Cons of kite

Kiting also has its bad side …

The danger linked to the power of the Kite is clearly its major concern. With a methodical approach, you risk nothing. With an anarchic approach, your visit to the hospital will only be a matter of time. A Kite that carries 80kg zeniths edge will be capable of pulling 800kg when in full window : impossible to hold it. So, we are true pilots : we consider margins and we anticipate everything.

It’s relatively physical, especially if you jump and fall. The crashes can be really violent. We must love getting smacked around and develop a musculature adapted to and maintained in order to enjoy.

It’s frustrating: bad weather 90% of the time, never the wind you need, not available at the right time etc … Kitesurf will push your frustration to level 10. But the 20 perfect sessions that you will do in the year will make you forget the downtime. And note that Kitefoil is lightwinds best friend.

Want to have really cool pals? You will surely meet a lot of grumpy and not a lot of super cool guys 😉 We’re far from the good old days when the Kiter were looking to take-off and chill out. It is often armored with ‘alpha males’ who think only of their egos and show off real close to the beach now… But nothing prevents you from going elsewhere to get your own groove on.

You want a perfect body: let’s go Kitesurfing, but 30 days a month because otherwise your body will quickly recover 😉

Your Insta will make the planet dream, unless you aren’t Aaron Hadlow hihi
