FEEDBACK : GONG SURF ACIDOLLY BAMBY !!!

Damien has been surfing for 2 years with his Acidolly Bamby. Between the efficient shape, the concrete construction and the unbeatable price, one thing is sure, Damien does not regret his investment: “A little return on my Acidolly after a little more than 2 years of use. I had never taken the time to do it, but with containment, there is time for everything. I bought at the time a pack, with Bag+Leash+Pad. I admit, I only used the Pad, preferring a Knee Leash, but the pack was as expensive as the Board+Pad alone. I was interested in GONG Boards at the beginning only for price reasons. My previous Board was a custom shape, longboard comp (narrow, thin rails, a lot of rocker, little volume) with a price 2.5x more expensive than an Acidolly. I must say that I have no regrets about my purchase. This for several reasons: – the shape. Really, I was surprised. Bravo L’Ours. Of course, you don’t choose your sides, even if I was looking for a bit less volume and a little more length. But it must be said that we have here a Board that works well, that turns very easily (and even more so with the sides), that stays in the pocket in the hollower waves and works well (thanks for the volume). – the quality of construction. It’s solid. I’m not soft with my Boards, and now, after more than 2 years, it doesn’t move. I dinged it, but no matter how it was built, it wouldn’t have changed anything. – versatility. This shape is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced surfers. I was looking for a compact log, like my old one, the Acidolly does the job perfectly. I gave it a try to a friend of mine, a beginner, she also managed to surf it easily. – Finally, the price. There was no possible competition from any other shop (on a new Board, of course). The GONG recipe works, nothing like other Chinese boards that flood the market in traditional surfshops. We have a high performance Board for less than half the price I would have paid at my local shaper’s. Of course, I’ll try as much as possible to make them work, but when you have a limited budget, there, you get something new for the price of the second hand. Just a little flaw to note, she doesn’t like chop (neither do I, by the way), but I think it’s more due to the bamby/wckf construction than to the model itself. I haven’t tried other models from GONG, but it won’t be long now. Sorry for the rambling on and thanks for reading me.” Surfer : Damien and his GONG Surf Acidolly Bamby.
