The criterion of choice is therefore not only the size of the Foiler For safety reasons, the tips have an almost flat and thick facet to limit the risk of injury. The ideal, for performance, would be a sharper shape. We refuse to do that. So, the tip vortex is slightly higher but it is better to have a front wing that flies at 25 knots instead of 27 knots but doesn’t pierce your belly if you fall on it. The trailing edges are not sharp either even though they are thinner than the Rise profile.
