Carving and high speeds.
This stabilizer is our best compromise between simplicity and performance.
With a versatile, but low speed oriented shape, this stabilizer covers a very wide range of uses in Surfing, SUP, Downwind and even Kiting and Winging.
Its outline clearly shows that it is designed for carving. With a curved leading edge, it falls easily into the trajectory.
Our attention was focused on the ratio of this Stab because we had to find the ideal balance between thin tips that help to change the trajectory, and large surface tips that calm the foil and stabilize it laterally. Our technical choice is really adapted to surfing but without affecting control.
The placement of the profile rope, which is very advanced, and gives an incredible hold at low speed. From the very first moments of flight, your Foil is efficient and stable. Wherever a very thin Stab would stall, the Surf Stab will lift. And this is also true when you hang up, because the profile will find a grip more quickly in case of piloting, ventilation or launch errors. This feature also gives it more power than other Stabs, allowing your Foil to fly sooner and with less energy.
Safety has been a priority on this Stab, which has a micro facet on the trailing edge to avoid being sharp. The tips are “squared off” and also have a protective facet in case of contact. Nevertheless, the utmost caution remains mandatory.
This is the original Allvator Surf Foil Stab with a 40 cm wingspan.
Very good skill level and/or weight less than 80kg.
Our wings are made of 90% Prepreg 3K carbon, with more than 15 layers of carbon fiber in total. High stress points such as the joints and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and glass for tolerance. Moulded at high pressure and high temperature on a foam core, our wings are practically indestructible. Both rigid and floating, they are the perfect balance between contained weight and infinite durability.
This technology has been tested and proven for over two years without any breakage on 10,000 ALLVATOR foil wings. In the event of a violent impact on a rock, you can easily repair them and they will be as good as new.
You will never see a GONG wing open on a leading edge because our unique draping technique crosses the layers of fibres. So there is no line of joint on our wings. The entire outline has overlapping gaps, just like the rails on your top of the range boards.
Please note that GONG is at the forefront of foil development. We have been at the forefront of the creation of the largest foil factory that produces the major brands today. 18 months of intense work and dozens of tools developed. So don’t imagine that our foils are made in a gloomy garage. We develop all our products according to the rules of the art, with state-of-the-art 3D software, countless tests, with a Team at the highest level. This is one of the reasons why we can offer low prices and clean products: we know what we are doing from A to Z.
