Near to high ratio wings: radical and manoeuvrable like the Fluid but even faster

Introduction

With its high ratio, the T version gives the Fluid that extra speed that the pros love.

But beyond the ratio, it’s all its glide that has been boosted by a reduced thickness throughout the profile.

If you’re keen on curves but want to take it up a notch, the Fluid-T is just what you need.

We have designed this new model as the perfect answer to those who want the glide qualities of the very high ratio, but without sacrificing tolerance in curves and tricks.

The result is a fabulous wing for its versatility in a very high performance register.

Its slim profile offers a tremendous horsepower you just need to activate. In surfing as in wing foiling, you immediately feel an unrestrained glide. As soon as you take off, you are surprised by the acceleration capacity. It is even more obvious in large sizes, as in light wing foiling conditions for instance, where we associate lift, handling and top speed !!! But also in tricks, you just need to see how our team rider Malo is handling an XXL-T with its 67kg to understand the incredible performance gain on large sizes. He slides on a half wing without stalling and connects alley oops with a mind boggling ease of glide.

The hollow under the trailing edge of the intrado of the profile boosts its lift without affecting its top speed. And the very smooth leading edge is reassuring at low speeds. It’s a pumping monster, able to take you further than ever before, without stalling at the slightest misstep, as shown by Malo in this video, connecting waves for 37 straight minutes on the Fluid XXL-T. It speaks volumes!!!

The specific Fluid outline is here stretched for more speed but it retains this gentle decrease in surface area towards the tips for a hyper intuitive and progressive rail to rail. This wing is really “curves” oriented. Carving is just crazy on this wing.

Its close to zero camber allows the craziest beach starts as Malo shows in each session. You can really launch in almost no water without hitting the bottom because the shape of the wing isn’t curved. No, the Fluid is flat and perfect for skimming !!!

With its lightning top speed, each action is boosted. The driving is as radical as you want and you alone set the limit. You can tighten the curves or go full throttle. And the more it accelerates the more it lifts and asks for more.

The Fluid-T really is the limitless front wing in surfing and tricks.

To fully understand the range : The Fluid-T have a high ratio and a very fast profile.

The size named T is on the contrary a high ratio version of the Fluid: even more speed because the outline is stretched in its wingspan, but also more speed because the thickness of the profile is reduced. The Fluid T range retains its maneuverability and lift at low speed, but is more aggressive to satisfy the experts.

Understand each wing in detail

The S-T has a 65 cm wingspan, 700 cm2, 0,9 cm thick for a volume of 0,3L.

    • In surf foil, it’s very small. Perfect for tow-in or in punchy waves.
    • In wing it’s small. Pro riders only when the wind is nuking or for racing.
    • In kite foil, it’s a radical wing for the best top speed, without losing in handling

The M-T has a 75 cm wingspan, 950 cm2, 1,2 cm thick for a volume of 0,6L.

  • In surf foil, it’s a small wing for good level foilers, the lightweight or tow-in. It is very stable and the speed is insane.
  • In wing it’s small but perfect for a good level and lightweight rider who wants to carve at high speed and jump high. But also for fit riders.
  • In kite foil, it is a key wing for a large number of riders looking for speed and stability.

The L-T has a 85 cm wingspan, 1250 cm2, 1,4 cm thick for a volume of 0,9L.

  • In surf foil, it is suitable for medium sized riders who want a large wing that is fast and maneuverable. The pumping / handling compromise is ideal for fit foilers.
  • In wing this is perfect for a good level rider who wants to carve, go fast, jump, do DWs, with a decent low range and flight stability.
  • In kite foil, it’s really, really big. Only for underpowered light wind sessions.

The XL-T has a 95 cm wingspan, 1550 cm2, 1,6 cm thick for a volume of 1,3L.

  • In surf foil, it’s a very large wing which is suitable for lightweight people who want a very fast performance wing to connect a lot of waves on the small days, or for big guys who want a fast and very maneuverable wing. The pumping / handling compromise is great for strong and energetic foilers.
  • In wing it’s perfect for a rider who wants to combine speed and lift. The mix of the two is just amazing, and it’s still super manoeuvrable.
  • In kite foil : to forget, it’s too big.

The XXL-T has a 105 cm wingspan, 1950 cm2, 1,8 cm thick for a volume of 1,8L.

  • In surf foil, it’s a very, very tall, slender wing and a pumping machine. It’s a super efficient wing in surfing due to its great finesse, and it is a treat in very soft waves. The benchmark for beachstarts !!! with its close to zero camber and incredible lift. And it remains manoeuvrable, especially when you see the multiple alley oops Malo can do on one wave.
  • In wing this size is very big. Great in light wind because it goes relatively quickly.
  • In kite foil : It’s too big.

Understand their shapes

The best mix of speed and maneuverability for a smooth and radical ride.

A round general outline, fine tips, and a concentrated volume make this wing a machine for curves. With its high ratio and moderate thickness, the Fluid score is strong in top speed. To top it off, its close to zero camber gives it that sharpness we love when riding.

The magical distribution of the surface on this very smooth outline maximizes passage from one rail to another. And the small tip surface gives a lot of control at high speed. We’re in control, so we’re going big!

Our shaper, Patrice Guénolé, exacerbated the characters in each size to get the most out of each range of use. Small wings are therefore suitable for high speeds and large ones at lower speeds. The criterion of choice is therefore not only the size of the foiler.

Safety issue, the ends have an almost flat and thick face to limit the risk of injury. Ideal for performance would be a sharp shape. We refuse to do this. The peak vortex is therefore slightly higher but it is better to have a wing that flies at 25 knots instead of 27 knots but which does not pierce your stomach if you fall on it. The shape of the tips of the Fluid is not sharp but it’s thinner than on the other wings in the surf range. We draw your attention to this point because without being sharp, they represent a real danger for you and others in the event of a collision. You must do everything possible to avoid having an accident, of which you are responsible and probably the victim.

Construction

Our wings are made of 90% Prepreg 3K carbon, with over 15 layers of fiber in total. High stress points like joints and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and with glass for tolerance. High pressure and high temperature molded on a foam core, our wings are virtually indestructible. Both rigid and floating, they‘re the perfect balance between low weight and infinite durability.

All of our wings and stabs have soft “tips”. Their ends are rounded and voluminous to limit the danger. We invite you to exercise the utmost caution nonetheless. Likewise, the trailing edges are blunt so as not to be sharp.

Note: These wings are only compatible with the Allvator Surf/SUP V1 and V2 fuselage.

Your benefits are clear:

1. An efficient shape created by one of the leaders in the world of foiling.
2. A design at the cutting edge of R&D and ahead of its time.
3. Proven construction on thousands of foils.
4. Full Option finishing at a great price.
5. A light and solid foil with one of the best technos on the market!!!
6. An incredible price that can only be explained by our direct relationship with you.
7. Simple maintenance and easy repairs because we have all components in stock.

Innovation is at the core of our products

Our wings are made of 90% Prepreg 3K carbon, with more than 15 layers of carbon fiber in total. High tension points such as the joints and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and glass for tolerance. Moulded at high pressure and high temperature on a foam core, our wings are practically indestructible. Both rigid and floating, they are the perfect balance between contained weight and infinite durability.

This technology has been tested and proven for over three years without any breakage on 30,000 ALLVATOR foil wings. In the event of a violent impact on a rock, you can easily repair them and they will be as good as new.

You will never see a GONG wing open on a leading edge because our unique draping technique crosses the layers of fibres. So there is no parting line on our wings. The entire outline has overlapping gaps, just like the rails on your top of the range boards.

This foil is completely dismountable to adapt to all sports at a lower cost and give you the possibility of replacing a damaged part. A complete catalog of spare parts is available, to allow you to make it compatible with multiple supports (Surf / SUP / Kite / Wing), and to explore the entire range of use of the foil in each sport and at all levels.

Please note that GONG is at the forefront of foil development. We have been at the origin of the creation of the biggest foil factory that produces the major brands today. 18 months of intense work and dozens of tools developed. So don’t imagine that our foils are made in a gloomy garage. We develop all our products according to the rules of the art, with many internal engineers, with state-of-the-art 3D software, countless tests, with a Team at the highest level. That’s one of the reasons why we can offer low prices and refined products: we know what we’re doing from A to Z. We do not sell freelance designed foils. Our teams are at work year round and dedicated to the development of our products.

Buying guide

For whom?

It takes a good level to appreciate it. It’s not a difficult wing, quite the contrary. But it’s a wing that requires commitment to get to its highest level of performance. A technical background is required.

  • In surf foil, you must have an intermediate level because this foil is not as tolerant at low speed as beginner foils like the Rise or the X-over are. With this minimum level and more, you will have a blast.
  • In wing, the Fluid is close to the Grail. If you have the level to fly with thin wings, therefore a very efficient pumping, it will propel you into another dimension.
  • In kite foil, the Fluid can be your beginner’s wing, provided you have good knowledge of gliding. It is nevertheless recommended to the experienced to get the most out of it.

For what?

Radical and limitless drive, on the border between surfing and freestyle.

Its top speed allows it to excel in race with an exceptional performance in low range in particular.

  • In surf foil, it’s really great with a natural glide that generates lift and record handling. You can alternate between super tight curves and incredible acceleration.
  • In wing, it is the most radical wing in surf and freestyle riding. It goes fast and is great for tricks. In surfing it feels like velvet as the name suggests.
  • In kite foil, the Fluid goes fast and connects the curves. The more you ask for it, the more it speeds up and into the curves. Best of all, it’s a gem in tricks. It’s all up to you.

You will use a larger foil in low ranges, soft conditions. And conversely a smaller foil in those recommended for muscular conditions. The important thing to remember is that the choice of your wing depends on your size which requires lift and your average speed which generates lift.

When pumping from dock start or beach start, we recommend the wings as follows:

  • Below L-T: to forget. It’s not useful.
  • The XL-T: less than 85 kg
  • The XXL-T: all sizes.

In DW, we tend to think that the bigger front wing is the more efficient. With some moderation though, but yes that is often the rule.

Quiver partners ?

The Fluid foil is ideal with all the perf boards.

Positioning of the foil ?

For the GONG foils, place the top plate at the rear third of the US rails for surf, SUP and kite. Place it in the middle of the US rails when using it with a wing foil.

The more you move it forward, the more it makes the board pitch up. The further you move it backwards, the more the nose of the board dives.

Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend to forget to use the back foot, especially when we have a kite foil background. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.

Shipping

Availability:

The dates of availability of all our products are written on each product page, in the size and colour of the product concerned.

These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.

We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

If it’s available online: it’s available 😉

Pre-order:

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.

Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.

The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.

However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.

As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:

  1. All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
  2. The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.

We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.

Delays:

The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.

We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.

Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.

We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.

Shipping Fees:

Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.

The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.

For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Any questions:

We answer you within 24 hours by email. But 95% of your questions are answered on the site. Try to use our contact form which will guide you to all these answers.

Don’t forget to read the Forum, where thousands of users exchange information and experiences.

In any case, don’t panic. If you don’t get an answer during the weekend, it’s normal: the team is resting 😉

We are passionate and professional in our job. Our only goal is to make you happy, as much as possible 😉

Eco-responsible packaging:

Preserving the environment is a top priority. That’s why we are doing everything possible to reduce our environmental footprint.

The first thing is to sell quality products that will last, be repairable and will please you for a long time.

The second thing is to sell for less. Most of the pollution coming from a Board is in its use (the km driven to use it) and in the countless environmental damages you have to do to pay for it. Each euro spent is a sum of damage related to your life quite simply: eating, working hard etc… By reducing the price of our products, we significantly reduce your ecological footprint on this item.

For our shipments we use:

  • Flexi-Hex: ecological packaging of very high resistance.
  • Paper Craft Scotch Tape.
  • Final packaging made of high-end cardboard.

All this for:

  • Reusable and recyclable packaging.
  • An almost total reduction of single-use plastic.
  • Maximum protection and impact resistance thanks to the innovative design of Flexi-Hex honeycomb (35mm thick).

Tracking of your parcels :

The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.

If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.

Delivery:

We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.

We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.

For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.

Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.

Reception of your front wing:

Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.

But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

Returns:

You can choose to return your products if:

  • You are not satisfied (14 days right of retraction).
  • You want to change an item.
  • You have refused your package.

  1. PM Mauduit

  2. Christian Zechner-Lepuschitz

Hi, I changed from Curve to Fluid XL-T and XXL-T recently and am VERY happy with these foils. Way easier to handle than I thought and so playful and fast and the glide makes a real difference! Even jibing was not more tricky because of the glide.

  3. Jonathan Journeau

  9. Tomer

Fluid xxlt amazing foil. Very easy to lift yet still light weight to pump and play in waves. It’s my goto foil when the wind base is low. I also got a lt for wind base over 14 and waiting for the fluid xlh for anything in the middle

  10. Fred

  14. ROBERT Bunn

    Fluid XLT
I am 95kg and primarily wing with a lethal 5’3″
The Fluid xlt is simply amazing, it’s my go to foil unless the wind is over 25knots. I learned the basics on a curve xl (another great foil for a heavy guy) and then went to the fluid, It is so user friendly, it’s quick, manoeuvrable, has great glide, it pumps well when flagging and has a low stall speed too. It really seems to be a great all-rounder for me and highly I recommend it. I have paired it with a 43cm veloce stab as that is what I already had and they seem a good match. Couldn’t be happier with it thankyou Patrice!

Fluid M-T, Stab fast Kite 400, mast carbon 100cm
What a nice Wing for Kitefoiling! It comes to a stable fly, faster than i thought. it’s a really nice overall Wing, you can go fast, you can go slow (something around 22 kmh is possible) you can go downwind in the waves (the glide ist amazing), it turns fast. i came from moses onda foil and i will not miss the old wing – the Fluid MT ist perfect for the next steps in Kitefoiling.
Thx a lot for deviloping this super setup!
see you on the water in switzerland.

    Review XLT Fluid front wing
    Board 5 8 flint 70cm mast surf 40stab
Surf waist to shoulder high soft waves on beach
    Im 170cms and 85kgs
    Paddling
It’s a nice big wing which paddles nicely and provides loads of support while waiting for waves out back
    Take off
Take off was very different than the cart LT the wing felt more gentle and didn’t need to be pulled up onto foil on the wave but rather slowly moved up onto foil with out a kick even in the steeper waves
    On Wave Ride
The wing felt very controlable with not needing a lot of back foot preasure it felt fast but not uncomfortable just like the carve LT but it handled the steeper sections well where I have to push a little harder on the carve this felt
    Turning and Carving
This wing definitely wants to turn. The main diffeence I though between the carve LT and the Fluid T XLS Is that the fluid dosent seem to develop a bigger amount of power in the turns which means the board and weight can kept the same on board so making cutback easier and more controlled than on the carve
    Overall
I will definitely think of changing my wings as soon as I can save enough to do so. I can see this wing takeing over from my main front wing the carve LT in both wing and surf. I would love to try this futher and see how fast ot would go in good surf esp on pointbreaks and reefs
This wing seems very suited to rail to rail surfing and is controled and very smooth feeling

    🤩🎉

Report session Wing XLT fluid !
12/14 nds puis 14/16 nds avant le grain.
    Neutra 5m v2, lethal 5’1 , fluid 43.

Conditions : vent rafaleux, 12-30 nds, flat
Matos : associée au stab veloce 43, mat monobloc v2 85cm, aile Takoon V2 5m
    Mon poids 73kg

    Primera prueba Fluid XLT.
    Lethal 5,1” mástil carbono 85 ,fast 45.
    Neutra V2 ,5m
    10-13 kt
    70 kg
Pd. Ayer fue día de Unik y kitefoil.
