The Couine Marie Cruising is a fast AND stable board, ideal for long rides.
When rowing, it reassures from the first strokes of the paddle. You can start even if you don’t know anything about surfing or if you have a sturdy body frame. We are high enough on the water to take on a passenger. It is very rigid. And when we paddle harder, it propels forward with its fast rocker.
But what you need to know is that its stability, with its generous width, will make it possible to engage in long hours of pleasure without tiredness, and to carry enough load to make breaks to eat or even to spend the night under the stars.
This board is the queen of the relaxed ride, but also of long excursions. 90% of users will do nice strolls lasting an hour or two. But the Couine Marie Cruising is ready for adventure!
We like to define our Couine Marie line as the full option version of inflatable SUP boards. They are equipped with all the top of the line accessories and a beautifully worked pad.

Construction
With its top of the range inflatable technology in Doubled Layered Welded Woven Dropstitch, this GONG board is beautiful, light, very rigid and really solid.
The Couine Marie are the best, yet still accessible with our direct sales distribution that does not add margins. We are far from the low cost boards made in low end factories by people who know nothing about it.
GONG is a serious and renowned brand, which got into stand up paddling in its very early days and brought it to the level of respectability that we know today. It is therefore unthinkable for us to make low-end products that we see in supermarkets.
Equipements
The Couine Marie CRUISING comes with a US central fin because the objective of the Couine Marie range is to have a high performance SUP. When we know that the fin makes 50% of the performance of a board, GONG had to come up with a relevant solution. This is why our inflatable SUPs offer a US box for the center fin. Thus, you will have access to the largest standard on the high-end fin market. A huge choice of fins to adapt according to your level, your practice and the conditions.
It is equipped with five carrying handles to grab it easily.
The bungee cord at the front of the board is super practical for securing a dry bag or the paddle. Perfect for bringing safety gear, water and a snack.
The large diameter leash ring is the strongest on the market. And we’ve added a towing ring for safety, but also because it’s really handy to have an attachment point on the nose during transport, at anchor, or to secure a camera.
The Deck Pad is particularly designed to be efficient and comfortable. At the level of the bungee cord, the 5 mm Double Diamond Deck Pad allows the equipment to be well wedged during navigation. It does not move! When cruising, the grooved Deck Pad is super comfortable, the feet are well anchored. At the tail, we find the 5mm Double Diamond Deck Pad with kicker which offers flawless grip and comfort, perfect for surfing and maneuvering.
The supplied double-action inflation pump is super efficient to be the first in the water.
A repair kit is also included in the event of damage (note the kit is delivered without glue which you will easily find in your DIY store). Note that we have the components of your board in stock in order to repair it fairly easily.
Everything comes in a super practical and solid rolling carry bag.

Shape
This shape is designed for adventure. Its taut lines are designed to promote paddling speed and comfort. It is a clever adaptation of the thousands of templates that we have developed over the past 30 years that allows us to have such efficient and facilitating behavior.
In cruising, we appreciate its glide specific to inflatable boards, all in fluidity. Thanks to its volume and large width, this shape offers great paddling comfort, which is essential for long excursions. If you want to pick up the pace, its contoured nose will accelerate with ease. In more difficult conditions, its raised and slender nose allows the choppy water to flow calmly like a bow. The outline with its round tail is very buoyant, it accepts positioning errors and allows you to turn without forcing.
On waves or swells, the take off is early because the distribution of the volume of an inflatable makes it start early on the wave. It’s a very fast board thanks to its almost constant rocker. Its voluminous round tail allows you to step back in the surf or downwind, it’s super stable. Once back, it’s really fun!
For each size, the volume is important, it can accompany you from your beginnings to excursions of several hours. It’s the versatile shape between 90% ride and 10% surf for all sizes.

The Benefits are clear:
To understand Dropstitch, it is two skins that are connected by threads every x millimeters. These skins are made of waterproof PVC and the threads are ultra-resistant. All these threads are vertical and of the same length. They allow the two skins to be parallel under tension. When we create this mesh of threads, we are going to make “knots” on the surface a bit like canvas. Then we drown these surfaces in PVC to form the waterproof skins.
We then describe the particularities of the Woven under two axes:
1/ Vertical
The Dropstitch threads are no longer aligned vertically but crossed at different angles, thus forming oblique struts that are cleverly distributed to balance each other. This concept gives much more rigidity to the whole.
2/ Horizontal
The flat braiding of the Dropstitch (the knots) becomes a very compact mesh which brings a great rigidity to the Board. In Woven Dropstitch the fibers are spread out instead of being in cylinders. This mesh is tighter and more homogeneous. It consumes less PVC in the interstices, like combed fibers which consume less resin in the Carbon.
The density of the mesh naturally increases rigidity and requires a thinner PVC backing than conventional Dropstitch (1.9mm vs. 2.5mm for equivalent rigidity).
This optimized weave therefore allows the material to be considerably lighter, without altering its qualities.
Attention, our techno remains a Double Layer thermo-welded with all its advantages of rigidity and strength.
What we call the Woven Dropstitch is the heart of the Inflatable Board, which makes the inner dynamics of the Board. But on the outside, nothing is better than a Double Welded Layer to protect your Board from aggressions.
For your information, the Woven can be offered in single or double layer. It’s obviously cheaper in single layer 😉 Inform yourself and ask questions…
The Double Layer Woven is the high-end version of the Inflatable Boards.
The Woven Dropstitch is the techno for all our Couine Marie SUP, but also in the HIPE.
The 3″ thick Boards like the Couine Marie Surfboards and the smaller HIPE, remain in classic Dropstitch since the Woven is not produced in 3″ to date.
The shape of this board makes it suitable for SUPers of all levels. From pure beginners to experienced enthusiasts.
First, because it is easy. This will help beginners, but offer a lot of comfort to the pro who will use it in a relaxed mode.
For a cruise, more cruising and a whole lotta cruising. Of course, this Couine Marie will take you everywhere. In nice little cruising or expedition mode, the CM Cruising is just great because of its comfortable width combined with a real fast shape.

This board is perfect with a Carbon Mix 100% GONG Paddle cut to the right size or adjustable, and a top of the range fiberglass or carbon fin.
If you want high performance, you will need a paddle between your height and + 10cm.
For cruising, a paddle your size +15 to +20 cm is ideal.
Its length determines your paddling frequency.
Never leave your board in the sun, let alone an inflatable board which will heat up very quickly. You risk seeing it peel off because the materials it is made of become flexible in the heat. Never store it under a car window, or in contact with a heat source.
Never let your board get roughed up in the waves, especially when you’re close to the beach. You have to protect it from major strains. A wave that takes your board and rolls it can do damage.
Do not hold it by the leash indefinitely because it can give way under very high tension. Avoid big waves and don’t resist. If it breaks, it’s easy to change but annoying.
Stay away from oysters: this is one of the few seashells that can cut your board and sink it in seconds. Be careful +++
Don’t let your inflatable board rub on something for a long time. It can happen on a boat, for example, that your board moves with each wave and rubs for hours in the same place. The material will disintegrate because it will be as sanded. You will have a hole that will need to be covered with a patch.
Never put the board between the wave and you: risk of a broken nose type injury 😉
Do not paddle far at sea with an offshore wind, and avoid windy outings as it is rarely fun and always dangerous. SUP is an activity that involves real risks, even in seemingly peaceful conditions. Always anticipate these risks and protect yourself.

The dates of availability of all our products are written on each product page, in the size and colour of the product concerned.
These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.
We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.
If it’s available online: it’s available ?
Pre-order:
Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.
Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.
The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.
However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.
As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.
It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:
We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.
Delays:
The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.
We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.
Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.
We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.
Shipping Fees:
Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.
Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.
The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.
For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Tracking of your parcels :
The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.
If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.
Delivery:
We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.
We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.
For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.
Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Nouveau paddler dans le Haut-Rhin, j’habite dans une jolie vallée au sud du département.
Après avoir essayé le SUP 2 fois une heure en lac, j’ai décidé d’acheter mon propre matériel.
J’ai commandé une Couine Marie Cruising 13’6 afin de pouvoir faire de belles balades en ayant de la stabilité (le bestiau dessus fait 110 kg…).
Première mise à l’eau aujourd’hui au lac de Vaivre et Montoille (70), j’ai gonflé à 15 PSI et ça allait bien. J’adore cette nouvelle planche, j’ai hate de maitriser mieux pour pouvoir faire des sessions dans des grands lacs et en rivière.

Hello, voici un petit retour d’expérience en eau vive sur la Couine Marie Cruising 11’6 montée avec un aileron court de 4’’6.
Une pépite cette planche !
C’est ma première fois en eau vive, ainsi que ma première course (Tawara Race Millau 2021).
Planche très très stable, suffisamment rapide grâce à son profilage fuselé.
Lors des passages des rapides, malgré l’aileron court, il a frotté à quelques reprises. J’ai adopté une technique afin d’éviter le frottement, je me suis mise au maximum sur l’avant de la planche.
Des fois ça passait des fois non, le manque d’eau était conséquent par endroit.
Exceptionnel ! Aucune perte d’équilibre ! Très facile de pouvoir se déplacer sur l’avant et le milieu de la planche.
Pour finir, j’aime beaucoup cette board. Elle m’a permis de tenir sur 18 km très facilement. Sa largeur permet une stabilité vraiment confortable. Elle est rapide, et j’ai pu lever la tête à plusieurs reprises pour profiter du paysage, des truites énormes qui passaient à côté de ma board ! Prochain défi, 78 km .
Hello, here is a little feedback on a white water experience on the Couine Marie Cruising 11’6 mounted with a short 4”6 fin.
This board is a gem!
This is my first time in white water, as well as my first race (Tawara Race Millau 2021).
Very very stable board, fast enough thanks to its tapered profiling.
During the rapids, despite the short fin, it touched the bottom a few times. I adopted a technique to avoid this, I put myself on the front of the board as much as possible.
Sometimes it happened, sometimes not, the lack of water was significant in places.
Exceptional! No loss of balance! Very easy to move on the front and the middle of the board.
Finally: I really like this board. It allowed me to hold on for 18 km very easily. Its width allows a really comfortable stability. It’s fast, and I was able to lift my head several times to enjoy the scenery, huge trout passing by my board! Next challenge, 78 km.
