The Curve takes you into a new dimension after the foil of your beginnings as Sébastien could experience:

New Curve and smaller board
“Quick feedback about my Curve XXL 1600/stab Curve L 43 from a modest beginner (80kg all geared-up) who became addicted 😁. I’m coming from an X-Over V1. I was using the HIPE 5’1 85l for this test (I had been using a HIPE 5’5 145l so far).
I was told that you should change the elements of your gear one by one etc. Blablabla, as I’m sailing on a lake, I’m not risking much, I put the new foil on the little HIPE and I threw myself into the water.
For your information, there is almost 1 kg of gain between the Curve 1600 / Pro fuselage and the X-Over XXL 2200 / normal fuselage, all this on the small HIPE, the gain is felt when carrying the gear but also in the water.”
The carves are sensational
“I flew straight away on my first reach and cleanly. Takeoff is really easy, the Curve perhaps requires a bit more speed to take off but it’s not day and night. The low range in my opinion is the same as the X-Over XXL. On the other hand, heading and speed are really something else. It’s crazy and its top speed it’s more than respectable for my low level (16.6 knots beam reach, can do better on broader reach I’m sure). In the turns the carves are sensational. I lent my foil to 2 experienced wingers who are on another brand, they had the same feel good impression as I had.
In gusty 15/25 winds like I have at the moment on the lake, I preferred to move the mast base back 3/4. I found a more natural position. As for the HIPE 85l, on your knees and standing in the lulls, it requires a little more concentration but it’s not out of reach at all. Besides, lake navigation allows relaxed learning.
The description sheet for the Curve is accurate, it’s a good match for let’s say an advanced beginner who will be able to progress on maneuvers with a predictable foil, with great glide and super fun.
Thank you GONG for not forgetting beginners by offering top products! The future looks promising 🤙”.
