est proche !
2 bords plus tard je commence à envoyer des backloops et des jumps , ce qui marque c’est l’effet du volume dans le nose pour stabiliser les réceptions, et là je dirais qu’elle prends des points vs une Lethal… elle est aussi moins lourde sous les pieds que les précédents modèles… je me suis mis de ces vols mama Mia !!! ???
Donc voilà 1h de gros kiff avant de rentrer un peu congelé… ???
En conclusion après cette première session j’ai eu un gros coup de cœur, cette Hipe Pro gomme les quelques points négatifs que je trouvais à la Hipe V3 4.8 , un peu plus de litrage et un peu moins de poids , la glisse sur la Hipe V3 ne m’avais jamais gênée mais la Hipe Pro part clairement aussi bien que la Lethal… c’est le genre de board qui selon moi remet pas mal en question l’existence même du rigide dans mon quiver … game changer comme dirait Patrice Guénolé ??

La planche parfaite pour l’entrainement freestyle. Hyper confortable dans les réceptions ! Et puis il y a ce nouveau shape qui fait que la board décolle pour un rien.

La HIPE Pro c’est à 90% comme une bonne rigide, avec des avantages de dingue ! Une très bonne maniabilité, fluide et radicale autant pour le surf que pour du freestyle !

Le départ sur cette board est juste bluffant. A peine tu pompes avec la wing et déjà tu planes.

Cette HIPE PRO n’a vraiment rien a envier à une planche rigide. Le décollage est facile et les performances en navigation sont excellentes. Le nouveau système de fixation du foil est super pratique.
Le design est beau, les finitions sont soignées c’est qualitatif.

Top planche, impressionné par la sensation de légèreté et la finesse. Avec la 4’6 pour 65 kg, j’étais aussi à l’aise qu’avec ma Mint 4’6 pour le décollage mais attention une fois en vol, c’est clairement plus compact et plus réactif: que du bonheur.

La HIPE PRO se rapproche encore plus des performances des planches de wing FSP PRO. Elle est très stable en réception de saut grâce au volume qui est répartie sur toute la longueur. Le décollage est vraiment impressionnant, au moins aussi tôt qu’avec ma Lethal FSP PRO. Les réceptions de sauts sont moins violentes.
Une superbe planche qui n’a pas de limite.
