FEEDBACK: CATCH FSP 2X KITE FOIL BOARD

“Here’s my experience with the Catch 4’4, which is 25L. I’m 1m70 for 65kg.

I was used to a shorter, homemade 15L board, with a big rocker on the nose (a must have on my previous home spot of Tarifa if you don’t want to pearl on its choppy playing field at the slightest touchdown). I went for the 4’4 to adapt to the lighter conditions that we have here in La Baule.

I was pleasantly surprised because it offered a good flotation for my new beginnings in kite foiling. I enjoyed a great glide for easy and smooth takeoffs and above all, it allowed me to recover the flight easily after a touchdown.

During my progression, I reduced the size of the foil for more performance, so more speed but less lift. Meaning that the slightest error with a loss of speed leads to landing the board but it’s super stable on the water so I can relaunch in a sec. It is great. Errors are inconsequential with this board size.

It’s a tolerant board, whether to begin with or to go next level. It’s neither too long nor too short. I don’t feel at all the need to have to change it for a smaller one, quite the contrary. It is just perfect for me to continue my progression. A shorter model would certainly be more manageable in the air but nothing bothers me, and whoever says shorter, says less forgiving.“
