The Lethal is THE kiteboard for going big in good conditions. With its point nose and its round tail, it’s 100% shortboard oriented for extreme carving.
In the surf, it’s custom made for sideshore conditions. It works well in hollow waves thanks to its precise drive. It will give you the confidence you need for throwing down the most radical of moves and for projecting yourself up the sweetest wave faces in serenity.
It offers perfect pivot and incredible rail to rail. When you transfer your stance back and forth in the curve, you can feel all the magic of the round tail, which doesn’t limit this radicalism. The Lethal dives in the curve, but it also knows how to do snappy turns and throw big sprays +++.
To get to the point: it’s the board for the sickest turns!
The outline is 100% shortboard with an ultra manoeuvrable tail and a thin point nose so it doesn’t get caught in the turns, barrels and tricks. The shape of the board is a set of very soft curves for a progressive action triggering. You enter the curves and increase the pressure at will, without losing the rail. It’s very healthy behavior that allows you to take advantage of this radical board.
The round tail provides ultra progressive rail to rail and the best possible handling. The portion of rail submerged in the curve is reduced as you push with the rear foot. So it’s up to you to define the radicality of your turns !!!
The point nose is so minimalist that you won’t ever think about it.
The very heavy rocker is dedicated to handling. The slightest pressure on the tail releases the nose to turn even shorter, do a snap and throw some spray.
The work on the hull is important to combine a strong grip on the edges and handling in the surf. We go from a very big concave in the center to a double concave at the tail which directs the board in addition to the fins. And we end with a double concave in V behind the central fin to optimize the rail to rail tilt without losing grip in the curve.
Finally the volume is reduced to the strict minimum to have an ultra healthy board that does not bounce at the bottom, it’s very discreet and gives particularly effective thin rails.
The LETHAL KITE FSP 2X are equipped with a high-end pad for maximum grip.
These boards are equipped with three FCS II boxes to insert and remove your favorite fins without tools.
The multiple straps inserts allow all adjustments from beginner to Pro.
You can also use your board for surfing, a leash plug will allow you to never lose it. Nothing is missing.
These boards are equipped with an innovative technology called FSP 2X for the best weight / strength / performance compromise on the market. The gain is significant since on average 15% lighter than the 2019 FSPs.
The addition of a biaxial fibre reinforces the board, so no concession has been made on the exemplary solidity of FSPs, on the contrary.

FSP 2X Kitesurfing Technology:
The FSP 2X technology is easily repairable to new in case of dings. The PVC foam of the sandwich is waterproof and avoids water intake from everyday shocks. The EPS foam blank does not deteriorate because it’s well protected from water. And repairs have a much larger support to lean on and blend seamlessly with the surrounding material.
This technology offers, at an affordable price, the incomparable solidity/lightness ratio of the vacuum-assisted full PVC sandwich.

The Lethal kiteboard will work wonderfully with a Freewave.
You can complete the low range with a Matata kiteboard or a Catch Foil when the wind is really light.
When the wind is lighter and the waves softer, an Alu kiteboard will give you more mobility on the water and more power to throw down big moves.
In light conditions, a Matata will be a great option for freeriding or surfing in mushy waves.
And in freestyle a Catch kiteboard or a Fatal would be very complementary.
The Lethal kiteboard is mounted in Tri-fin with FCSII boxes. You are free to assemble the set of fins of your choice. All FCSII fin models are available on our website.
Riding strapless is sexy because you feel free. You’ll find the sensations of surfing and the mobility on the board to play with the waves. It’s a very pure style of riding but difficult to master.
With the straps, you are sure that your board will stay hooked to your feet, even in the most committed aerial maneuvers. You will have a lot more control and performance will be a step above.
It’s up to you to choose between feeling and performances. Put your straps in the central position (3rd hole) for the front, and the same goes for the rear strap.
If you want to be able to remove the rear foot for transitions and surfing, place the rear strap on the first hole.

These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. Pre-order:
Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.
Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.
The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.
However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.
As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.
We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.
Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.
We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.

Delivery:
We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.
We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.
For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.
Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Reception of your Board:
Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.
But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

Parmi toutes celles de la gamme que j’ai pu essayer, c’est LA board que je vais garder. Je m’y retrouve tellement dans celle-ci ! LA pépite 🥇
Une planche vive, très vive avec son tail pincé. On peut vraiment jouer et tourner de manière radical. ce que j’adore.
Dans les plus petites vagues, le pumping est facile et ça prend rapidement de la vitesse.
C’est également la plus fine de la gamme donc j’ai un meilleur feeling avec en navigation. Je ressens plus la planche et pour moi, c’est un point important pour bien s’approprier la planche pour bien la manier. A côté du kite, je fais du carver. Je retrouve vraiment ce feeling en terme de mania.
A la remontée au vent, la planche ne s’emballe pas au point de faire savonnette dans le clapots.

Pour moi il s’agit de ma 2ème Lethal en 5’6. Pourquoi la 2ème ? Parce que j’ai plié la précédente à force des folies en tout genre qu’elle permet (et plier une 5’6 c’est une première pour moi) !
Mais ce shape me convient parfaitement (1,65m pour 75 kg, strapé, straps +1 en partant de l’arrière) autant dans le vent fort de Carro que dans les plus grosses vagues et les courants de la Torche. Par ailleurs, la nouvelle construction semble nettement plus solide et rigide (les talons ne s’enfoncent plus du tout) !
Elle est bien plus polyvalente qu’on pourrait supposer, cape très correctement et je l’utilise 9 sessions sur 10, délaissant ma méritante ALU 5’9 même dans le vent léger.
Le bottom est parfait, la prise de rail est intuitive, stable et rapide, toutes les courbes sont permises, je n’ai jamais enfourné avec (ce qui n’est pas le cas de la ALU) et on remonte vers la lèvre avec beaucoup (parfois trop !) de vitesse.
Pareil pour le roller, tout est possible, avec des appuis puissants et plein de spray, tout en fluidité.
Cette board mérite toutefois de meilleurs ailerons que ceux d’origine, donc n’hésitez pas à upgrader (les carver M super, les H4 M moyens pour cette board).

J’ai trouvé la board pour attaquer fort !
Dans la gamme GONG ce shortboard avait sur papier toutes les qualités pour me plaire et je les ai retrouvées sur l’eau ! Je voulais avant tout une board sans concession pour être rapide au bottom et agressif au top turn. Bah c’est exactement ce que son shape permet. On peut engager les rails au bottom sans effort et à pleine vitesse. Son round tail permet de trouver de l’accroche quel que soit le rayon de courbe ou le type de section.
Les turns sont fluides et sans rupture.
On arrive sur le haut de la vague avec de la vitesse pour envoyer des litres d’eau. Cette 5’9 convient parfaitement à mon gabarit (83kg). Elle porte suffisamment dans les molles et réagit au quart de tour dans les manœuvres. Je ne l’ai pas trouvé compliquée à prendre en main. Ce n’est pas la board idéale pour le freestyle mais les manœuvres passent crème. J’ai navigué en strappé et strapless pour les mêmes conclusions. On peut vraiment se lâcher sur cette board, gros roller, off the lip ou re-entry, tout passe.”

Apres 3 sessions ( entre 10 et 30 Noeuds) avec la nouvelle LETHAL 5’9 2021, voici mes impressions : un tres beau surf leger et rigide, qui parait costaud avec sa latte centrale, et qui marche dans toutes les conditions, et pas seulement en vent side-shore !
D’abord, j’ai changé les 2 ailerons latéraux d’origine pour des fibres plus rigides de même taille : démarrage au planning plus efficace et contrôle dans les turn au millimètre . Avec mon poids de 84 kg, on peut ainsi naviguer dès 10-12 Nd de vent, faire plus de cap, et partir du bord bien plus facilement si le vent est on-shore. Je navigue en strap pour plus de tenu et de radicalité, et je les règle tout à l’arrière pour l’arrière, et à l’avant-dernier trou à l’avant. ça facilite le contrôle et permet plus de radicalité au surf, tout en permettant de soulager la planche pour un démarrage au planning plus précoce .
Pour en revenir aux sensations, cette planche peut tout faire, en fait, et pas que dans des conditions side-shore ! une vraie bonne surprise !
Elle passe tres bien dans le clapot, accélère fort, et tourne dans un mouchoir… Vous pouvez faire vos jibes et bottom-turn coucher à l’horizontale sans aucun risque de décrocher ! en surf, vos bottom-turn se conduiront sur le bout des pieds, tres précise, et vous pourrez envoyer du spray sur vos rollers bien verticaux; bref un régal !
Si le vent monte vraiment, il suffit de diminuer la taille des ailerons latéraux, ou de mettre des moins rigides pour avoir l’impression d’avoir une board plus petite, toujours bien contrôlable !
Les passage de mousse son vraiment easy sans aucun ralentissement de la planche.
Quand aux sauts, ce qui n’est pas conseillé avec un surf, mais si vous avez envie de vous satelliser, c’est un avion qui envoie bien haut, toujours contrôlable en l’air, permettant des réceptions tres douces.
Bref, vous l’aurez compris, cette LETHAL 5’9 est un régal dans toutes les conditions, et si vous n’avez qu’une board à emporter, ne réfléchissez pas, c’est celle-ci ! avec un mini quiver d’ailerons, vous pourrez sortir dans toutes les conditions, de 10 à 40 nd, voir plus… et quelque soit la taille des vagues et l’orientation du vent !

Ma 5’9 est enfin arrivée!! Super emballage sans risque de casse au déballage. Franchement la couleur mate est très sympa de l’avis de tous et donne mieux que sur le site Web. La finition n’a aucun défaut. Il ne restait plus qu’à l’essayer.
Deux sessions dans des conditions onshore pour 2 mètres de vagues, la première en 10 m² et la deuxième en 8 m². Mon gabarit est de 176 cm pour 72 kg et je ne fais pas de freestyle.
Très bonne première impression (et des planches de surf j’en ai essayé beaucoup).
Très bon départ au planning. On se sent tout de suite à l’aise malgré ses 23 litres. Elle reste facile d’accès. Le passage de mousse est facile, le pad tient bien aux pieds sans trop coller. La stabilité latérale est très bonne. Elle répond très bien au moindre appui, courbe longue ou serrée, tout passe !
My 5’9 is finally here !! Super packaging without risk of breakage when unpacking. Frankly the matte color is very cool in everyone’s opinion and looks better than on the website. The finish is flawless. All that was left was to try it out.

Very good start to the planning. You immediately feel at ease despite its 23 liters. It remains easy to access. The foam passage is easy, the pad holds well to the feet without sticking too much. The lateral stability is very good. It responds very well to the slightest pressure, long or tight curve, it can handle everything!
