In surfing, the X-over is very simple. Not the most radical but certainly the smoothest while offering great handling. This is especially true at low speed or in soft waves where it will really perform.
A beginner in foiling will love the X-over because it offers immense potential for progression. The low ratio increases tolerance. It’s ideal for feeling comfortable. The foil does not fly too fast as soon as you climb on it to catapult you into an uncontrollable fall, but it accelerates when pumping.
Playful, easy, relatively quick, it has all the qualities for someone who does not seek radicalism.

Several wing sizes adapt to different builds and different swell speeds.
Understand each wing in detail:
- The M is 70 cm wide, 1250 cm², 2.4 cm thick for a volume of 1.59L. Mounted with a 42 cm X-Over stab, it’s a surf foil that is aimed at riders with a weight under 60kg.
- The L is 80 cm wide, 1550 cm², 2.7 cm thick for a volume of 2.19L. Mounted with a 42 cm X-Over stab, it’s a surf foil that is aimed at riders with a weight under 75kg.
- The XL is 90cm wingspan, 1900cm², 2.9cm thick for a volume of 2.82L. Mounted with a 46 cm X-Over stab, this is a surf foil that is aimed at riders with a weight between 75kg and 85kg.
- The XXL is 100 cm wide, 2200 cm², 3.1 cm thick for a volume of 3.36L. Mounted with a 46 cm X-Over stab, this is a surf foil that is aimed at riders with a weight over 85kg.
The shape of this range puts everything on the surface. This is its main strength: a large downforce which allows you to fly very early on on compact and therefore reactive wings. You fly almost immediately and effortlessly. But this surface also saves you from oversizing and having to take a wing with a lot of wingspan that will be less maneuverable. This large surface area of the X-Over and therefore their compactness is a guarantee of maneuverability. For someone who wants to go through maneuvers, this is the perfect wing.
The profile is quite thin: you’ll have a potential top speed high enough to pass the sections and pump. L’Ours has designed this foil for beginner to intermediate foilers looking to progress. A program that needs an early takeoff and strong acceleration, without sacrificing handling. This is exactly what the X-Over does.
Seen from the front, the X-over is almost flat to get the most performance possible. The user of these wings will know how to manage their height and recover from stalls if necessary. The lack of camber makes for very healthy behavior.
The shank that allows the connection of the stab to the fuselage is longer than on other models. The stab is found further away from the Front Wing. This increase in the wheelbase gives longitudinal stability to the X-Over foil and facilitates the management of the pitch attitude for working maneuvers.
The winglets at 90 ° to the profile are pronounced to stabilize the foil in direction (yaw), and limit steering and crabbing. The foil will naturally position itself in the axis for maximum efficiency and facilitate learning.
The pack consists of an X-Over Front Wing with an X-Over stab.
The new 65cm aluminum mast and the fuselage are delivered with the Mast Fuselage Connector for a conical assembly without play.
The 4-hole plate, with standard center distances, will offer you a perfect connection between your foil and your board.
The complete screw kit with spanner is supplied. Everything is delivered in a very practical transport bag to store and transport your dismantled foil.
Our wings are made of 90% Prepreg 3K carbon, with over 15 layers of fiber in total. High stress points like joints and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and with glass for tolerance. High pressure and high temperature molded on a foam core, our wings are virtually indestructible. Both rigid and floating, they‘re the perfect balance between low weight and infinite durability.
All of our wings and stabs have soft “tips”. Their ends are rounded and voluminous to limit the danger, to the limit of hydrodynamic performances. Likewise, the trailing edges are blunt so as not to be sharp. We invite you to exercise the utmost caution nonetheless. Keep your distances and never sharpen them.
Our new 65cm Alu mast is perfect for performing with the Foil X-Over. It gains in performance and modernity with this new teardrop-shaped profile. Its chord is wider to optimize hydrodynamics and limit drag. This also eliminates the phenomenon of mast twisting and thus offers sharper sensations in the surf.
The profile is also thicker to bring more rigidity and to offer a direct and incisive piloting which will surprise you even in very committed curves. This gain in rigidity will allow you to be much more efficient in pumping as well as in surfing thanks to a more precise feeling of the foil.
A new assembly part between the mast and the fuselage is appearing this year: the Mast Fuselage Connector. It’s a conical piece to fit in the fuselage with a 6cm fitting in the mast to eliminate any potential play between these two parts. You have the rigidity of a monobloc mast with a removable system.
The new fuselage retains its assembly system with the wings to maintain compatibility with all our front wings and stabs. The top plate is still gaining in strength

This technology has been tested and proven for over three years without any breakage on 30,000 ALLVATOR foil wings. In the event of a violent impact on a rock, you can easily repair them and they will be as good as new.
You will never see a GONG wing open on a leading edge because our unique draping technique crosses the layers of fibres. So there is no parting line on our wings. The entire outline has overlapping gaps, just like the rails on your top of the range boards.
Masts, plate and fuselage are made of aluminum for a very tight price. We use high quality aluminum, extruded for the mast and CNC machined for the other parts.

On a surf foil it’s a simple and manoeuvrable front wing that will lift you gradually because its profile is relatively thin. Very allround, very predictable, very efficient, it’s a really cool and maneuverable wing.

We will use a larger foil in low ranges, soft conditions. And conversely a smaller foil in those recommended for stronger conditions. The important thing to remember is that the choice of your front wing depends on your size which requires lift and your average speed which generates lift.
When pumping from dock start or beach start, we recommend the front wings as follows:
The XL: from 65kg to 85kg.
The XXL: above 85kg.
The ALLVATOR V2 Surf X-Over foil is ideal on a progression surf foil board like the Lance.
Positioning of the foil ?
For the GONG foils, place it in the middle of the US rails.
The more you move it forward, the more it makes the board pitch up. The further you move it backwards, the more the nose of the board dives.
Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend to forget to use the back foot, especially when we have a kitefoil background. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.
Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.
The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.
However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.
As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.
It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:
- All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
- The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.
We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.
The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.
We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.
Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.
We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.
Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.
Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.
The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.
For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Tracking of your parcels :
The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.
If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.
We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.
We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.
For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.
Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.
Reception of your Board:
Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.
But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

When you practice Foil you expose yoursef to possible serious Risks. A poor mastering of a Foil can expose you to Cuts and/or Serious Bodily Harm, even Death for youself and possibley others around you.
Foiling should be practiced, in all circumstances, by taking precautions and taking into cosideration all that is involved and associated with SURF/SUP sports. Remember that a Foil is long and has an edge that could cause slicing and is capable of reaching very high speeds. Getting hit by a Foil, or hitting another, can incrue dramatic and highly unwanted consequences.
Always Foil far from others, and in waters that are secure and without obstacle.
Always wear a helmet and protective vest that assures Floatability. Always wear a full body Neoprane Wetsuit.
When handling and manipulating a Foil be careful not to cut yourself along its edges.
