However, even a perfectly rigid board can generate twist and flex when it is mounted above a foil. The ICS carbon plate is firmly glued under the inflatable structure. This part, made up of 1.9 kg of pure prepreg carbon and two foam stringers, is a jewel of composite know-how. By its design, it brings precisely what is needed in mechanical strength to be as rigid as a classic board, without increasing the total weight.
