Talk to people who know about Surfing, quality advice is at your fingertips. How to recognize a charlatan? Look at his Facebook page, his Instagram account, you will quickly see if they’re a connoisseur or just pulling the wool over your eyes. … Attention, it is not a question of asking advice from world champions! You just have to find someone who can understand your needs and find the perfect solution for you and your progression, not just someone trying to sell you a Board!

Escape Marketing Techniques

Words such as “wave board” should have you running. We do not “wave” but “surf”. So even if you do not know anything about it, beware of impeccable packaging with a phony speech. You’ll find dozens of fake promotions promising the deal of the century, but few are worth it. In 90% of cases, it’s a guy in an office who resells products without even knowing what the point is. The price before the “exceptional” discount has never been practiced. It’s simply false promotion. A scam … What about advice? quality ? and service coming from pros?

Listen to Real Shapers

Many Shapers do a quality job. Unfortunately, some “brands” play the sorcerer’s apprentices at the expense of guinea pig customers. A nice decor, tasty advertising, and you end up with junk underfoot instead of a specialized shape. How is it possible ? Suppose you do not know anything about surfing shapes it but you’ve got a flare for business. You buy a ‘’cookie cutter” Board shapes from a small Asian who can’t swim. Then you find a photog and some scrubs that will make you three nice pictures in the water and presto: you have just created an International Kook Scam !!! It’s such a trivial reality … but it exists. One of our factories produces 40 different Brands. Out of these 40 Brands, GONG has long been the only one to impose the exact position of its Fins on the Shapes. For the 39 others it was copy-paste. Practical but really not Professional. And the worst is that GONG gets considered as and passed off straight shit !!! It is not the factory that is bad but those who order from them and do so without any competence.

Everyone knows how to make a Board that looks like a surfboard. But if you want more than just a piece of foam, there are real specialists, people who have a Culture of Shaping and a Culture for Surf.

Buy sustainable

A surfboard is expensive to produce and therefore to purchase. You have to take your time, search for information and invest only in a shape that really suits your needs. We believe that we must really start consuming differently thinking of future generations. In our opinion, a good product is a durable, solid, great to use, versatile and tolerant, at the top of the performance but without being complicated and without submitting to fashion trends. We also believe that a good product is an economical product because most of the pollution generated by our industry is the ton of energy used to raise the money needed to buy these products.

The more expensive a product is, the more you have to work hard and pollute to offer it to yourself. Think about it and buy it Direct, you will save 50%.

In conclusion

We advise you to address those who are able to show you their products in action themselves. They know how to get straight to the point and respond with precision and simplicity to your questions without ever having to sell you a line of BS. Their products are proven and have harmonious lines. Their product range offer sa logic that reflects the practice and meets the needs while respecting the surf culture. And they do not need to make you believe in an incredible deal to convince you 😉
