Technical details:

  • Board, 100% Mirasol Drop Stitch, the best of the best.
  • Single layer 1000D PVC over the deck and hull, super light board.
  • Double layer 1000D PVC over the rails for a super solid board.
  • 6’’ thickness (15cm), super rigid (4’’ (10cm) for the 8’0 that is made for smaller sized riders).
  • Pressure for use : 15 psi. Quality controlled at 25psi at the factory.

We fabricate these GONG Boards with this technology in one of the best Inflatable Boat factories in the world. Experts in the inflatable sports and producers of semi rigid boats, rafts, kayaks, inflatable structures and of course SUPs.

Our factory work according to our specifications and it is our Shaper, Patrice Guenole, himself that trains the workers to build to these specifications. It is an expensive and consequential task but it guarantees us a finer quality. Attention: Do not confuse this technology with that of the technology used by Low Cost companies that use a very poor version of the drop stitch and a single layer of PVC. GONG Boards cost less but are not ‘Low Cost’!!

Inflatable Couine Marie technology

The pros of the Inflatable GONG Couine Marie Technology:

  • Woven Dropstitch Double Layer Welded technology, the best compromise between weight/stiffness/strength. Combining our historical Double Layer Welded technology with the new Woven Dropstitch, this technology is by far the most reliable, lightest and stiffest.
  • Weight savings of around 20% compared to the classic Double Layer (no glue between the 2 welded PVC layers).
  • Rigidity gain of 30% compared to standard technology.
  • Strength gain: twice as thick as standard technology.
  • Double layer of PVC on the rails.
  • Triple layer central stringer on deck and hull for maximum rigidity and reduced vibration.
  • Premium Woven Dropstitch: the slightest irregularity is refused and the batch is resold to low cost factories.
  • High density Dropstitch Woven: with more threads per square meter than a basic Woven, it resists much higher pressures, lasts much longer, and does not present a risk of explosion.
  • Working pressure: 15 PSI. Our Stand Up Paddle Boards are perfectly rigid at 15 PSI. There is no need to overinflate them, but you can mount them at 20 PSI without any problem.
  • Two-year Warranty on all our Inflatable Boards.
  • We keep in stock all the elements that make up your Board because we are manufacturers. So, you can easily repair them and make them last for more than ten years. It’s as simple as repairing a bicycle wheel.
