The Alu kiteboard is the sharpened shape for ripping in onshore surf.



It planes early with a very present back foot that offers support for heading upwind and getting past the waves, but still remains a board dedicated to radical surfing.

The big plus of this board is its unbelievable dynamism. When riding onshore or in challenging conditions we often need more accelerations, heading and speed.

With its powerful tail, the Alu takes off immediately and delivers these three essential qualities for mobility on the water.

As soon as you attack in the waves, it reveals its strong shortboard character! With its nose and thin rails, it works very well in small and mushy conditions as well as on big punchy swells. It knows how to be radical in a lot of conditions.

In strapless we have a board that will love freestyle thanks to its important pop. The tail will once again work wonders. And with the surface of the board concentrated between your feet, you have a board that will naturally stick to the feet in the air. It’s very healthy.

Shape :

This new shape emphasizes performance in average conditions.

The rocker is a little more heavy on the back compared to a side shore surfboard, this combined with a wider tail and a fairly straight outline in the back third allows for a super early planing, heading and a very good high speed stability. This shape also makes it possible to handle bigger kite sizes and to hold steady in the gusty winds because the length of the submerged rail is greater than on a very round board. The edging is sharper and more constant.

The work on the hull is important to combine a strong grip on the edges and handling. We go from a very big concave in the center to a double concave at the tail which directs the board in addition to the fins. The nozzle effect coupled with the powerful tail boosts its performance!

Its thin nose is easy to direct in messy playing fields. It flies through choppy water without bouncing.

The rails are thin because overall the board is radical. They are 100% surf.

The length is standard to maintain maximum control with a significant portion of useful rail.


Equipments :

The ALU KITE FSP 2X are equipped with a high-end pad for maximum grip.

These boards are equipped with three FCSII boxes to insert and remove your favorite fins without tools.

The multiple straps inserts allow all adjustments from beginner to Pro.

You can also use your board for surfing, a leash plug will allow you to never lose it. Nothing is missing.


Construction :

These boards are equipped with an innovative technology called FSP 2X for the best weight / strength / performance compromise on the market. The gain is significant since on average 15% lighter than the 2019 FSPs.

The addition of a biaxial fibre reinforces the board, so no concession has been made on the exemplary solidity of FSPs, on the contrary.

The PVC sandwich forms a 3mm hydrophobic shell over the entire board. This PVC sandwich offers the best dynamism while preserving strength, at an incredible weight.

It is by designing a new finishing technique, as close as possible to our prototypes made in our French factory, that we have succeeded in saving weight. We work with tinted resins to avoid as much as possible the paint that loads the board unnecessarily. Paint integrated into the resin, your board is enhanced with nobility and durability.

  • Rocker: a nice surf rocker slightly less relaxed on the tail to avoid bouncing.
  • Rails: full and hard on the tail and round on the front.
  • Volume: the minimum for mad performance in small waves and onshore.

The FSP 2X technology is easily repairable to new in case of dings. The PVC foam of the sandwich is waterproof and avoids water intake from everyday shocks. The EPS foam blank does not deteriorate because it’s well protected from water. And repairs have a much larger support to lean on and blend seamlessly with the surrounding material.

This technology offers, at an affordable price, the incomparable solidity/lightness ratio of the vacuum-assisted full PVC sandwich.

From intermediate to pros : It’s not a complicated board. It’s just about having the right stance. No need to twist yourself to set the line or go upwind.

The intermediate rider will appreciate its natural glide coupled with its radical behavior in the waves. Mobility on the water is the key to fun in many sessions.

The pro will love its pure surfer DNA. In beautiful onshore waves as well as in messy choppy waves, the Alu Kite is incredibly efficient, including strapless freestyle.

What is it for ?

Surfing in onshore conditions, this is the main program of the Alu Kite for those who want to make the best of sub par conditions.

But it doesn’t mind a freestyle session under the feet of a good kiteboarder.

Ideal wave size: from almost nothing to big conditions.

Power: at its best in normal to hollow waves and doesn’t mind slashing the shorebreak.

Type: It can handle everything, even the choppy playing fields.

What’s the ideal kite ?

The Alu kiteboard will work wonderfully with a Freewave that will maximize your performances in freestyle, but also with a Unik in the lighter conditions.

Quiver partners ?

You can complete the low range with a Matata kiteboard or a Catch Foil when the wind is really light.

When the wind is stronger, more sideshore and the waves larger, a Lethal will allow you to be even more radical.

In lighter conditions, a Matata will be a great option for freeriding or surfing in mushy waves.

And in freestyle a Catch kite or a Fatal would be very complementary.

Which settings ?

The Alu kiteboard is mounted in Tri-fin with FCSII boxes. You are free to assemble the set of fins of your choice. All FCSII fin models are available on our website.

Strapped or strapless ?

Riding strapless is sexy because you feel free. You’ll find the sensations of surfing and the mobility on the board to play with the waves. It’s a very pure style of riding but difficult to master.

With the straps, you are sure that your board will stay hooked to your feet, even in the most committed aerial maneuvers. You will have a lot more control and performance will be a step above.

It’s up to you to choose between feeling and performances. Put your straps in the central position (3rd hole) for the front, and the same goes for the rear strap.

If you want to be able to remove the rear foot for transitions and surfing, place the rear strap on the first hole.

These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.

We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.

Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.

The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.

However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.

As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:

  1. All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
  2. The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.

We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.



The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.

We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.

Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.

We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.


Shipping Fees: 

Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.

The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.

For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

The second thing is to sell for less. Most of the pollution coming from a Board is in its use (the km driven to use it) and in the countless environmental damages you have to do to pay for it. Each euro spent is a sum of damage related to your life quite simply: eating, working hard etc… By reducing the price of our products, we significantly reduce your ecological footprint on this item.

For our shipments we use:

  • Flexi-Hex: ecological packaging of very high resistance.
  • Paper Craft Scotch Tape.
  • Final packaging made of high-end cardboard.

All this for:

  • Reusable and recyclable packaging.
  • An almost total reduction of single-use plastic.
  • Maximum protection and impact resistance thanks to the innovative design of Flexi-Hex honeycomb (35mm thick).


Tracking of your parcels :

The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.

If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.



We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.

We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.

For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.

Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.


Reception of your Board:

Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.

But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.



You can choose to return your products if:

  • You are not satisfied (14 days right of retraction).
  • You want to change an item.
  • You have refused your package.

j’ai reçu et essayé l’Alu 5’9 2020.
La finition est sublime.
    Le poids mesuré avec ailerons est de 3.4 kg (600 gr de moins que ma Lethal 5’9 PU), c’est beau et ça a l’air bien solide !
2 naves avec un bon 20 nœuds, rafales à 30 nœuds. L’autre avec un 16-25 nœuds les deux en 9m. Spot on de chez on.

La première impression c’est la facilité, la marge d’erreur est énorme. On se surprend à faire des transitions n’importe comment et ça passe !
La remonté au vent est fantastique, la planche est super confortable, ça ne tape pas dans le clapot. Il faut cependant l’utiliser avec le poids plus en arrière que sur la Lethal. Je me suis fait surprendre à me faire tasser vers l’avant quelques fois.

    En surf, le volume en plus ce sent bien dans les vagues molles. Ca aide bien. Cela permet de gagner en enchainement. C’est moins radical que la Lethal mais ça reste très maniable (toujours en chargeant un peu l’arrière).
On arrive dans les courbes rapides à prendre beaucoup d’angle c’est jouissif !

En bref c’est une vraie réussite à consommer sans modération. »


    I’ve received and tested the 5’9 2020 Alu.
The finish is sublime. The weight measured with fins is 3.4 kg (600 gr less than my Lethal 5’9 PU) it’s beautiful and it looks very solid!
2 sessions with it. 1 with a good 20 knots gusting to 30 knots. The other with a 16-25 knots both in 9m. Spot with on shore wind.

    The first impression is the ease, the margin of error is huge, you catch yourself doing transitions anyhow and it goes!
The upwind ride is fantastic, the Board is super comfortable, it doesn’t get faded the chop. however, you have to use it with the weight more on the back foot than on the Lethal. I’ve been caught being pushed forward a few times.
