NEWS: FOIL SCREWS TIP !!!

There are a few of you who report loose screws during your sessions on the front wings of your foils, essentially the riders of strong builds who put a lot of pressure on the front wing. The light ones are normally spared from this.

All our foils come with high-end stainless steel screws with Torx heads and an ad hoc key to allow optimal tightening without deforming the head, unlike hexagonal Allen format heads which tend to round and round and become unusable after only a few sessions.

On our foils it’s therefore possible to firmly tighten the screws of your foil and this repeatedly because the Torx format heads hardly wear out. However, the tightening torque that this format allows can cause breakage when you push too hard. If you are concerned by screw loosening problems, we advise you either to put Tikal which also protects against galvanic corrosion, or to put a drop of threadlocker on each screw. You can loosen and re-tighten several times a screw that has been glued with threadlocker. The resin that composes it will stick to the male and female threads and will be effective several times on the small stresses we are talking about. In fact, the goal is just to dirty the thread to fix it during vibrations.
