The Catch is THE board for killing it in freestyle with a surfboard.
On the flat it’s a very nervous board, ideal for freestyle and riding upwind between two tricks. That’s its favourite playground.
With its large concave, it edges hard. You have your feet “in the board”, everything in control. You arrive quickly, without bouncing. Which gives it a phenomenal pop.
In the air it sticks to the feet. With its large surface and its contained weight, you place it in the wind from take-off and it holds against your stance. It’s perfect for working on tricks. And this large surface area allows you to stick landings without hesitation, in a loose way if necessary, as the board will accept rough foot placements without bouncing.
In the surf, the board is relatively staged. This means it has speed and impulse that are killer but its rocker will limit it in hollow waves. You can power surf with energy and an aerial style.

The shape of the Catch is rectangular to maximize downforce in the wind and optimize landings.
The nose is almost square for a maximum of lift on the water and in the air.
The large squash tail coupled with the big concave of the hull offer a monstrous pop.
The rocker is relaxed for a very stable board that starts planing very early.
The volume is minimal with very fine tips for control and unprecedented performance on the flat and in small waves.
The CATCH KITE FSP 2X are equipped with a high-end pad for maximum grip.
These boards are equipped with three FCS II boxes to insert and remove your favorite fins without tools.
The multiple straps inserts allow all adjustments from beginner to Pro.
You can also use your board for surfing, a leash plug will allow you to never lose it. Nothing is missing.
These boards are equipped with an innovative technology called FSP 2X for the best weight / strength / performance compromise on the market. The gain is significant since on average 15% lighter than the 2019 FSPs.
The addition of a biaxial fibre reinforces the board, so no concession has been made on the exemplary solidity of FSPs, on the contrary.
The PVC sandwich forms a 3mm hydrophobic shell over the entire board. This PVC sandwich offers the best dynamism while preserving strength, at an incredible weight.

The FSP 2X technology is easily repairable to new in case of dings. The PVC foam of the sandwich is waterproof and avoids water intake from everyday shocks. The EPS foam blank does not deteriorate because it’s well protected from water. And repairs have a much larger support to lean on and blend seamlessly with the surrounding material.
This technology offers, at an affordable price, the incomparable solidity/lightness ratio of the vacuum-assisted full PVC sandwich.
The Catch Kite is accessible for a light beginner by its ability to plane early and head upwind.
But it will reveal its full potential under the feet of a confirmed and energetic rider.
Freestyle is the program of choice for this nervous and aerial board.
But it also likes small waves for snappy turns and airs.
Ideal wave size: from almost nothing to shoulder-high.

The Catch Kite will work wonderfully with a Freewave that will maximize your performances in freestyle but also with a Unik in the light conditions.
You can complete the low range with a Catch Foil when the wind is really light.
When the wind is stronger, a Fatal or an Alu will allow you to be more radical.
The Catch Kite is mounted in tri-fin with FCSII boxes. You are free to assemble the set of fins of your choice. All FCSII fin models are available on our online site.
Riding strapless is sexy because you feel free. You’ll find the sensations of surfing and the mobility on the board to play with the waves. It’s a very pure style of riding but difficult to master.
With the straps, you are sure that your board will stay hooked to your feet, even in the most committed aerial maneuvers. You will have a lot more control and performance will be a step above.
It’s up to you to choose between feeling and performances. Put your straps in the central position (3rd hole) for the front, and the same goes for the rear strap.
If you want to be able to remove the rear foot for transitions and surfing, place the rear strap on the first hole.

Availability:
The dates of availability of all our products are written on each product page, in the size and colour of the product concerned.
These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.
We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

Pre-order:
Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.
Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.
The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.
However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.
As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.
It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:
We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.
Delays:
The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.
We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.
Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.
We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.
Shipping Fees:
Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.
Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.
The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.
For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Tracking of your parcels :
The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.
If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.
Delivery:
We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.
We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.
For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.
Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.
Reception of your Board:
Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.
But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

mdu –
J’ai pu tester pendant quelques jours la Catch 2022 en 5’0 dans un bon 20noeuds, plan d’eau houleux avec quelques bonnes vagues.
Pour mon gabarit (1m70 65kg) et avec un niveau avancé en strapless, personnellement, je n’ai pas accroché puisqu’elle était trop volumineuse pour mon niveau.
J’aime quand la planche se fait sentir légère, vive, comme la Lethal 5’6 (plus adapté à mon gabarit/niveau) et pour le coups je n’ai pas pu ressentir ça avec la Catch.
Après, c’est une question d’adaptation. Elle se navigue très bien, autant sur mon bon pied qu’en switch. Dans les turns, il faut plus forcer pour la faire tourner, notamment pour les tacks, et pour les jibes, pas plus de difficultés que ça à part plus appuyer sur le pied arrière. C’est une planche avec laquelle il ne faut pas hésiter à lui rentrer dedans notamment en surf.
Je n’ai pas l’habitude de naviguer avec une planche aussi carré, question de goût également 😉
En revanche, pour des personnes avec mon gabarit et avec un niveau plus débutant ou bien , pour du vent léger, cette planche est vraiment bien car avec son volume, elle sera plus tolérante sur les erreurs d’appuis et vous aidera dans les manoeuvres.
Son volume est pour moi plus handicapant, mais pour les copains, ils se régalent avec, autant en surf qu’en sauts, étant plus habitués à rider plus radical.

J’ai la CATCH en 5’4 et je la trouve très intuitive pour une première planche surf strapless. Je fais du surf depuis plusieurs années et je me suis mis au kite surf récemment.
Mon programme étant de surfer dans les vagues, ce shape est parfait pour moi car il allie facilité, stabilité (volume généreux, tail large) et maniabilité (montage en tri-fin), on peut donc commencer à faire des turns plus radicaux comme en surf shortboard. J’ai pas trop galéré sur mon mauvais côté (bête noire des surfeurs se mettant au kite … ) mais aussi mon prof de KITE était top ca aide énormément.
