Our ultra high aspect stabs for maximum glide.

Introduction

The Veloce H Stab is the ultimate stab for all riders dreaming of going full throttle!

This is the magic stab for foilers looking for maximum speed and glide. When we talk about speed, we are obviously talking about top speed but also about the average speed of evolution over the spot.

The true high ratio of this stab will allow you to access higher speed ranges. This results in an ability to keep freeflying for longer, on longer and faster swells. A must have for downwinders!

This stab includes the rear part of the fuselage which is ultra streamlined to reduce drag by 3. It makes for a real Pro fuselage which frees up all the front wings of the range to make them gain 3 to 5 knots in top speed under the feet of a pro.

This slender back end of the fuselage is so efficient that it boosts handling by generating less drag. Its very small section next to the stab makes it much easier to drift and cut turns short.

The fillets connecting the fitting to the profile have been optimized for more glide. But they also prevent twisting for perfect rigidity.

Compatible only with the new Pro Fuselage to minimize weight and drag using a perfectly adjusted self-tightening trapezoidal fitting, and interchangeable without difficulty.

Don’t take it too small by thinking only of the wingspan: it’s a high ratio, so more wingspan for the same surface in a lower ratio 😉 It exists in tiny surfaces to get the extreme performance in crazy speeds or insane wave sections.

Perfect in tow-in, in kite, in wing for sending it, fast and strong, this stab is also great in pumping because it feels very light to the point of thinking of it at all. By using this stab, you will have the impression of removing your leash while surfing: the foil flies on its own, it’s crazy.

This stab is meant for the Pros. You have to know how to fit it perfectly into the flow to take advantage of its qualities.

It is not a powerful stab, quite the contrary. So we’re going to love it in downwinds on a wing or a kite foil for top speed or a very high average speed.

The Veloce H Stabs in sizes 36cm, 40cm, 44cm and 47cm will require finesse in handling and good physical condition on the part of the rider. Certainly the best profile to accompany your front wing Veloce H or your Ypra. We accelerate, we accelerate and we accelerate again, even in light winds. This glide specific to high ratio wings will delight all lovers of speed and endless surfing.

Choosing the right size

The small Veloce Pro Stabs are really small. They are therefore suitable for high speeds and very small front wings. Always keep a balance of surfaces between the two.

Large Veloce Pro Stabs tolerate lower speeds. But they remain intended for high performance.

The criteria of choice is therefore not only the size of the foiler.

Take the surface into consideration to make your choice, not the wingspan because it is a high ratio.

The small sizehas a wingspan of 36 cm, 140 cm2, 0.36 cm thick for a volume of 0.03 L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a very small stab for very good level foilers and light ones. Clearly dedicated to tow-in in very hollow waves.
  • In wing foiling, it’s very small but perfect for very good level riders who want to adopt extreme riding at high speed.
  • In kite foiling, it is an extreme stab for experienced riders who want a fast stab to match with a very small front wing.

The medium size has a wingspan of 40 cm, 175 cm2, 0.4 cm thick for a volume of 0.04 L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a small stab that will suit very good level foilers of average size.
  • In wing foiling, it’s perfect for very good level riders who want to adopt extreme high-speed riding with a decent low range.
  • In kite foiling, it is a small stab for riders who want a fast stab.

The large size has a wingspan of 44 cm, 210 cm2, 0.44 cm thick for a volume of 0.05L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a stab that will suit good level foilers of light to medium size in small waves.
  • In wing foiling, it’s perfect for good level riders who want to adopt extreme high speed riding with a decent low range.
  • In kite foiling, it’s perfect, very close to the Fast 40 in lift but more stable and faster.

The extra large size has a wingspan of 47 cm, 240 cm2, 0.47 cm thick for a volume of 0.06L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a large thin stab that will suit good level foilers in small waves or in dock start/beach start.
  • In wing foiling, it’s big but perfect for good level riders who want to adopt extreme high-speed riding in the light, or for strong riders who fly.
  • In kite foiling, it is stable and very fast.

Construction

Our Stabs H are made of 90% 3K and 12K Prepreg carbon, with a total of over 25 fiber layers on the profile, and many more in the fitting areas.

The highest ratios in our range also contain high module carbon which provides the essential mechanical rigidity to the proper functioning of these thin and large foils.

High stress points such as fittings and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and fiberglass for tolerance. It is indeed essential to place fibers responding to the different types of stress in addition to the carbon which will produce dynamism.

Molded at high pressure and high temperature on a foam core, our wings are almost indestructible.

It is the perfect balance between low weight and “infinite” durability/repairability.

Wing tips are a potential source of danger. We take care not to produce an intrinsically dangerous design, within the limits of efficient hydrodynamics. Likewise, the trailing edges are designed not to be dangerously sharp. We invite you to be extremely careful despite these precautions because these parts remain sharp and dangerous by nature. Stay away, wear the proper protections, and never sharpen them. Systematically repair the slightest hitch in the outline because it represents a danger for you and others if it were to cut your leash for example. In all situations, the greatest caution is required. If in doubt, abstain (waves, strong wind, etc.).

Your benefits are clear:

1. An efficient shape created by one of the leaders in the world of foiling.
2. A design at the cutting edge of R&D and ahead of its time.
3. Proven construction on thousands of foils.
4. Full Option finishing at a great price.
5. A light and solid foil with one of the best technos on the market!!!
6. An incredible price that can only be explained by our direct relationship with you.
7. Simple maintenance and easy repairs.

Shape
High ratio

The shape of the Veloce H Stabs is dedicated to speed in surfing, racing, and pumping. It offers an incredible feeling of glide and neutrality.

We find in this shape the DNA of the classic Veloce stabs which are all about speed. The slenderness of this stab gives it a lot of finesse by greatly reducing the chord and the thickness of the profile. As a result, performance is improved since you end up with a profile that drags much less water.

High ratio

The very slender outline of this stab gives it a lot of finesse by greatly reducing the chord and the thickness of the profile. Performance is significantly improved since much less drag is generated, without losing lift for a constant surface. We even gain a little since the profile will fly faster overall, speed being the source of lift.

Profile thickness

The profile is thin over its entire wingspan. With a slight concave in the intrado, it lifts really well in view of its extreme finesse. The tips are super thin.

The type of profile

The Veloce have a fairly full intrado to boost their speed. This intrado with a very slight hollow in the rear third allows incredible glide and reduces lift at high speed. We are in control at high speed because it lifts less and it does not tend to dive.

The leading edge is more “pointed” than on the other wings of the range to access a higher top speed. The feeling of acceleration is crazy.

The camber

The wing has a slight double camber with an almost constant downward curve which returns close to the horizontal near the tips. The hook is clear and very easy to feel, especially when you want to recover from a stall. The profile is further from the surface, especially in curves but with a moderate camber so as not to generate steering aberrations.

Max width

The placement of this lift point is constant throughout the range so as to always keep the same setting for the same behavior when changing wing size.

The fuselage

This stab is only compatible with our new Titanium or Aluminum Pro Fuselage. The tail of the stab in full carbon makes it possible to optimize the shape of this part of the foil to reduce its drag as well as its weight. The rear portion of the fuselage is included in this stab. It is ultra streamlined to reduce drag by 3. A real Pro fuselage which frees up all the front wings of the range to make them gain 3 to 5 knots in top speed under the feet of a pro.

This back fuselage is so efficient that it boosts handling by leaving less drag. Its very small section close to the stab makes it much easier to drift and close turns.

The fitting/profile connection fillets have been optimized for more glide. But they also prevent twisting for perfect rigidity.

The trapezoidal fitting system with the Pro fuselage ensures perfect firmness of the assembly without the need for counter-screws. The whole thing gives a very nice foil, lightrigid and devilishly efficient!

Carbon HM Stab Technology

High Module Carbon offers unparalleled rigidity, representing the pinnacle of performance in our most advanced wings and masts, which face the most demanding structural constraints.

By combining High Module with Intermediate Module, we offer the best performance at the best price.

The products have no flex, the fibers are oriented along multiple axes to lock in bending and torsion, ensuring maximum responsiveness.

Thanks to pre-impregnated fibers, we can guarantee optimal resin usage, providing perfect cohesion at the lightest possible weight.

Each layer of carbon is carefully hand-assembled around a high-density hydrophobic foam core, in a steel mold. A central stiffener is integrated to increase rigidity without compromising on lightness.

The mold is then subjected to high pressure and heated to 150°C to solidify the carbon. The foam core, seeking to expand under the heat, ensures even compression between the carbon layers, ensuring a strong and durable structure.

Durability and repairability are at the heart of our development philosophy. Our foils are tested and proven by dozens of team riders, hundreds of employees, and thousands of customers worldwide. Even in case of damage, our products can be repaired multiple times, ensuring exceptional longevity.

Buying guide

For whom?

It is a high ratio stab for very good level riders who want to reach maximum speed and have an incredible glide when surfing.

  • In surf foiling, you must have a very good level to tame this technical stab which offers little lift. Surprisingly simple at take off, it requires a good experience though to be managed in all the range of speeds due to the low lift of this high aspect ratio.
  • In wing foiling, you must have a good level to take off early with this technical stab and master the higher speed of the foil. In small sizes it is an extreme stab which offers a very high top speed of which only you set the limit ?
  • In kite foiling, ditto, you must have a good level to accept and master the higher speed of the foil and the superior technicality of these high aspect stabs.

In summary, you need a good technical background to take advantage of these stabs. The small sizes are obviously more complicated to manage than the very large ones which will be almost accessible.

What for?

These stabs are clearly to go faster and be controlled at high speeds.

With a profile dedicated to higher speeds, it is the fastest high ratio in the range.

  • In surf foiling, it is clearly the ultimate stab to return to peak in lightning speed with a neutral stab that is completely forgotten.
  • In wing foiling, it is a stab to set record speeds, which offers a fast drive and which likes powerful curves. A pro will love it in surfing and DW.
  • In kite foiling, the turbo is assured.

Which size?

The small size has a wingspan of 36 cm, 140 cm2, 0.36 cm thick for a volume of 0.03 L.

  • En surf foiling : less than 65kg in powerful waves and/or towin in fat conditions.
  • In wing foiling: less than 65kg or very good level and/or strong wind. It’s tiny.
  • In kite foiling: it is very small so speed oriented with a small front wing.

The medium size has a wingspan of 40 cm, 175 cm2, 0.4 cm thick for a volume of 0.04L.

  • In surf foiling: less than 65kg in powerful waves and/or in tow-in in fat conditions.
  • In wing foiling: less than 65kg or very good level and/or strong wind. It’s minimalist ?
  • In kite foiling: it is small so speed oriented with a small front wing.

The large size has a wingspan of 44 cm, 210 cm2, 0.44 cm thick for a volume of 0.05L.

  • In surf foiling: less than 75kg in powerful waves and more than 85kg in size or tow-in.
  • In wing foiling: less than 75kg or good level and steady wind.
  • In kite foiling: perfect in a maximum of conditions for all sizes.

The extra large sizehas a wingspan of 47 cm, 240 cm2, 0.47 cm thick for a volume of 0.06L.

  • In surf foiling: from 80 to 110kg in normal waves.
  • In wing foiling: less than 95kg or good level and steady wind.
  • In kite foiling: very stable but fast for all sizes.

In pumping for dock start or beach start, we recommend these very technical stabs as follows:

  • The 36cm and 40cm : ultra neutral, very little or no lift, so very technical. Maximum speed on the other hand.
  • The 44cm : Less than 85kg.
  • The 47cm : Above 85kg.

In DW, we tend to think that the smallest is the most efficient. Only to some extent, especially with this high ratio stab which offers little surface for a minimum of drag.

Which quiver?

The Veloce H Stab is ideal with technical boards with noble constructions such as the FSP PRO boards.

Positioning of the foil?

For beginners on GONG foils, place the plate in the rear third for surfing, SUP and kite, and in the middle of the US rails for wing foiling.

The further you move it, the more it pitches the board up. The more you move it back, the more the nose of the board dives.

With these high ratio stabs, we will probably have to move it forward as they carry very little. Do not put it too much forward eather, it would generate a weird feel and would in fact be a sign that your stab is too small. This could induce whistling of the foil despite a perfect trailing edge.

Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend to forget to use the back foot, especially when we have a kite foil background. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.
