Description

Program

Our easy high ratio stabs delivering high performance.

Introduction

The Fluid H Stab is made for more speed and as much lift.

The high ratio version of the Fluid Stabs allows access to higher speed ranges without compromising what makes the magic of Fluid Stabs: perfect glide and radical curves.

The shape of its intrado is very concave to maintain a strong lift which helps on takeoff and in all low speed situations. The feeling is stable and firm despite the high ratio.

The outline is thinner at the tips to allow a perfect rail to rail. Hardcore turns or big curves, this stab is perfect in maneuverability. To try it is to marry it 😉

Once your foil is launched, this stab provides a sensational glide that allows you to hover endlessly. A pro is 3 to 5 knots faster in wing or kite foiling than with the classic version of the stab on the Alu V2 Fuselage.

This stab includes the rear part of the fuselage which is ultra streamlined to reduce drag by 3. This fuselage design frees up all the front wings of the range.

This slender back end of the fuselage is so efficient that it boosts handling by generating less drag. Its very small section next to the stab makes it much easier to drift and cut turns short.

The fillets connecting the fitting to the profile have been optimized for more glide. But they also prevent twisting for perfect rigidity.

Compatible only with the New Pro Fuselage to minimize weight and drag using a perfectly adjusted self-tightening trapezoidal fitting, and interchangeable without difficulty.

Associated with the Fluid-H front wing, the foil flies in tempo with more consistent swells and allows infinite downwinds while gliding. It is also the easiest high ratio stab to pair with all our front wings. The balance is found quite naturally and the gain in speed and maneuverability is stunning.

Fluid H Stabs in sizes 38cm, 42cm, 45cm, 47cm, 49cm and 52cm offer a very high level of performance. This glide specific to high ratio wings will delight all lovers of speed and endless surfing.

Choosing the right size

The Fluid H Pro Stabs are quite accessible despite their high ratio. Choose the size you usually like from GONG.

Always adjust the size of the stab to the size of the front wing for a balanced flight.

The 38cm wingspan is 180 cm2, 0.5 cm thick for a volume of 0.04L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a small stab for very good foilers and light ones.
  • In wing foiling, it’s small but perfect for very good level riders who want to adopt extreme riding at high speed.
  • In kite foiling, it is a key stab for experienced riders who want a fast stab.

The 42cm wingspan is 220 cm2, 0.5 cm thick for a volume of 0.06L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a stab that will suit good level foilers of average size.
  • In wing foiling, it’s perfect for very good level riders who want to adopt extreme high-speed riding with a decent low range.
  • In kite foiling, it is a great stab for strong riders who want a fast and maneuverable stab.

The 45cm wingspan is 260 cm2, 0.6 cm thick for a volume of 0.07L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a large stab that will suit good level foilers of average size in small waves.
  • In wing foiling, it is perfect for good level riders who want to adopt an extreme high speed ride with a good low range.
  • In kite foil, it’s big.

The 47cm wingspan is 290 cm², 0.6 cm thick for a volume of 0.09L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a large stab which will suit big foilers of a good level in small waves.
  • In wing foiling, it’s perfect for big riders of a good level who want a high-speed drive with a very good low range.
  • In kite foil, it’s really too big.

The 49 cm wingspan is 310 cm2, 0,7cm thickness with a volume of 0,11L. It has more angle than its little brothers and less aspect ratio for more lift.

  • In surf foiling, it is a large stab that adapts perfectly to large/giant front wings, great for big riders or someone of an average size who wants more lift when pumping.
  • In wing foiling, it’s perfect for bigger riders of a good level who want a stab that lifts in light wind conditions, while accepting high speeds.
  • In kite foiling, it’s always too big.

The 52 cm wingspan is 360 cm2, 0,8cm thickness with a volume of 0,14L.

  • In surf foiling: it’s very big, for big riders only with a big/giant front wing, great for pumping with low cadence.
  • In wing foiling: easy for the bigger riders and/or perfect in very light conditions with a very bif  front wing.

Understanding their shapes

The shape of the Fluid H Stabs is dedicated to gliding with finesse and at high speed.

The slenderness of this stab gives it a lot of finesse by greatly reducing the chord and the thickness of the profile. As a result, performance is improved since you end up with a profile that drags much less water.

High ratio

The very slender outline of this stab gives it a lot of finesse by greatly reducing the chord and the thickness of the profile. Performance is significantly improved since much less drag is generated, without losing lift at a constant surface. We even gain a little since the profile will fly faster overall, speed being the source of lift.

The outline

Its very oval shape reduces the surface of the tips to promote rail to rail and therefore boost maneuverability.

Profile thickness

The profile is thin over its entire wingspan. With a strong concave in the intrado, it lifts really well in view of its extreme finesse. The tips are super thin.

The type of profile

The Fluid H have a hollow intrado to boost their lift. This intrado with an important hollow in the rear third gives a significant lift at all speeds. We take off early because it lifts more and it does not tend to dive.

The leading edge is “sharper” than on the other stabs in the range to access a higher top speed. The feeling of acceleration is crazy.

The camber

This stab has a slight negative camber with an almost constant downward curve that lowers the tips for less ventilation. Hooking is clear and very easy to feel, especially when you want to recover from a stall. The profile is further from the surface, especially in curves but with a moderate camber so as not to generate steering aberrations.

Max width

The placement of this lift point is constant throughout the range so as to always keep the same setting for the same behavior when changing wing size.

The fuselage

This stab is only compatible with our new Titanium or Aluminum Pro Fuselage. The tail of the stab in full carbon makes it possible to optimize the shape of this part of the foil to reduce its drag as well as its weight. The rear portion of the fuselage is included in this stab. It is ultra streamlined to reduce drag by 3. A real Pro fuselage which frees up all the front wings of the range to make them gain 3 to 5 knots in top speed under the feet of a pro.

This back end of the fuselage is so efficient that it boosts handling by generating less drag. Its very small section next to the stab makes it much easier to drift and cut turns short.

The fitting/profile connection fillets have been optimized for more glide. But they also ensure the blocking of twisting for perfect rigidity.

The trapezoidal interlocking system with the Pro fuselage ensures perfect firmness of the assembly without the need for counter-screws. The whole thing gives a very nice foil, light, rigid and devilishly efficient!

Construction

Our Stabs Fluid H are made of 90% 3K and 12K Prepreg carbon, with a total of over 25 fiber layers on the profile, and many more in the fitting areas.

The highest ratios in our range also contain high module carbon which provides the essential mechanical rigidity to the proper functioning of these thin and large foils.

High stress points such as fittings and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and fiberglass for tolerance. It is indeed essential to place fibers responding to the different types of stress in addition to the carbon which will produce dynamism.

Molded at high pressure and high temperature on a foam core, our wings are almost indestructible.

It is the perfect balance between low weight and “infinite” durability/repairability.

Wing tips are a potential source of danger. We take care not to produce an intrinsically dangerous design, within the limits of efficient hydrodynamics. Likewise, the trailing edges are designed not to be dangerously sharp. We invite you to be extremely careful despite these precautions because these parts remain sharp and dangerous by nature. Stay away, wear the proper protections, and never sharpen them. Systematically repair the slightest hitch in the outline because it represents a danger for you and others if it were to cut your leash for example. In all situations, the greatest caution is required. If in doubt, abstain (waves, strong wind, etc.).

Your benefits are clear:

1. An efficient shape created by one of the leaders in the world of foiling.
2. A design at the cutting edge of R&D and ahead of its time.
3. Proven construction on thousands of foils.
4. Full Option finishing at a great price.
5. A light and solid foil with one of the best technos on the market!!!
6. An incredible price that can only be explained by our direct relationship with you.
7. Simple maintenance and easy repairs.

This technology has been tested and proven for more than three years without any breakage on 30,000 ALLVATOR foil wings. In the event of a violent impact on a rock, you can easily repair them and they will be as good as new.

You will never see a GONG front wing open on a leading edge because our unique layup technique crosses the layers of fibers. Thus there is no joint plan on our wings. The whole outline has overlapping lapses, like the rails of your high-end boards.

This foil is completely dismountable to adapt to all sports at a lower cost and give you the possibility of replacing a damaged part. A complete catalog of spare parts is available, to allow you to make it compatible with multiple supports (Surf / SUP / Kite / Wing), and to explore the entire range of use of the foil in each sport and at all levels.

Our R&D as well as our Quality Control guarantee you products of the highest quality. Firstly because our engineers based in South Brittany, France, are the first users. Their passion for our sports coupled with their qualifications have enabled us to create a unique research center in the world.

Our position as world leader in foiling is no coincidence. Our 3D simulations, our countless technical and technological prototyping, our state-of-the-art tools, our 100% GONG factory, our tests with the Pro Team which is among the most efficient, the thousands of feedback from our customers and our Ambassadors, and a ultra involved shaper designer: these are the key elements among many others that allow us to manufacture exceptional foils.

Several years ago, we were at the origin of the creation of the first foil factory in Asia, which today produces the “prestige” brands. 18 months of intense work and dozens of tools developed. Three years ago, we launched a new 100% GONG factory which allows us to produce more parts and keep our developments and technologies secret, to offer you the best of foils.

We want to offer low prices without ever cutting corners on quality, and refined products without ever diminishing performance in each program: we know what we are doing from A to Z. We do not sell foils designed by a freelancer, we do not do not sell marketing concepts. We do thorough, serious and innovative work to create efficient and solid foils at an unbeatable price.

Buying guide

For whom ?

It is a high ratio stab for very good level riders who want to reach maximum speed and have an incredible glide in surfing, while remaining on a stab with lift and ease of use.

  • In surf foiling, you must have a good level to get the best out of this stab, but it is easy. Surprisingly easy to take off, but requires a good technical background to ride it through the entire speed range with its fast high ratio. The lift is present and the maneuverability is great.
  • In wing foiling, we take off early with this fairly simple stab. It propels you to the higher speed of the foil in an instant, which you have to be up to. And in freestyle as in surfing, it is unbeatable. Just magic.
  • In kite foiling, it is a simple and ultra-efficient stab, especially in surfing or tricks.

In summary, you need a good technical background to take full advantage of this stab but it is within the reach of all experienced practitioners. This is especially true in larger sizes.

What for?

These stabs are designed to help you gain in all performance registers: maneuverability and speed.

Which quiver?

The Fluid H Stab is ideal with technical boards with noble constructions such as the FSP PRO boards.

Positioning of the foil?

For beginners on GONG foils, place the plate in the rear third for surfing, SUP and kite, and in the middle of the US rails for wing foiling.

The further you move it, the more it pitches the board up. The more you move it back, the more the nose of the board dives.

With these high ratio stabs, we will probably have to move it forward as they carry very little. Do not put it too much forward eather, it would generate a weird feel and would in fact be a sign that your stab is too small. This could induce whistling of the foil despite a perfect trailing edge.

Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend to forget to use the back foot, especially when we have a kite foil background. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.

Shipping

Availability:

The dates of availability of all our products are written on each product page, in the size and colour of the product concerned.

These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.

We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

If it’s available online: it’s available ?

Pre-order:

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.

Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.

The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.

However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.

As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:

  1. All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
  2. The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.

We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.

Delays:

The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.

We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.

Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.

We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.

Shipping Fees:

Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.

The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.

For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Any questions:

We answer you within 24 hours by email. But 95% of your questions are answered on the site. Try to use our contact form which will guide you to all these answers.

Don’t forget to read the Forum, where thousands of users exchange information and experiences.

In any case, don’t panic. If you don’t get an answer during the weekend, it’s normal: the team is resting ?

We are passionate and professional in our job. Our only goal is to make you happy, as much as possible ?

Eco-responsible packaging:

Preserving the environment is a top priority. That’s why we are doing everything possible to reduce our environmental footprint.

The first thing is to sell quality products that will last, be repairable and will please you for a long time.

The second thing is to sell for less. Most of the pollution coming from a Board is in its use (the km driven to use it) and in the countless environmental damages you have to do to pay for it. Each euro spent is a sum of damage related to your life quite simply: eating, working hard etc… By reducing the price of our products, we significantly reduce your ecological footprint on this item.

For our shipments we use:

  • Flexi-Hex: ecological packaging of very high resistance.
  • Paper Craft Scotch Tape.
  • Final packaging made of high-end cardboard.

All this for:

  • Reusable and recyclable packaging.
  • An almost total reduction of single-use plastic.
  • Maximum protection and impact resistance thanks to the innovative design of Flexi-Hex honeycomb (35mm thick).

Tracking of your stab :

The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.

If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.

Delivery:

We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.

We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.

For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.

Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.

Reception of your wing:

Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.

But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

Returns:

You can choose to return your products if:

  • You are not satisfied (14 days right of retraction).
  • You want to change an item.
  • You have refused your package.

For each situation, contact us by our contact form to help you.

    What an amazing week!
    Dock start, surfoil, kitefoil ?
I tried the Fluid H GONG Galaxy ! Honestly, got a bit scared looking at how sharp it is. But, hey, no risk no gain ??
I rode the thing using my Unik 5m in 15-18 knots, carbone mast 85 as always, and Fluid M that I love. Slightly slower than the ST, but I can ride underpowered, and that’s what I like. I’m 95kg and using a 110cm board, waiting for a smaller board from Patrice Guénolé for dock and kitefoil ?
    So, the stab:
I finally feel some back foot pressure! Actually had to readjust my balance, and maybe I’ll even push the mast a little further. I used to ride the fast 40, and it was still simply too big for me. This is another level! Zero break at the back, and it turns very well! I was a bit concerned looking at the ratio, but no, the rail to rail is great.
Can’t wait to try it in bigger waves!

So I’ve had my Pro Fluid 102, 1200 H- LH and pro fluid 38 stab for about 5 sessions now, love the glide and pump and am getting used to the way the combo reacts under foot, still struggling to get more than 70% of my gybes and have not attempted tacks on this set up yet. More time on water needed but I can tell this is my go to downwind set up.
Married the Pro Fluid Stab with a Curve Pro Clear 1500 XLS, that really surprised me, added glide and pump and a little manuverability with no significant loss of stability. I loved it for light wind days. Gybes no worries, tacks easy enough but slowish.
Then I tried the Fluid L 81 with the Pro Fluid 38 stab, just wow! This is my favourite combo yet, easy to change direction, ride waves ? much more pump n glide and very stable, predictable and pretty fast, not pushed it but easy 20kts on 1st run in 18knots. Gybes easy, tacks fast ?The perfect, so far, all rounder. Where to next I wonder? ??????

  9. Cedric

  10. Jacok

Just wanted to share with you my first experience with the Fluid H 42 stab combined with a Curve XL.
Due to really low wind I chose it over the Fluid L-H and loved it right from the beginning.
It really spices it up compared to the Curve 43 stab (my beginner combo). Much livelier, faster while keeping the comforty/cruisy feel and perfect for really low wind. Takes off just as easy and early as with the old 43 stab.
So I’m definitely keeping my Curve XL in addition to the Fluid L-H!
Thanks for the awesome products, really keeping it compatible and upgradable ?

  11. Manta Man

  13. Dave Kurtz

I agree that the new HA stabilizers are a nice improvement to any of the non-HA front wings. But I think they really provide the most noticeable improvement to the “Tall” version of the Fluid and Veloce wings. I use the Fluid H42 stab with the Fluid LT and the Veloce LT. Perfect combination

  14. Warrick Smith

HA stabs with regular wings – what’s the difference?
I had been riding a Curve XLT with my 97kg, and the regular Fluid L stab. I recently bought the Fluid HA45 stab and was very interested to try it with the Curve XLT.
Firstly, the launch is easy. With the same effort, I generate more pumping movement into the foil – and so I fly really early – perhaps earlier? Hard to tell, but it definitely remains easy. The most interesting change is that the weight distribution between front and back foot only changes slightly as the speed increases. I was actually diving a little bit at speed before I understood it.
Once I figured it out I liked it a LOT. The Curve XLT definitely rides faster with this stab, and it is more fun! I rode it with the 2023 Superpower 6m, and when you bear off with that wing, you can accelerate a lot. Before, it felt possible to overpower the Curve. Now, I have more control and comfort at speed, because I remain more balanced between front and back foot pressure. The average speed goes up with no stress – really this means more glide – and you get more performance from the foil.
I start to understand that the front wings are like a person’s body, and the stabs are like the clothes they wear… For example, the Rise stab is like a winter coat – it will keep you warm and safe guaranteed, but you can only see some hints of what is underneath. The HA stabs are like lycra – same body, but now you can see everything, full flavour! And so the Curve – supereasy launch, great low speed performance, tight carves, all this remains… but with HA stabs, the speed is up, the response is up, the glide is up and the enjoyment is up because you can lean on the carves harder – you enter faster and you lose less energy during each carve. So it’s Curve with full flavour.
I can also launch my Fluid XLT in similar wind to the Curve XLT with this stab, but with a little more precision required in the pumping… so I was wondering if I should sell the Curve, but after the sessions with the HA stab, I understand that It makes an awesome chilled out set-up. I like it for evening cruises in light wind, when I want a super easy launch, to cruise effortlessly in the light and play in the carves with the character of the Curve without too much concentration – it’s great.
Wingfoil is like a unique combination of extreme sport + yoga, and the Curve XLT + Fluid HA45 stab is more on the yoga side – relaxing, pure, brings peace. Very cool. If you want to be convinced about the benefits of HA before you invest in a front wing, take this stab with your normal wing. It’s a fantastic upgrade and it pumps great too.

  15. Warrick

I also tried the HA Fluid stab with the Curve XLT and it really works, again unlocking more performance with a stab.
And then I realise an interesting note about progression – I already understood that stabs can be a stepping stone in between front wings… but now I realise that foils can be a sort of stepping stone between wings… For example, when I took the Fluid XLT with the Fluid HA45 stab, I needed to refine my pumping technique to get up.

Encore une super session Dockstart ! ?
Fluid XXLH + Stab fluid H42 + 85CM Carbon mast + DIY Dockstart board !

  19. Dave Kurtz

I have the same Fluid LT/Fluid H 42cm combination and really love it. Very well balanced; fast, very agile, reasonable glide and reasonably low stall speed.
I still like the Veloce LT/Fluid H 42cm for a bit of extra glide and pumping capability.
The Fluid LT and Veloce LT are my two favorite Gong front wings

  20. Filippo Petraroli

The name of this stab fluid H is wrong…the right name of this stab could be: superglide . Impressive.

Primo test stab fluid H 42 (front fluid LT).

  25. Dave Kurtz

Winging with the new Pro Fluid H 42cm stab mated to the Fluid LT and 85cm V2 carbon mast. Great combination! I’ve always been a Veloce LT person, but the Fluid LT adds another dimension, even for this strapless, limited repertoire “ole timer”…… (I use the Fluid H 45cm stab with my Veloce XXL in very light winds. Another great combination?)

  26. Flavien Hilaire

  27. Romain Jean

Test nouveau fuselage + stab fluid 42h.

    I love it

  34. Valentin Mercier

Au take off, aucun changement par rapport à mon ancien set-up, aussi simple même.
En surf, c’est fluiiddd? ça glisse vraiment mieux?
    Sorti de vagues sans soucis.
Le pumping commence et là ! Magique !

  38. Fabien
